It was apparently updated a few weeks ago, but previous to that it hadn't been getting updated in a timely manner, far from it in fact.

"When you were appointed as Rangers CEO last November you immediately said that the Club's cost base was far too high and needed to be reduced. That was over 9 months ago, so in the period since your appointment, how much has the Club's cost base been reduced by?"

"Given the clear and extremely worrying financial uncertainty for Rangers and the fact that you desperately need to get fans behind you, why don't you publicly announce that you won't take any bonus at all above your £315k p/a salary and that you will have your contract amended immediately to completely remove the bonus aspects of your remuneration package?"

Letham gives Rangers extra time to repay £1million loan
Zappa replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
As I said in the sentence you quoted, the lost revenue from those who haven't renewed would only have pushed back the inevitable cash shortfall that was always going to be a massive issue at some point this season. Let's say the full 36k ST holders had renewed and an extra £2.5m to £3m had been brought in, then after the £1.5m in loans had been repaid how long would that extra million or million and a half quid have kept the lights on for? The answer is 'not very long!'. Therefore, it stands to reason that the absolutely inevitable cash shortfall has actually been caused by continued overspending on unnecessary bonuses, pay-offs, expensive financial consultants, extortionate PR agencies and a board which has continued to run the Club outwith it's means without securing the necessary investment that they knew was needed as far back as last November when so-called financial gurus and geniuses like Wallace, Somers, Crighton & co were hired and appointed. -

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
Zappa replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
I'm quite happy overall for the young lads to have been sent out on loan, but don't think a spell at Clyde is a good move for Craig Halkett because none of these lads should be getting sent to clubs in the 4th tier and we probably shouldn't be sending them to clubs where the manager has no experience either. -
I'd imagine Gary Ralston already had the story going by some of his previous DR articles.

The drop in ST sales only accounts for about £3m (possibly less!) in potential revenue that's been lost, so while you're right that it would have paid off the loans, the remainder wouldn't have fixed the clubs overall financial crisis, it would only have pushed it back a month or so. -
Unfortunately, I don't think that website is a reliable source of info.

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
Zappa replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
They'd maybe be better off development wise in the lower English leagues, but not all young lads will want to move down there and there's also the possibility that they'd only be warming the bench down there too. At least at smaller Scottish clubs they've got a good chance of regular games if they're deemed to be good enough. -
I'm slightly surprised that nobody posted this image which was put up on FF earlier??? It supposedly lists the major shareholders as of roughly 3 weeks ago. Pinch of salt or factual?

Not surprised by that in the slightest since the Club is clearly in a dire financial situation again and getting desperate for cash. How good a source does the info come from btw? -

Apparently we haven't received any bid for MacLeod today from Wigan or anywhere else. -

That's a reasonably good move for the lad, since he's not going to get games for our first team this season. -
Aye, it looks like SoS didn't say anything about Dave King at all.

More confirmation of what we already knew - the guy's an eejit. -
That would be a very interesting development if true!

Yes, but it was listed as two separate trades of 1.8m, so could easily have been a broker buying the shares from someone like Mather and then selling them to another party.
-
There's been a few rumours this afternoon saying that the large share trades were actually just Craig Mather flogging his 1.8m shares.
