    Did the applications & CVs go directly to the nominations committee or were they handed to the committee by a member of club staff? Put simply, if certain candidates were overlooked (especially high caliber ones) while others were shortlisted, then it raises the question as to whether or not the nominations committee were the only ones doing the selecting or if there's a possibility that certain applications were removed from the running before even reaching the nominations committee.

    McCall has been an excellent manager for Motherwell working with an extremely tight budget, but I agree that he's not good enough for Rangers.

    Your guess is as good as anyone's mate. The selection and election process seems pretty strange to me, especially given the large number of extremely active fans who were excluded from the whole process. I also think there's perhaps one or two people who've been elected to represent a particular demographic who are actually a million miles away from the fundamental core of their demographic and highly unlikely to properly represent them.

    The Hamilton v Motherwell game has went to penalties after extra time finishing at 0-0, so the draw is delayed.

    Well, Celtic beat Hearts 3-0, Dundee Utd beat Dundee 1-0 and the Hamilton v Motherwell game has went to extra time at 0-0.

    I live in North Lanarkshire, so yes, there's a lot of tims. It's probably a pretty even balance in the area though and that's why there's sometimes serious trouble. The common factor is always alcohol.

    In fairness to anyone doubting the process, there were apparently one or two really top notch candidates who weren't shortlisted while other less desirable ones were.

    The bitterness has deepened even further over the past couple of years though mate. Before the shit hit the fan for us in 2012 I remember quite a lot of trouble in my local area on the evening of Old Firm matches with pretty big street fights, stabbings and all sorts of madness. There was almost always trouble in the local pubs as well and now I think it would be even worse.

    With a fully fit squad I think we could give them a good game and maybe even win it, but there would definitely be serious trouble before and after the match. It's a tough call, but I'd rather avoid them for the moment and take them on when we're stronger.

    He holds the voting rights for Blue Pitch Holdings (often referred to as 'BPH') and also Margarita Funds Holding Trust. BPH & Margarita owned 6.6 million shares (just over 10% of the company) between them before the recent share offer, but I don't know what size their shareholdings are now. He holds the voting rights for another sizable chunk of the company too, but it's not clear whose shares they are.

    Quick note to say that Bluedell has asked me to enter his predictions for the next couple of games as he won't be able to do it himself. He's going for 3-1 Rangers wins with Boyd FGS for the next couple of games, so I'll post his predictions when the time comes.

    There's conflicting information on this because the RIFC investor website was updated on 8 August, but it appears to have not been updated correctly, so was (and still is) misrepresenting the figures for Sandy Easdale by saying he had 2,942,957 shares which was 4.47% and a total of 26.42% voting rights. In actual fact though, it was previously announced back in May that he had increased his shareholding to 3,000,000 shares (4.61%) when he purchased 57,043 shares which took his total voting rights up to 26.71%. This was the announcement from May........ Millions of pounds getting spent on NOMAD, broker, accountancy, legal and advisory fees and collectively they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
