According to various sources, he spends his days playing with his £50,000 Hornby train set which winds and weaves it's way through his pristine shrub & vegetable gardens under a water & fire proof shelter, hoping to one day own his own life size train and be the driver. Apparently, he also enjoys traveling on buses which are out of service and regularly asks the driver to stop off at Toys R Us in Glasgow so that he can look at new Hornby gear and other possible acquisitions. I would take this part with a pinch of salt, but apparently his fav' foods are Happy Meals, Heinz beans 'n' sausages, Banana Farley's Rusks and Little Angels Organic Carrot Flavour Puffs. Unfortunately, on a recent trip to Normandy, the owner of the chateau he was visiting had a problem with a racehorse after it was fed the Carrot Flavour Puffs. -

I doubt if GreenCo will play ball with Brian Kennedy just as they aren't playing ball with Dave King. King and Kennedy would have been better using 3rd party front men to deal with the overgrown kids acting as GreenCo placemen.

Very disappointing news about Nash resigning because by all accounts he was one of the good guys and supposedly excellent at his job. The board are probably caving in to Ashley's demands because they're desperately trying to avoid the EGM he requisitioned.

That's touching on what I was thinking myself along with the fact that there's been fears that the GreenCo/Easdale block would try to gift themselves more free or virtually free shares or money-spinning contracts. In a roundabout way, Dave King might have played a blinder here.

You asked me to tell you what was new after having said yourself that there was nothing new in the statement and I think I've done that, but as for whether Dave King is really showing his hand or playing a long game, I honestly have no idea, just like most of us.

Ashley is certainly getting his pound of flesh and looks set to maybe get another pound or two, but I can't agree about hoping we don't get promoted because that would almost certainly compound our financial problems and set us back even further. Parasites or not, we simply must get back into the top flight ASAP.

Much like oor Wullie, he plays up to his readership with a mix of nonsense and leaked information while getting a lot of stuff wrong, but once in a while there seems to be a golden nugget of information in there, such as his very early suggestion about Ashley looking for (or maybe even getting) the branding/trademark rights.

We didn't know about the board asking Dave King to consider a debt/equity mix deal to allow a swift loan before a General Meeting and soften the dilution blow to shareholders voting on the equity part of the deal. We also didn't know that Dave King & co were open to such a deal. The only specifics we had been fed was that King & co were offering £16m for 51%. The fact that certain aspects of the deal were leaked (£16m for 51%), but other aspects of the discussions were kept secret points to whoever was leaking info from the boardroom being deliberately selective with the info. I don't think he chose to speak his mind about Jack Irvine and the continued leaks and spin mongering as a 'petulant' swipe and nor is it a mistake. It's not news to us online, but he's clearly intending to highlight in the public domain and mainstream press to the wider support that Jack Irvine is still spinning PR on behalf of certain shareholders, perhaps even certain directors.

Maybe you have better sources of info than most of us, but there seems to be a number of points in the statement which we didn't previously know about. I think it's worth looking beyond the raw basics of what he's done or not done here. Very few of us know what to believe or what's really going on, but there does seem to be a clear message in this statement that it's not over by any means as far as Dave King is concerned.

The tims are desperate for GreenCo and their placemen to retain control and hive off more Club assets to Ashley instead of allowing Dave King & co to come in.

Toxic Jack appears to have been pretty busy because the obsessed village idiot from Donegal is right onto the anti-King/pro-Easdale bandwagon too. Apparently the Easdales are 'real Rangers men' all of a sudden.

I hope Merlin is pleased with himself and his contribution to the anti-King spin and propaganda. Now Rangers will bend over while asking Mike Ashley to apply lubricant and be gentle.
