Though it will surprise you, I cherish your insults and feel fulfilled by them. You are my favourite insulter, and I've had a few. However, I feel your bitter but very welcome insults have been gained by slightly false pretences because Carson1912 isn't exactly unknown to those of us who waste our lives on football forums. Much as I enjoy fawning over him and would gladly have his children, it was actually just one bear recognising the unexpected arrival of another. I guess it's just a bear thing and I'm sorry for foisting it on you. I apologise for the jealousy caused by my attentiveness to Mr Carson. It has clearly caused you some distress and for that I am truly sorry. While I'm at it, I also feel obliged to apologise for my appalling transparency and for not meeting your own high standards. I'm well known for not forming coherent arguements and for never adding anything to any debate. I am pathetic and only come here to relieve the bleak loneliness of a pointless existence of insulting lassies (what a quaint word). That is indeed my level, which I'm sure raises only amazement amongst the Gersnet community that I could have been so successful at revealing your posts for the pretentious drivel they are. See ya.

The only thing that's hard to follow is the level of conviction you have that your views are beyond question. I think you've been hypnotised by a rogue 1980's TV magician and you're not to blame for the grinding, mind-numbing repetition. Still, it is instructive in its own way.

Walter says we get no accommodation for playing in Europe. Callers to Traynor's Your Call programme suggest pulling the seven Rangers players out of the Scotland squad on the basis we can't afford to have a limited Rangers squad taxed even more. Whether there's a means to do so or not, it wouldn't half send a clear message that the pendulum swings in both directions.

I don't think it's essential that an Independent Trust is endorsed by Supporters Direct. All it needs to do is embrace the principles of improving unity between supporters and acting in the best interests of all ... the operative word being acting as opposed to the verbal deceit that we've been served up so far. I agree entirely that we could quickly have vastly more members than the RST will ever see.

I can't be arsed reading back through his posts but it seems to me he's actually been advocating that freedom to post should be restricted to avoid muddying his waters. That really is off the mark and hints at an underlying intolerance that has no place on Gersnet.

You're most welcome Mr Carson, Gersnet will only be a better place for your presence. I highlighted one line from your post and you rightly hit the nail square on the head. All the debate in the world will achieve nothing so long as the megalomaniac at the heart of the clique decides he wants to stay... a bit like Murray, you can criticise till you're blue in the face and justify every sentence but it will count for squat while the problem wishes to remain in place. You can't force these people to go, all you can do is leave them behind until no one cares or notices any more whether they stay or go. The only solution to this for me is an alternative Independent Trust, run on truly democratic and transparent principles and with inclusion as its foundation stone. In fact, everything the current shambles isn't. You being here, several here being on VB, almost all of us being on RM .... so much is ready for sharing and common purpose. All that's missing is to give a name to that purpose and turn our backs on Dingwall and his madness.

If that's true then you must be seeing it between the lines because I can't see where he says anything of the sort. Perhaps you could offer some support for your claims by pointing out the exact sentences in his statement where you find this information.

Resignation from the board of rangers supporters trust
maineflyer replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
If it is a public "fuck you" then it's as appropriate and useful as all the studied comment. However, that was clearly a reactionary comment from someone struggling to maintain his own pretence. If I'm honest, as someone else wrote recently, I feel Alan Harris has simply tried to conduct himself in a very professional manner. The FSA are currently going well beyond previous authorisations and looking at everyone working within the financial services industry and reviewing, among everything else, personal & professional conduct. They're being very strict, and there isn't a day that goes past where people are not being notified by industry publications that a certain company or persons are being reviewed, investigated, fined or banned. He's clearly had no shortage of both reason and excuse to do what he's done. Maybe we should just respect his intentions and accept he has given up much and gained nothing from this exercise....unlike certain other RST headline acts who have recently published mere gossip for nothing other than personal gain....and unlike many others who compromise themselves with silence. -

Setting aside all previous, that must be a hard thing to do. But it's well done. -
Good point. However two up front allows you to have both Edu and McCulloch in midfield, which I think will be Walters preference
-
If he's still contracted you'd have to believe we knew that when we decided to try to sign him. You'd also have believe any club to which he was still contracted had to be involved in making him available for trial. Either way, I hope a deal is concluded soon.

Amen to that. Fuelled by envy and basic ignorance of our own club. -
Tongue in cheek Frankie, tongue in cheek. Can't always ensure folks recognise that though. I'm also greatly enjoying what our guests are offering, most entertaining.

God forbid Rangers ever leave the Scottish game for the EPL. I'd rather see us play at any level in our own midden than lose our identity chasing something that is actually far less important than it's too often made out to be. From one angle I can see the desire to see another Gazza, another Laudrup, and the realization that only greater sums of money than now available could see us go out and find their like. Personally however I get no less satisfaction and enjoyment seeing us overcome our challeges and lift a trophy with the players we have. Rangers will always be a great club to me and I'll never need anyone else to find favourable comparison with Barcelona, Man Utd or whatever in order to prove it. Europe's elite are increasingly judged on the basis of their spending power. Greatness is measured by wealth. Rangers have no access to that wealth but there are other more important and equally valid criteria by which to judge achievement and status, some of which Rangers have in spades. Give me an owner and directors who genuinely go to bat for those values and I'd feel we has just about everything. -
Ach, deedle just does what's expected of him. He has his job and he does it well. I believe he writes most of it himself.

The RST is a sad waste of time. I find it increasingly difficult to take seriously the attempts at elevated debate over something that's broke and ain't gonna be fixed in a hurry. That's partly because everyone can now see the sheer cesspit they've made of it and partly because the RST response to the recent shambles has been so indifferent that it's now clearly a lost cause. Job done.
-
Shame really but if you insist then I'll just have to watch from the wings as your superior approach wrests control from MD. Should I hang on for the victory or do I have time to go eat first?
-
But what Deedle does not say is that if you don't afford them what you describe as a way out, that they will then respond differently, which they won't. You're the one trapped in a one-dimensional perspective, not bmck.
-
I wear my deserved warning with all due shame and humility:) Maybe you and I can compare warnings. That'll be fun and maybe we'll be friends.
-
Bye ... and hurry back. I guess it was the "small pond" that got to him in the end.
-
I keep telling you, I'm not sad at all. I'm in great fettle, very upbeat and looking forward to your next insult.

Is this some sort of Gersnet happy hour where you get twice as much bone-grinding RST propaganda for the same price.
