    It's listed as: Salary: R2,826,000 Bonus: R1,500,000 Total Annual Compensation: R4,326,000 So it's basically about £240,000 including bonus.

    MMG has been doing well since his SARS settlement, but the upturn in the company performance might not amount to much extra cash for King personally unless he were to sell up his shareholding in the company. If you're thinking along the lines of dividends, then MMG shareholders only got about 1p per share this summer, so if you held 50m shares in the company (example figure only!), then your dividend payment was only £500,000.

    Right folks, this thread has been cleaned up to remove most of the off-topic bickering and bitching which had almost completely derailed it and the thread is now open again for discussion of the original topic. If you want to bicker, bitch, slag off fellow fans and generally just cause arguments and trouble, then Gersnet is not the place to do it because that nonsense won't be tolerated here. If it continues, the ban hammer is coming out.

    Never mind our stadium naming rights getting given away for hee haw or the serious related questions regarding our retail income from the Sports Direct and Puma deals. Never mind the pass the parcel and musical chairs style of governance at the club for the past 2 years. Never mind the lies and deceit from plc & club directors or the contempt they've shown for the Club's support for the past 2 years. Never mind Rangers board directors intimidating supporters and supporter websites with legal action and threats of it. Never mind all that and all the other irrelevant stuff. Ally isn't a good enough manager.

    Not sure if I'd go quite that far Scott, but there's some big decisions to be made, no doubt about it.

    That part in bold is an unknown quantity because we don't know if Ally would just walk now if he was put on notice and if he did walk, we don't know what the reaction would be to a new manager who decided he was going to literally gut the squad and build a new one next summer because so many players are out of contract anyway. Look at what happened to Terry Butcher at Hibs last season with half of the squad downing tools.....

    This is an excellent point rbr because we desperately need to cut loose some of the deadwood and freshen the squad up..... BIG TIME!!! I think the following 1st team players are out of contract at the end of this season: Black Boyd Daly Faure Foster Hutton McCulloch McGregor Miller Mohsni Robinson Simonsen Smith Then there's important decisions to be made on certain young lads too and those are decisions which should definitely involve the 1st team manager. There's some good young prospects who've reportedly been refusing new contracts and/or extensions like Telfer did this year.

    I don't really know anything about Neil Smith, but I do know that the digital content for the website which is taken from RangersTV interviews (as this was) is almost always edited selectively. They don't publish every single word from an interview with Ally, they only publish a specific selection of quotes.

    That could easily be another deliberate mistake from Andrew Dickson who seems to have a habit of making mistakes in articles in order to mock the manager.
