  1. The best way to compensate the guy's previous club is to have nothing more to do with this matter. Let them take that to the bank.
  2. Since Celtic are the only ones asking for foreign referees, I'd have thought it was glaringly obvious what it has to do with them running the game. What could be more fundamental in terms of a national Association than its ability to legislate and control its own game? Take that away and, effectively, you have no Scottish game to haggle over. "End of". The fact is that if you would stop swallowing the Celtic party line, endlessly regurgitated in our (their) media, then you might just see that our referees are no more "pish" than those in other countries. Also, that the referees today make no more or fewer mistakes that has ever been the case. If you want some kind of sanitized affair where every decision is either black or white then you're in the wrong sport ... try chess? Football isn't about getting every decision right, it's about trying to do so and taking every decision for the best of reasons. Neither is it about using every divergent view of refereeing decisions as an excuse for the sort of juvenile whining and petulance being expressed by the Celtic management and supporters. Why you think we should advocate the same behaviour or outcomes is beyond my understanding. You might even want to consider what kind of above-average integrity it takes to be a referee in the face of this polarized asylum and parties like Celtic who have absolutely no interest in the fairness implied by their quest for foreign referees, only in their own ascendancy at whatever cost. Your suggestion was truly dreadful because, in every sense, it pandered to the Celtic view of the world ... that you enhance your own position by decrying everything and everyone else in the game until, by guile or luck, you get your own way. If you can't see that then you're as bad as they are and deserve all the criticism coming your way.
  3. I wouldn't believe the bheasts if they said morning followed night ... or their mouthpieces in the media.
  4. Don't know if it's true or not but it's certainly conveniently timed.
  5. Truly dreadful suggestion - why not just let celtic run the game from top to bottom and have done with it?
  6. Superb - gonna have to send that to a few folks.........
  7. No one liked him but this would never have happened when Jim Farry ran the SFA? He would have told Celtic to fuck off long ago but the acquiescence of the current SFA arse wipes is as much at the root of the current situation as celtic's absence of sportsmanship. I said in another post recently that the people now threatening referees would be detonating bombs in the streets of Scotland in another ten years time. Pander to disaffected morons and political pygmies and your reward will be something you definitely do not want. The papes and their pseudo-irish nonsense have been courted and excused in equal measure until they now feel entirely vindicated whatever extremes they go to. You would be making a grave underestimation to see this as only a football matter, these people will bring us all down before they're done ... unless someone reminds them soon that they are still only guests in this country, increasingly unwanted guests.
  8. A hugely significant week for Rangers fans everywhere, the more so because Celtic have gone to such extraordinary lengths to confirm their absolute lack of dignity. To see Lennon grubbing around, clutching at any passing excuse like a ten bob whore; it just confirms everything I ever thought about that shower of shit. I can't help feeling an enormous sense of satisfaction at the determination of the Celtic hierarchy to put the reputation of their club in a place from which it may never escape. There seems to be no pretence anymore and every season sees their slide into sordid bad sportsmanship become increasingly manic and inevitable. There doesn't appear to be the slightest composure left, with this bizarre bullying of officials now apparently club policy. What it does is bring into ever more stark contrast the difference between rangers and Celtic. They're not equivalent parts of the "Old Firm" myth. We're fundamentally different in every way and I thank Celtic for bring that to the attention of more and more people.
  9. No class, absolutely no class.

    Gazza

Well said mate. Gazza might have been a great Rangers player and we might understandably feel emotionally sympathetic towards him but he is still a real person living in the real world. In that respect his actions must be judged against the backcloth of the law and social acceptability.
  11. Except, Holland and Belgium don't subject their referees to social and personal intimidation in the way the ta1g practices his particular brand of persuasion in this country. Referees are only human but our refs live in a hugely polarized community, one section of which not only openly and routinely questions their professional integrity but routinely threatens their personal safety and that of their families. Everyone should ask themselves ... just how easy is it to remain entirely "honest" in these circumstances. I suspect the truth is "not very".
  12. Simple. It's those establishment Huns undermining ra sellick before an OF game. Pyoor sectarian orange bastarts man.
  13. The Rangers Supporters Trust awaits an early and transparent response from the new SFA Chief Executive Stewart Regan. Did the SFA respond so quickly that I missed it? Anyone heard anything?
  14. It's like trying to accommodate a bad smell by understanding someone shat on your carpet. In the end no amount of knowledge or understanding will stop it offending your sense of smell. Same with Keevins ... he's a dishonest wee keech and no amount or depth of analysis will change it. A stout blow across his eyes with a (metaphoric) baseball bat might afford the wielder at least some sense of justice however..... or failing that, a real one might also do a decent job.
  15. The producers of The Simpsons have contradicted the Pope's official newspaper by declaring that the animated family are not Catholic. It comes after the L'Osservatore Romano stated that Homer and Bart were followers. But Al Jean, executive producer of television show, said the pair only considered converting for one episode - The Father, the Son and the Holy Guest - aired in 2005. Neil Lemming say he will be reviewing Sellick signing targets.
  16. You mean there's some other kind? Who made it up? I'd safely say it was a rather worried bheast. The name doesn't matter, they all go to the same schools and all look and sound the same to me.
  17. Anyone read that shite in the Sun today ..... me neither ...... but if you had it would look like this. Tell me, is there an OF game around the corned and are the ta1gs feeling less than confident? What a bunch of predictable low life scumbags. Referee McDonald awarded the Hoops a spot-kick against Dundee United on Sunday for a Dusan Pernis challenge on Gary Hooper - then overturned his decision.McDonald consulted with linesman Steven Craven and the flag man indicated that keeper Pernis got a touch to the ball before bringing down hitman Hooper in the second-half incident. That sparked touchline fury, with disgusted Hoops boss Neil Lennon having to be calmed down by the fourth official before McDonald raced to confront him. Celtic eventually won the game 2-1 with Hooper netting the decisive goal in the 90th minute. But feelings over the penalty incident are still running high at Parkhead. SunSport understands that both Lennon and the directors were unhappy with Monday's comments from SFA referees' chief Hugh Dallas. Dallas claimed Lennon had accepted the decision was 'correct' in an after-match chat in McDonald's dressing room. But the Celts gaffer is believed to remain adamant the penalty should have been given.Dallas claimed: "Neil took the time to go and visit the referee's dressing-room about 40 minutes after Sunday's match was concluded. "They had a discussion and Neil accepted that the decision was correct. It was just unusual." Now, though, the Hoops have turned up the heat on both Dallas and the governing body by writing in no-nonsense terms. Celtic want a thorough explanation on the penalty ruling - and to discover what exactly was behind McDonald's thinking.
  18. Too many times we've done well in the first three games, only to flop completely in the second half of the group series. If we can change that to any extent at all then we will go through. We're already WAY beyond anything I expected but you can't now help hoping for what only recently seemed an impossibility.

    Ian Crocker

Can't see anyone mentioning kafflicks or King James ... what are you on about?
  20. Balloon being the operative word of course.
  21. Graham Spiers Ibrox chairman takes aim at ââ?¬Ë?trial balloonistsââ?¬â?¢ wasting clubââ?¬â?¢s time Alastair Johnston, the Rangers chairman, aimed a not-so-veiled barb yesterday at Andrew Ellis, whose doomed takeover of the Ibrox club consumed months of media coverage, by referring to the ââ?¬Å?trial balloonistsââ?¬Â who had wasted the clubââ?¬â?¢s time with what appeared to be a lot of hot air about taking over Sir David Murrayââ?¬â?¢s 90 per cent stake. Ellis, a London property developer, was eventually unable to put up the money required to buy Rangers this year. Johnston had long been a sceptic of the Ellis bid and reminded the Rangers AGM in Glasgow yesterday of his doubts about that and other rumoured bids. ââ?¬Å?All the expressions of interest in buying the club during this period have proved to be frivolous,ââ?¬Â the Rangers chairman said tartly. ââ?¬Å?However, this does not preclude any prospective buyer from pursuing a takeover of Rangers, although the current economic climate would temper our expectations. ââ?¬Å?We will remain receptive to any genuine and substantive overtures, but, as we have already demonstrated, we will be sceptical of any trial balloonists in this regard.ââ?¬Â The comment was a clear dig at Ellis, who frustrated the Rangers board last spring with an offer that did not stand up to scrutiny. Johnston also warned that, while relations between Rangers and Lloyds Bank had ââ?¬Å?improved significantlyââ?¬Â over the handling of the clubââ?¬â?¢s debt, there was no imminent sight of a fresh investor in the club. ââ?¬Å?Supporters have to be realistic about this,ââ?¬Â he said. ââ?¬Å?There are not a lot of potential buyers on the market suitable to buy Rangers Football Club. We cannot see a change in ownership in the forseeable future which will release investment which will underwrite our ambitions.ââ?¬Â How can this be when Northampton Loyalist had personal assurances to the contrary? Chortle snort snigger:fish:
  22. Let's not confuse UEFA with David Murray and his willingness and ability to get certain 'supporters' to promote his own personal agenda by interpretating UEFA's statements and turning them into something they never were. There's no such thing as simple truth in the sordid world of Rangers ............ we've been owned by an inveterate liar for twenty years and it has rubbed off on an awful lot of people over that time.
  23. The real issue here is that, apparently, supporters groups are expressing concerns about supporter behaviour ... without supporters being aware that "their" groups are representing their views in this way. Of course, these groups remain able, if not exactly willing, to speak for themselves. No, on the whole, this smells more like the RST.
  24. Not really. "Supporters group" could reasonably lead you to the RST and these were Bain's words not mine, I just happen to think he's capable of making huge errors of judgement and deliberately misleading the fans.
  25. Personally, I doubt very much this is coming from any " supporters group". Much more likely that members of the ****** press have been pressuring our CEO and he has buckled at his predictably weak knee. There was nothing whatsoever to be gained from raising this. WTF is wrong with these people?
