  1. Smaller teams aren't going to take our title away.
  2. From today's Sun..... And where the ultra-moronic found a surreal way to try and screw up a tribute to the 66 lives lost in the 1971 Ibrox Disaster. As the stadium fell still on ref Craig Thomson's whistle, a cough came from the Celtic End. Then another. Then another and another and lots more anothers until it was as clear as the red nose on a flu-ridden reindeer's face that this was an orchestrated effort to make a point. What that point was, we'll never know. But it seems some lame-brains just don't have the civility to shut the hell up for 60 seconds in memory of others. As the seconds ticked painfully slowly, someone in the middle of the away support started to applaud.
  3. The BBC website says.... A memorial service is taking place on Monday 3 January to mark the 40th anniversary of the Ibrox disaster. Families of the victims will be joined at the event by supporters and representatives of Rangers and Celtic football clubs, along with civic and political dignitaries. BBC Scotland will be providing live coverage of the service from 1100 GMT to 1145 GMT. Not on my TV it isn't. What gives?
  4. I don't want to barge in but you're quite right, we're all at sea when we should have been feeling buoyed up. I've never liked the cut of Murray's jib, he always sailed too close to the wind and it's high time we put a shot across his bows and told him to sling his hook or walk the plank. The club's been in the doldrums for years and desperately needs a new leading light.
  5. You mean we're all at sea? Up the creek without a paddle? Between the devil and the deep blue sea? Battening down the hatches before we keel over? Time to nail our colours to the mast before they take the wind out of our sails? Or are you just three sheets to the wind?
  6. Absolutely no doubt about that rbr, he'll soon know it wasn't for free.
  7. Almighty cock up doesn't come close to describing the damage done. In fact, I can't view this as a cock up at all. More like deliberate desecration. No apology will undo this.
  8. Well said sir. Possibly the only captain since Richard Gough...... Sorry Amo.
  9. What an embarrassment. They pick up every "name" that finds itself between contracts and seem driven more by reflected glory than serious team building. Typical PR tactics from the desperate-to-be-loved mob who would sign Pele tomorrow if they thought the press would swallow it. What a bunch of losers. We should hope they never change.
  10. So they can blame the player when they don't have to renew his contract? Anyway, I think we've possibly seen the best of Papac and moving him on might be a reasonable ploy. Allowing him to move for no return is classic Bain.
  11. Don't believe one word of that.
  12. Well said rbr, here's to gruel and luke warm beer. Have a good one Gersnetters ....... OK and you Super Ally.
  13. It's alright to take that attitude but who else is going to do it?:grin::grin: Besides, no one takes the bait like SA.
  14. Rule number one .... think for yourself Rule number two .... stay out of the inner circle Rule number three .... don't let the bastards tell you what you should think ....... unless of course you feel the need to support pointless censorship by admin with manoeuvrable judgement and short memories? Merry Christmas Barry
  15. Pete, I agree with everything you say. The attacks on Lee McCulloch are overdone and in this case were completely unnecessary. However, football fans will always have players they like and those they dislike, it's the nature of the beast. My complaint, if that's what it was, focussed on the apparent request for a poster to restrict their views because admin didn't happen to agree with them, which is also completely unacceptable. If we don't agree with someone, the normal course of action is to debate, not to censor. Other sites adopt that stupid policy but what I've seen of Gersnet tends to be a deal more mature. As for profanities, well we're all fukking sunk if they've got to go.
  16. Why don't you calm down a bit and let people express themselves without this prefect act. You've used worse profanities yourself.
  17. Even more bollocks, please avert eyes and resume life.
  18. And rightly so.
  19. I wanted to show my contempt for this shite by not responding at all .... but how would anyone know?
  20. So .... despite the best attempt at shit stirring by the likes of the Sunday Post, it seems TBB hasn't caused the world to end after all. I wonder why? (I'd just like to celebrate with some gratuitous use of the Fenian word ... Fenian Fenian Fenian)
  21. Brings back terrible memories. Much as we rightly take pride in these memorials, the event itself was brutal and truly dreadful and it takes some effort to bring it back to mind.
  22. That's the best news out of Ibrox for a while. Well done Naisy, the next few years could be where you really make your mark.
  23. I think we all know where we are with respect to money. Not really much point complaining over a situation we've known for a long time was inevitable. Maybe we should have complained about Murray when he was spending all that money we used to boast about, instead of lauding him as Mr Rangers.
  24. Well said Bluedell. I'd break a three year and oath and go back just to hold one end of that banner.
  25. It's obvious now you mention it.
