  1. Exactly! Double points across the board for tonight's point scoring!
  2. When an updated share register is released we'll get a better idea of where Blue Pitch Holding & Margarita Funds Holding Trust stand in terms of their updated holdings. Unfortunately, I don't think for one minute that Rizvi would have been over visiting for a meeting if BPH hadn't invested in the Open Offer, so I'm pretty much expecting an updated share register to show BPH having increased their shareholding.
  3. The title says: "U20s v Hearts (finished 3-0 to the Gers)"
  4. The two brothers are practically joined at the hip though and they are clearly in this together, so for me it's imperative that when calling for the removal of Sandy Easdale, we should be calling for the removal of his brother too, especially when his brother sits on the PLC board and has a vote on extremely important matters. If Sandy were removed, he would still be calling shots via his brother James, so they both need to go.
  5. As has been said previously on this subject and by a fair number of people, the fan ownership vehicles BuyRangers and RangersFirst were damned if they did and damned if they didn't subscribe to the recent Open Offer. Buying up shares in the Club is the raison d'être of these fan ownership mechanisms, so while they'll undoubtedly have had a very difficult decision to make due to all sorts of reservations and uncertainties, they essentially had very little choice other than to bite the bullet and forge ahead with their stated objectives.
  6. Don't forget to post your predictions before the ICT game kicks off tonight folks!! Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v Inverness CT - League Cup R2 (GPL game 9)
  7. I don't think the UoF are perfect or that they've necessarily got everything spot on since they formed, but they're definitely spot on with this Easdale & Rizvi stuff because the Club should never be associated with someone like Rizvi via a Club director like Easdale, so it makes Sandy Easdale's position untenable. The only thing I think the UoF have gotten wrong here (and also in their previous statement/s about this subject) is that they should be going even further and calling for the removal James Easdale from the PLC board too because he also appears to be directly associated with Rizvi.
  8. Good statement from the UoF there!
  9. Good win for the lads and it was an away game too was it not? Edit - Aye, it was through at New Victoria Park, Newtongrange.
  10. This is an appropriate week to simply say......... NAW!
  11. Was it the leaked recording of Imran Ahmad & Brian Stockbridge having a meeting with Craig Whyte where they were discussing an investment from Rizvi being used to help fund the GreenCo purchase?
  12. Given that Rizvi was previously named as the man behind BPH and BPH played a major part in the EGM requisition to appoint James Easdale to the PLC board, is not possible that the Easdales are actually working with or working for BPH and/or Rizvi?
  13. Football, religion, politics, banking & the Monarchy all rolled into one post? Are you trying to create the perfect storm Hildy? Good read mate.
  14. It's at the stage again where it's becoming almost impossible to separate fact from fiction and truth from lies. Absolutely disgraceful.
  15. Yeah, I started so that people could start discussing the match tonight. Just post it in the match thread when you're done and I'll move it into the OP for you with a credit that it's a preview from yourself.
  16. Thanks Bearman! Get your predictions in before the ICT game kicks off tomorrow night folks - Predictions for Rangers v Inverness CT - League Cup R2 (GPL game 9)
  17. Agreed and I think he's really confusing the issue for a VERY large number of Rangers fans out there if he's saying nonsense like this in the mainstream media from the perspective of a 'financial expert'. Nonsense about us needing to raise "at least £2m" to see out the season is misrepresenting the Club's financial situation to the extent that it's making me wonder who's paying Patey for his 'expert' commentary because a figure 3 times as high (£6m) would probably still be too low.
  18. It really is a mystery, although I can understand why we wouldn't be able to attract a good quality of loan signing while playing in the bottom two tiers. This season it's different though. We're in a much more competitive league and gunning for promotion back to the top flight, so the only reasons I can think of are that we didn't look for loans, couldn't find any or on a related subject, that it had something to do with our supposed lack of senior scouting.
  19. Can't help returning to this point from Neil Patey: Broadly speaking? I'd love to know what figures he was looking at when he came up with that £2m figure. Ok, so he did say 'at least' £2m, but the figure seems completely ridiculous. Ten days ago it came out in court during the Ahmad case that there was only £1.2m in the bank. After costs the Open Offer should have raised around £2.76m. So that's less than £4m in the bank before even starting to deduct loan repayments, Ahmad's settlement, potential bonuses (or pay-offs) and other ongoing costs. Even if we assume that Sandy Easdale won't be getting his £500k loan back at the moment (which we don't know for sure, but he did say as much in a recent interview), the combination of the Letham loan repayment and Ahmad pay-off would probably reduce the cash balance to somewhere around £2.6m. There may not even be as much as £2.6m left if other bills unknown to us have to be taken off it (which is highly likely), but erring on the side of being optimistic, let's say there's around £2.6m left after paying George Letham and Imran Ahmad. £2.6m is only enough to pay the September & October payrolls, since our monthly payroll is apparently in the region of £1.3m. As things stand, we've only got 3 home games in what's left of this month and next month and with two of them being midweek, the ticket sales won't be great. So, the board will probably need to raise money in November with 7 months payrolls still to be paid in order to see out the season. Where on earth is Patey plucking the £2m figure from then? Neil? Hello? Earth calling Neil Patey... Earth calling Neil Patey...
  20. No Clark did come off because of a hamstring issue.
  21. 5 goals and 9 or 10 assists in less than 20 appearances (most of which were from the subs bench!) is not normally considered 'pish'. We probably wouldn't have won the League Cup final against Celtic that season if it wasn't for world class vision from Weiss to make 'THAT' pass to Jelavic from the quick free kick in extra time.
  22. Just in time for Ally to go with a 5-4-1 formation!
  23. You're right 26th, I don't think we've had any incoming loan signings at all for the 1st team since Kyle Bartley went back to Arsenal at the end of the 2011/12 season. Every single 1st team player brought in has been on a free transfer except for Templeton who cost about £700k. Since Green & co took over in summer 2012 we've brought in 22 players on free transfers, which probably adds up to a considerable amount of money in signing & agents fees. We've also been paying players much higher salaries than was necessary since 2012, although that's a difficult subject because we would have needed the administrators to get rid of ALL of our high earners from the playing squad back in the summer of 2012 if we wanted to start paying significantly lower wages throughout the squad. Certainly an interesting question regarding why we haven't been able to attract any incoming loan deals.
