  1. Thanks D'Art. I haven't read the book yet, so wasn't sure. His comments that you've quoted certainly give the impression of someone who's extremely interested in Rangers, maybe even extremely sympathetic to Rangers, but without reading his whole contribution in it's original form, it's difficult to tell.

  3. Yes, we signed him for the full season again.
  4. Aye, but is he an Aberdeen fan writing about Rangers or is he a Rangers fan from Aberdeen writing about Rangers?
  5. I thought we were talking to him about a short term deal, but he's signed for the whole season?
  6. Strange that the quotes from the player don't really seem to match the article title.
  7. Sunday, 24 August 2014 19:00 Lee Hopes For Minimal Changes Written by Andrew Dickson LEE WALLACE hopes Ally McCoist doesn’t rotate his team too much when he selects a side to face Queen’s Park on Tuesday night in the League Cup. With Rangers in the midst of a busy spell just now, the manager could be tempted to shuffle his pool for the meeting with the Spiders in Airdrie. Although Gers have scored 12 times in their last two outings against Clyde and Dumbarton, he’ll be keen to give some of his fringe squad members vital game time. Wallace appreciates it’s very possible McCoist will see the forthcoming fixture as the type in which to make temporary changes. But he’s hoping to retain his place as the Light Blues chase a place in the second round against SPFL Premiership leaders Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who beat Celtic yesterday. Scotland full-back Wallace, excellent in the 4-1 success against the Sons, said: “Again, the manager will make his mind up over the next couple of days regarding what team he puts out. “We were in training again today doing a recovery session and all we are focused on is Queen’s Park. “It’s an important game for us because we want to do well in the League Cup and everyone will want to be involved. “That’s the way it works at this club and especially off the back of two good results where everyone has come away feeling confident. “We feel good about ourselves. It’s the manager’s call and everyone needs to be professional about it if he decides to rotate a little bit. “We’ve a lot of quality players who maybe haven’t been playing and can certainly step in and do a good job. “Whatever happens, we’re looking forward to the match and we’ll just need to wait and see what the manager chooses to do.” http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7519-lee-hopes-for-minimal-changes

Lol, I had almost forgotten about those idiots. Reminds me of that photo from a year or two back of the Dundee Utd Ultras taken at the Ibrox gates. A tash sporting wannabe German porn star and 15 supporting gimps!
  10. Interesting report there elfideldo, especially hearing about the new Fife Academy. Good come back from the 17's! Regarding the 15's game, the lad Zak Rudden seems to net a lot of goals and regularly appears in your reports, so is he a good striking prospect?

I think Ian's posted it more because it's funny and makes the fans who made it look daft more than anything to do with it being a big deal.

Does 'ASC' stand for "Aiberdein Sooky Club" or maybe "Aiberdein Sheep Cuckold"?
  13. That's the prediction thread up for our Queen's Park League Cup Round 1 game on Tuesday night folks, so get your predictions in any time between now and kick-off. Do it here - Predictions for Queen's Park v Rangers - League Cup R1 (GPL game 6)
  14. It's just the way he's formatted them mate (that was a direct copy & paste from the PM he sent me). I'm pretty certain that what he means is: Prediction for the Queens Park game: 5-0 to Rangers, McCulloch FGS Prediction for the QOTS game: 4-1 to Rangers, Boyd FGS Prediction for the East Fife game: 3-1 to Rangers, MacLeod FGS
  15. Not sure if you've seen it mate (and everyone else!), but there's a thread for entering a full season's worth of predictions (league games only) which I started so that people have a fall-back prediction for every game. It's obviously not easy to predict FGS for a full season's worth of predictions, but it's a handy fall-back for anyone who forgets the odd game because you can still pick up some points. See here for more info and where to post them - http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?64892-GPL-2014-15-Full-season-predictions-(league-only) PS - It's easy to copy & paste the set of predictions I posted myself & just quickly edit the scores and FGS names.
  16. Folks, just a quick note to say that onevision is away on holiday for a couple of weeks, but before he left he sent me his predictions for the next few games. I'm posting his predictions here so that nobody thinks there's anything fishy going on when I add his predictions to the relevant prediction threads over the next couple of weeks. So the predictions he sent me are: Queens Park - 5 0 Rangers McCulloch QOTS - 4 1 Rangers Boyd East Fire 3 1 Rangers MacLeod.
  17. Well done to Mulligan and O'hare for nominating Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster.
  18. Full set of GPL results & standings after yesterday's 4-1 victory over Dumbarton - http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?65133-Predictions-for-Rangers-v-Dumbarton-SPFL-Championship-match-3-(GPL-game-5)&p=508723&viewfull=1#post508723
  19. Another decent enough summary of the situation by Richard Wilson, but I think his summaries are starting to get a bit drab and long in the tooth when it's constantly information we already know and he just keeps rephrasing it in a robotic manner.
  20. I was watching Malky Mackay's interview with Sky Sports last night and all I have to say is what a total and utter walloper!
  21. Final reminder to get your predictions in for the Dumbarton game today folks!
  22. Tom English has certainly changed over the past couple of years, that's for sure. The problems at Ibrox and the cabal trying to destroy our Club passed him a ball and he's still running with it.
  23. It's worth adding though, that while we don't actually know the exact details of any of these major contracts, especially the service contracts, it's almost impossible to say!
  24. I don't think any of the catering & service contracts were ripped up by Duff & Phelps TB and that's something which is possibly being investigated, but possibly not..... The bottom line is very subjective though because not only are we stuck with the service contracts and whatever they entail, but the Elior deal was reportedly worth a lot of money to the Club (presumably on a yearly basis), so if significant future payments aren't due from that, then it would be a big surprise to say the least given that D&P didn't write it off when they could have. As for the programmes, I have no idea, but it I would probably put money on the club getting a bigger % of the profit from a programme than they get for a pie a or a Puma strip. I could easily be wrong though and would be very happy to be corrected on that!
