What ... it would cost us six figures to show him the door?
-
So why are we waiting for the bheasts to reclaim their own? Why haven't we shown him the door already? Why have we wasted time and money on someone that even non-rocket scientists could have predicted wouldn't commit himself to Rangers? Why do we so easily compromise ourselves?

Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks
maineflyer replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Does anyone else see Ellis as Murray's way of connecting to any future Ibrox property deal? Whatever else Ellis brings to this deal, it's difficult to see it having anything to do with ensuring the future success of Rangers ... or bankrolling any part of the deal. Can anyone imagine Whyte needing someone like Ellis at his elbow unless it was at Murray's request?- 74 replies

I'm flying to Jupiter for a pint tonight. No, it's true.

Jeff is so effective at making the bheasts look like ... well, bheasts really ... that you wonder why so few others have actually taken them on? Leggat also makes it look easy ... you can always judge just how effective by the manic nature of criticism from the roman herd. Does the vatican really wield such sectarian control over this pisspot country that our media are emasculated to the point of silence when it comes to any matter that reflects upon popish interests? Only here could the bheasts actually get away with playing the sectarian card every time their trail of slime threatens to become too visible. Scottish journalism, by and large, has become a home for cowards and bigots. Thankfully there are yet one or two lights in the darkness and all bears should applaud them for their courage rather than (as has happened too often on Gersnet) criticising them for their wordplay or occasional lack of it. Without the likes of Leggat and Winter ...... there really is nothing.

Hopefully our say in the Europa League will be short. We do not need fixture congestion like we saw three years ago. Enjoyed the CL but spl is our only real objective.

Agreed, good news.

Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks
maineflyer replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I tell you, that whole issue worries me intensely. There is no way in this polarised wee county that Rangers or anyone in a position of influence at Rangers will ever be allowed to benefit from any re-development deal without every inch of compromise being wrung from the club by the highly motivated Rangers-haters who control the political and contractual access. It would not surprise me at all to find out that the silent capitulation by Murray and his club in the face of demented attacks these last ten years is entirely down to courting GCC on the prospect of this very deal. Yes, I do believe they are that intent on diminishing what Rangers stands (stood) for.- 74 replies

Maineflyer understands that only so much bullshit should be allowed on behalf of Andrew Ellis, who is clearly a dreadful liability that Rangers should guard against at all costs.- 74 replies

Stewart Regan was ââ?¬Å?asked to applyââ?¬Â for his SFA job
maineflyer replied to boss's topic in Rangers Chat
By any chance, would the contrivance have deep enough roots to tap into the demise of Regan's predecessor? The stench of catholic conspiracy is overwhelming, as is the predictability of the sectarian card now being played to deflect from their skullduggery. Dirty fen1an bastards never seemed more appropriate. -
Big girl's blouse - strap it up and send him on the field of play. If he complains, break another finger ..... repeat until complaining stops..

Club Statement On Singing (yes, another one)
maineflyer replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
You took your time composing that reply, anyone would think it must have been important to you. -
After all the opportunities so far declined by the SFA to sort out this mess, does anyone seriously believe they will now take decisive action? No, neither do I. Once you reach that inevitable decision, the aimless ranting of sports journalists doesn't warrant much attention. The only credible attitude to the SFA is to expect fukk all, believe no one and leave any sense of justice to your sleeping hours.

Club Statement On Singing (yes, another one)
maineflyer replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
They just don't care S_A, no one at board level or senior management goives a flying fig about what you or I think is important. Sometimes it's difficult to know what to feel more depressed about .... the widespread control being exerted by what could collectively be called the anti-British community in Scotland .... or the willingness of Rangers management to stand up to these insurgents. -

Well said Craig, that is EXACTLY the point. -
Club Statement On Singing (yes, another one)
maineflyer replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
Could it be no one responded to your point because it isn't nearly as insightful as you obviously think? Of course the club is being put under pressure, surely that's a given. The real issue is how should the club deal with that pressure and spinelessly accepting the basis of these accusations is unlikely to be particularly productive. Instead of worrying about sarcasm, perhaps you should reflect upon the primary responsibility of our over-paid CEO, which I assume is not to endorse the basis of every sectarian-driven criticism levelled at Rangers. Bain is a weak man, an implementer where a leader is required. Since you're so in need of serious suggestion, I'll give you one ...... fight back against our detractors and expose their deceit. -
Well I think it's a decent idea. However, as in all things Rangers, who would administer the fund and how would decisions be taken regarding which causes to pursue? Please, don't anyone mention the RST

Club Statement On Singing (yes, another one)
maineflyer replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
Why doesn't the club just release a press statement confessing to more than a century of antisocial crime and announce that they are winding up the club's affairs, resigning from the SPL and advising all supporters to convert to Catholicism pro tem. Spineless bastards. -

maineflyer replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
I wish these people would stop embarrassing the club .... And I don't mean the fans. -
Bringing in foreign refs is possibly the worse decision I've ever seen from the football authorities in this country. It may get a few games played but it undermines absolutely both the independence of Scottish football and our ability to manage it. A truly dreadful show of incompetence by the SFA. I find the whole idea of foreign refs acutely depressing.

Bugger the game. I hope the weather is good enough for my plane to land back home tomorrow morning.:sigh:
