  1. Maybe that's why as elfideldo was pointing out, there was no match report or article following the Development league defeat by Hamilton last night.
  2. Bit strange really because the Club twitter account was tweeting about the game last night.
  3. So do you think the move to Clyde to play under Barry Ferguson was the best option for Craig Halkett elfideldo?
  4. It's not the Chairman's job to run the day-to-day business. Like Somers at the moment, Malcolm Murray won't even have been in Glasgow most of the time. Blowing millions in the 3rd Division/4th tier was purely the responsibility of Chuck, Ahmad, Stockbridge & their pals.
  5. Since you mention it, it does read like a fairly typical puff piece by Andrew Dickson. ET in publishing Dickson's article shocker!
  6. In other words BH, when you factor in the price increases, then the drop in ticket revenue per month compared to last season is probably in the region of £150k to £200k.
  7. Technically, that sounds roughly about right because over a 9 month season that would be £4.5m. There's been roughly a 33% drop in ST sales and the last full accounts stated that income generated from gate receipts and hospitality was £13.2m of which a 33% drop would come to about £4.4m. On the other hand, it's also misleading to say that the reduction in ticket sales is costing the Club as much as that because as we've discussed before, the price increases are easing the pain despite not fully covering it.
  8. Aye definitely. I noticed on transfer deadline day that they had loaned out that young lad with the weird name (Dylan something) who they got from us a couple of years ago. Sent him to Hibs for the rest of the season I think.
  9. That will be Callum McGregor you're thinking of. He's only just turned 21 in the summer there, but had a very successful year out on loan to Notts County last season. Scored quite a lot of goals down there for a young midfielder.
  10. Exactly. The administrators were only interested in making their money and completing the task they were hired for by Whyte which was to hand over the Club to Green & co. When Green & co got control they were only interested in maintaining the 'everything's ok' facade and buying the fans with a few signings plus bucket loads of moonbeams and lies. All so that they could float their new holding company asap, get rich quick and exit stage left. As Frankie rightly said, it's been a monumental opportunity lost, but that's because it was a monumental con from the outset by people who didn't give a toss about our Club, only in making money. Had the administrators sold the Club to people who were more interested in the future of the Club than lining their own pockets, it would (or at least should) have been a completely different story.
  11. Agree with most of that, but I do think the administrators should have taken a hard line approach to slashing the staff costs because they knew fine well that the business was loss-making and struggling big time as a going concern, so it was one of their primary tasks as administrators to cut the cost base. Instead of doing their job properly, they took a short term fix approach and eventually failed us on all counts including the going concern, bidding process & failed CVA.
  12. My point was simply that it's been the costs throughout the whole club which have been too high while we're in the lower leagues. Almost £18m in staff costs for a period where we only generated a fraction over £19m total income and still had over £13m in general operating/running costs to fork out plus all of the one-off or 'exceptional' costs on top. It's easy to point the finger at the manager and his highest paid players and say they've been costing us too much money, but when the Club has £34m in basic operating expenses for a period where it only generates £19m in income, then clearly there's much bigger problems in the way the business has been getting run than just Ally, McDowall, Durrant & their highest earning players.
  13. That's a very good point and he's also a bit of a master at completely avoiding answering questions by skirting around the issue altogether in his responses.
  14. I thought it was a little higher, but basically the Club's staff costs detailed in the last full accounts were almost £18m, so in response to you saying that the manager and the 8 players you listed cost us £4m a year, I'm asking where the remainder of the staff costs are disappearing to. If we spent £18m on staff costs, then which staff received the other £14m?
  15. It's not exactly a dream to imagine that we might play in a 4-3-3 formation, but as I said, we probably don't have the right players to do it well at the moment. That said, I think when our current team is flowing at it's best it does seem more like a 4-3-3 than a 4-4-2.

    Share movement

He's the menacing face/front of almost 27%, but I doubt very much if he even controls his own personal shareholding of under 5% because it's a family interest at best.
  17. I have no idea, so you'll just have to use your imagination.
  18. The only board members who aren't being paid excessive amounts of money considering the league we're in and the financial situation at the Club are the Easdale brothers apparently, but it's the top salaries across the whole staff at the club which are eating up all the cash.
  19. We could always play without a goalie so that Jig can help out in midfield and defense?

    Share movement

The Easdales hold almost 27% in proxy shares/votes and that doesn't include Laxey with their holdings close to 13%, so it's not difficult to imagine a large controlling block of shareholders above 50% collectively getting together to stop anything they don't want happening from happening.
  21. Something like this? :dm::sf::mz::ss: :ib::lm: :kb:
  22. Ally could always consider trying out a 4-3-3 system with all three of Boyd, Clark & Miller up front. If Ally were to do it, then it should see Boyd in the middle of the front 3 doing what he does best and playing in and around the box, while Miller and Clark would ideally have free roles to support Boyd, mix it up, switch to and from either side and drop deeper when required, but preferably not too often. The problem with a 4-3-3 though, is that it would need very good full backs constantly pushing forward and heavily supporting the midfield and for them to do that regularly during a match requires a very good central defensive partnership with plenty of pace, but that's something I don't think we currently have in our possible back 4 defensive options.
