No they didn't. What was stated in the Open Offer was "At the minimum level of subscription additional working capital will be required towards the end of the current calendar year." but that could mean anything. October, November and December are all in the final quarter of the calendar year. It was claimed £3.13m was raised and the offer stated costs/expenses of £370k which would leave £2.76m. Was this interview conducted in a pub with 10 pints and a couple of fag packets?

Neil Patey's facts & figures look completely wrong, in fact they're absolutely miles off.

That's basically the problem because for these great ideals of fan ownership to actually happen in any sort of reasonable time scale they need to be purchasing at least 5% of the Club per year and that's BEFORE you start to consider potential shareholding dilutions.

Gersnet Prediction League 2014/15 (prediction league for Rangers games only!)
Zappa replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Get your predictions in for the ICT game on Tuesday night folks - Predictions for Rangers v Inverness CT - League Cup R2 (GPL game 9) -
I think even the far smaller target of 5% is going to be a massive struggle for both BuyRangers AND RangersFirst combined/collectively. It's going to take every penny these fan ownership vehicles are raising just to stop their percentage from being heavily diluted in further share offers, so the money will essentially be going into a black hole with potentially 100's of thousands spent trying to retain something like 1 to 2 percent holding collectively between them.
-
Even just the prospect of the dilution a new tranche of 100 million shares would cause must be a frightening prospect for some of the investors who didn't expect to lose their money within 2 years. It's not a prospect the fan ownership groups like BR & RF will be relishing either.

Gordon Waddell: Rangers fans must realise that......
Zappa replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Let's leave the bad mouthing of fellow Gers sites and groups to elsewhere. This has been requested politely many times in recent weeks by every single one of our admin team (Frankie, Craig & myself), so this is a final warning. Next time it's a stint in the sin bin aka temporary ban.- 90 replies

No, he was there all along mate. I made 100% sure that I had all the pics. 24 from the 1st team pics page on the Rangers site plus the McKay & Gasparotto pics we were using on here last season make it up to 26 total.
-
You didn't look hard enough mate.
-
Forgot to say that the reason Luca Gasparotto and Barry McKay are still in last year's strip is that they seem to have been left out of the official site's first team squad profile photos page altogether for the moment.

FINALLY! That's the new 2014/15 season Rangers player photos now been customized as we usually do and uploaded into the forum's smilie folder in the section titled "1st Team", so you can use them for suggesting and/or discussing formations on match threads or whatever you like folks. To use them it's exactly the same as it's always been on here. You just type the initials between two colons of the player image you want to use. The only exceptions are for McCulloch you type 'jig' instead of his initials because he has the same initials as Lewis Macleod, for McKay you type 'mckay' instead of his initials because he has the same initials as Mohsni and for Simonsen you type 'simo' instead of his initials because he has the same initials as Smith. Those three exceptions are the same as last season though, so all that has changed is the players who left and the new players who were brought in over the summer. Here's what they look like: :simo: :rf: :dm: :sf: :jig: :mz: :ss: :ap: :cg: :lm: :ib: :kb: :jd: :kh: :mckay:

Let's put it this way, the initial GreenCo 'investors' (some of whom may or may not have gotten most of their money back very quickly via IPO cash) paid the administrators £5.5 million for the whole shooting match. They shortly afterwards claimed it had cost them well over £10m, but given Green's propensity for telling porkies, that seems far-fetched.
-
I saw that and with us playing them on Tuesday night in the League Cup I thought I'd take a look at their form. Was quite surprised to see that although they lost 3 goals today, they hadn't conceded a single goal in their first 5 league games beforehand.

Especially when any prospective owner knows what Green & co paid.
-
Needed or not, even the slowest of the slow will be starting to see that it's a financial black hole they've invested in.
-
If they were to offer 100 million shares at 10p each that would be quite an attractive prospect for someone looking to take control of the Club.

The Ulster Gizelle.

At least he doesn't use Tom Miller's nicknames for the players!
-
It's a bit of an eye opener when you consider the amount of cash they need to raise to be able to comfortably pay the bills from November till the end of May. At 20p a share they would need to issue and sell 50 million shares to raise £10 million. At 16p a share they would need to issue and sell 62.5 million shares to raise £10 million. and so on.....
-
It's obviously just a sort of term of endearment/friendly nickname type thing, but it does seem a bit OTT and daft at times.
