  1. Embarrassing and worrying in equal measures because it would seem as though GreenCo and Rizvi are still involved even to this day.
  2. I'm surprised it's been allowed to get in such a bad state, but it's certainly a nice gesture to get it cleaned up.
  3. That's the predictions thread up for the Raith game at Ibrox on Saturday folks, so get your predictions in any time between now and kick-off. Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v Raith Rovers - SPFL Championship match 9 (GPL game 14)
  4. Well done to the SoS protesters for at least trying to do something, but this sort of thing is never going to seriously influence or affect Sports Direct or Mike Ashley, so unfortunately it's futile in that sense. Thankfully, it's not futile at all in terms of getting the message out via the press & media that our fans are not happy.
  5. Yep, no doubt about it, the situation left in the wake of Charles Green & co is seriously worrying. If we DO end up getting good retail payments/income from SportsDirect, then fair enough, but the way things are shaping up it's looking like Rangers are getting robbed blind.... AGAIN!!
  6. It's certainly a worrying situation regarding the merchandise and retail income because before administration the JJB deal was apparently providing a decent amount of income each season. It was somewhere in the region of £3m per season was it not? Now though, it seems completely uncertain how much income the Club is going to receive each season from retail & merchandise.

    Ibrox Suite

You might not be filling the sp1vs' coffers anyway mate. I'm not sure if Elior have the bar contracts as well as the catering ones.
  8. I've removed the image T4C. Gersnet previously received a legal letter/threat over the publication of the SP1VCREAM advert and with Frankie away on holiday as of today we can't afford to take any chances here regarding spreading defamatory stuff about the SportsDirect brand, especially photoshopped variations of their branding graphics.

    Ibrox Suite

shorerdbear, The Ibrox Bar in the Ibrox Suite is definitely still open and open next week.
  10. Good statement, but also worrying. Over to the muppets at the SFA and SPFL to decide our fate again then?
  11. Yes, despite all the silverware, the football was often poor for years before Whyte and that can't be changed. The downward spiral of Scottish football overall though, well, that can maybe be reversed. How about starting with the two muppets supposedly in power who actually don't have any power, Stewart Regan & Neil Doncaster? Sent packing with P45s? The stupid laws on so-called 'offensive behaviour' and 'threatening communications' haven't helped matters either for numerous reasons.
  12. I've seen quite a few folk suggesting that over the past year, but I don't buy into it Steve. It's almost 100% certain that the Ibrox attendances will go right back up when the fans trust the custodians of the Club with their money. The quality of football on show does have a bearing too though, but there's no quick fix for that right now.

    Ibrox Suite

Understandable and quite funny too in a way.

    Ibrox Suite

I haven't been in it yet, but it should be easy enough to find out if it's still open. I quite like the Lounge in the Louden. Just don't sing FTP or any other frowned upon add-ons!

    Ibrox Suite

The Ibrox Bar in the Ibrox Suite that just opened about a year ago is still open is it not? It's open for 2 or 3 hours before the match and the same after the match IIRC.

  17. Does anyone fancy volunteering to write a preview for the next game or one of the others this month?
  18. The Wallace subject is a touch awkward because from the perspective of folk like myself who were always skeptical as to whether he was the right man and how much power he would really have, I think it's fair to say that his performance hasn't exactly covered him glory. A lot of us were immediately skeptical about his so-called 120 day business review and immediately saw the 4 month review period as excessive in length and little more than a stalling tactic. In the end, the business review was late being released and completely disappointing when it finally was because 99% of it's content could have been written by many a fan posting on a Gers forum. Where it starts getting a bit awkward though, is that while we were skeptical about Wallace and now almost 11 months since his appointment we aren't exactly over the moon with his performance, the truth is that we don't actually know how much good work he's done behind the scenes with Nash's help. Not only that, but from what we can gather it seems like Wallace and Nash are independent and not just yes men doing the bidding and boardroom voting of various mystery owners, so the attempt to remove them could be bad news if successful. Something that bothers me about Ashley's EGM requisition is that it doesn't include any proposal/s for replacements in the form of new appointments, so that leaves a massive question mark hanging over the plan and who would take over the CEO & FO positions.
  19. He was only appointed 2 months ago and already stupid stuff like this makes the new compliance officer Tony McGlennan look incompetent.
  20. Yes and that might be enough to tide us over till when? The end of December or January?
  21. It does remain to be seen how things pan out for SDM and his ongoing family 'interests', although as things stand, they do at least appear to be downsizing. Jim McColl openly said that he was tied into agreements which prevented him from investing, but whether or not he might consider himself as having something to make "amends" for is very subjective. To myself and a lot of other fans though, McColl's public involvement with the requisition a year ago ended up being disappointing because firstly, it appeared as if they were outflanked by a few shrewd operators in full-on panic mode, but more importantly, there was a sense that the requisition was only partially successful and that ultimately it didn't put the Club into the hands of more trustworthy people.
  22. My first thought on that one was Jim McColl, but it's interesting to see others read into it differently. Would SDM be considered as "someone very powerful" ??
  23. The boardroom is just a set of revolving doors/game of musical chairs. It's the ownership controlling the boardroom/s who are the biggest problem.
