Almost certainly unworkable Greg. Each of the 3 groups mentioned will have members who would be willing to allow it for the pursuit of the greater good, but there would be WAY too many objections from members completely against the idea for it to ever be possible. Chances = Zero.

Rangersitis, apologies as I thought you had written "I should add that this is only a failing of the RST" when you had actually written "isn't".

I can't agree with that at all because each of the 3 groups mentioned (RST, RF & VB) would be highly unlikely to give away the proxy voting rights of the block of shares their members have contributed to. All 3 would probably be happy to receive proxy voting rights to increase the size of their voting block, but there's virtually no chance any of the 3 groups will hand over their voting rights to another fan group or voting block.

There is absolutely no way the RST will work together with either RangersFirst or Vanguard Bears, not a snowball's chance in hell. It might be possible for VB & RF to join forces, but I can't see that happening either because it would require VB to proxy their voting rights to RF and I don't think they will do that because VB have invested a very considerable amount of money in shares and will probably want to keep control of their own voting block. The only way I can see any remote possibility of a 5% (or more) fan voting block in the near future, would be if it were formed by a consortium of wealthy fans who each have considerable numbers of shares or if those types of fans were to proxy their voting rights to either BuyRangers or RangersFirst.

No Frankie's correct, it's 25 points. The new SPFL RULES AND REGULATIONS state that the penalty for an insolvency event is 15 points (previously 10) and that a second (or further) insolvency event carries a 25 point penalty. Quoted from Section E (E1 to E5) of the rules & regs:

Personally, I'm 100% behind the train of thought that Sandy Easdale should be removed as a Rangers director and I would go even further and recommend that our board of directors vote to remove his brother James as well because neither of them should ever have been appointed as Rangers directors in the first place.

Completely understand you mate, so you must have explained it well enough! Regarding a 'proper trend of the price', here's a chart which shows the whole shooting match:
-
Someone who wants to make money on a personal investment wouldn't do so, but someone who's asked to purchase shares for a specific reason obviously would, especially if it's not technically their own money being spent on the shares.

Maybe they all went along to Mar Hall for another Jolly and the comedians did a standup routine for the Malaysian guest party? -
A couple of directors buying shares will soon sort out the slump as it did back in May when they announced on the 7th that Somers had bought some and then announced the following day on the 8th that Easdale had bought some too. The share price went up a good few pence that week IIRC.

Nothing from Rizvi about Blue Pitch Holdings investing that 50 million quid Toxic Jack told Merlin to tell us about a while back then? -
Recent events have given the share price a bit of hammering. A drop of 2p might not seem like much, but it is when the price is so low and 8% is almost as bad as the impact from the LSE announcement of Wallace's 'Business Review and Strategic Plan Update' which caused the share price to drop by well over 11%.

They have mate. They renamed it this summer from SPFL U20 League to SPFL Development League.
-
It's not the first time it's happened because older players like Steve Simonsen (and others) have featured for our U20 squad at times over the past year, but truth be told, playing men over 30 who are closer to 'middle age' than 'U20' is pretty embarrassing for youth football and young player development. This new 'Development League' isn't a proper youth league, it's a hybrid of U20 & Reserve leagues.

Tuesday, 09 September 2014 16:51 Daly Back In Action Written by Neil Smith RANGERS striker Jon Daly was back in a blue jersey this afternoon as he featured for the club’s under-20s in a league match against Aberdeen at Murray Park. Last season’s top scorer at first-team level had been recovering from a knee surgery which ruled him out of the club’s summer tours to the Highlands and North America and he has also missed the start of the 2014/15 season. Today, however, he got 45 minutes under his belt as Gordon Durie’s second string lost 3-2 to the Dons in Auchenhowie. Fraser Aird also played in the first half before being replaced at the break and at that stage the visitors were two goals up. A glancing header from centre back Scott McKenna gave Aberdeen the lead before their number 11 Scott Wright blasted a low shot past Liam Kelly after a neat one-two had taken him into Rangers’ 18-yard box. At the interval Darren Ramsay replaced Aird while Kyle McAusland went on for Daly but the Dons went 3-0 up into the second half when Cammy Smith’s shot across Kelly found the bottom corner of the net. The Light Blues never let their heads got down and when Andy Murdoch found McAusland with a perfect through pass he finished well to give his side a glimmer of hope. Rangers were now in the ascendancy and when Craig Halkett was fouled as he went up to head a cross in Aberdeen’s 18-yard box, Dylan Dykes stepped up and showed great composure to side foot the ball home from the spot to make it 3-2. Durie’s side continued to push forward in the closing stages and Halkett came close to netting a dramatic equaliser when he jumped above substitute keeper Reece Willison but he couldn’t direct his header on target before referee Steven Kirkland’s final whistle. RANGERS: Kelly, Sinnamon, Gibson, Halkett, Finnie (Roberts 70), Aird (Ramsay 46), Murdoch, Hutton, Dykes, Walsh, Daly (McAusland 46) SUBS NOT USED: McCrorie, Brownlie, Ogen, Burrows http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7620-daly-back-in-action

Exactly gunslinger. That's actually our best (and possibly only!) chance of winning the main legal case with Ahmad because everything hinges on his handwritten letter from Green which could have been written at any time, possibly even after they both left the company & Club. For Ahmad to have a rock solid case based on his letter from Green, you would think the letter would need to have been notarized or witnessed & dated in similar legal manner.

I don't want to continue this much more since it's off-topic for this thread, but I was obviously being sarcastic with the 'dozens' comment. I do think the two sections are better apart. In fact, I never thought it was a good idea for The Blue Order & Union Bears to be merged and chucked into the corner in BF1 in the first place. Going back to Hildy's original point about the two singing sections splitting again, I wonder if there was maybe a bit more to it than just differences of opinion etc? For example, there wasn't actually enough space for both groups in BF1 as more and more young lads wanted in with the UB section and it started spilling right over into BF2 for a lot of games. It might still spill over into BF2 anyway, but at least TBO aren't caught up in the BF1 chaos (and policing) and can get on with their own displays etc as they did previously.

Having 2 separate singing sections instead of 2 very different groups lumped together into a corner is a good thing. Plus, maybe the singing will eventually catch on and we'll have dozens of singing sections generating a great atmosphere at Ibrox.
