  1. Since his appointment almost a year ago Somers has done virtually nothing other than bullshit, patronise and lie to our support with total contempt. It started with his ridiculous statement that the Club and fans should actually THANK Brian Stockbridge for the wonderful job he'd been doing and Somers hasn't gotten any less ridiculous or embarrassing since that drivel left his cake hole.
  2. Folks, we're still looking for volunteers to write match previews for a bunch of games in November and December. If anyone fancies having a go at writing a match preview just post to let us know what game you want to do and we'll put your name down! _____________________________________________________________ Completed fixtures Jul 03 - Buckie Thistle v Rangers - Friendly - Zappa (done) Jul 06 - Brora Rangers v Rangers - Friendly - forlanssister (done) Jul 15 - Ventura County Fusion v Rangers - Friendly - Zappa (done) Jul 19 - Sacramento Republic v Rangers - Friendly - no volunteer Jul 21 - Victoria Highlanders v Rangers - Friendly - no volunteer Jul 23 - Ottawa Fury v Rangers - Friendly - no volunteer Aug 02 - Derby County v Rangers - Friendly - Frankie (done) Aug 05 - Rangers v Hibernian - Challenge Cup - Zappa (done) Aug 10 - Rangers v Hearts - SPFL Championship - 26th of foot (done) Aug 15 - Falkirk v Rangers - SPFL Championship - shorerdbear (done) Aug 18 - Rangers v Clyde - Challenge Cup - Super Cooper (done) Aug 23 - Rangers v Dumbarton - SPFL Championship - Zappa (done) Aug 26 - Queen's Park v Rangers - League Cup R1 - forlanssister (done) Aug 30 - Rangers v Queen of the South - SPFL Championship - Frankie (done) Sep 12 - Raith Rovers v Rangers - SPFL Championship - shorerdbear (done) Sep 16 - Rangers v Inverness CT - League Cup R2 - BrahimHemdani (done) Sep 20 - Alloa Athletic v Rangers - SPFL Championship - Bearman (done) Sep 23 - Falkirk v Rangers - League Cup R3 - no volunteer (done by Zappa) Sep 29 - Rangers v Hibernian - SPFL Championship - Hildy (done) Oct 04 - Livingston v Rangers - SPFL Championship - blueflag (done) Oct 18 - Rangers v Raith Rovers - SPFL Championship - Super Cooper (done) Oct 21 - East Fife v Rangers - Challenge Cup QF - Little General (done) Oct 25 - Dumbarton v Rangers - SPFL Championship - Bearman (done) Oct 28 - Rangers v St Johnstone - League Cup QF - no volunteer Nov 01 - Dumbarton v Rangers - Scottish Cup R3 - no volunteer (done by Frankie) _____________________________________________________________ Upcoming fixtures: Nov 04 - Cowdenbeath v Rangers - SPFL Championship - SteveC Nov 08 - Rangers v Falkirk - SPFL Championship - ??? 3. Maybe David Somers accidentally locked himself in a cupboard in Ibrox and AJ was the only one with the key?
  4. There were quite a few high scorers on Tuesday night and you weren't the highest.
  5. Great read Frankie! I think Donald Findlay inadvertently raises an interesting point with his use of the word 'entity' because while Rangers is still regarded by the football authorities, legal eagles and most sensible people as the same football Club with it's full history intact, it's also technically a different 'entity' in a corporate sense because TRFC LTD was incorporated on 29/05/2012 and RIFC PLC was incorporated on 16/11/2012. It's that technical contradiction which was always going to be problematic for us and which gives our enemies undeniable ammunition to bombard us with because they can't win the 'new club' argument, but they certainly do have a case in the 'corporate entity' department.
  6. Don't forget to post your Dumbarton v Rangers predictions before kick-off! Do it here - Predictions for Dumbarton v Rangers - Scottish Cup R3 (GPL game 18)
  7. We did that two years ago when we had Robinson at Auchenhowie while he was playing for QotS and again last year on the build-up to the Cup final at Easter Rd.
  8. Hopefully there's a move away from the red & black stuff.
  9. After being down south for so long he wouldn't have been in a massive hurry to get a contract mate, so even if we did offer him one, it wouldn't surprise me if he had held out for a better deal.
  10. I'm not so sure that us signing him was ever really on the cards.
  11. Get your Dumbarton v Rangers Scottish Cup predictions posted between now and kick-off folks! Do it here - Predictions for Dumbarton v Rangers - Scottish Cup R3 (GPL game 18)
  12. Pete's visiting from Germany and maybe he'll just fire on through to Dumbarton without a ticket, but maybe not.
  13. If it's down to getting spares outside the ground, then it's not the best situation for someone like pete who's over from Germany for a short time.
  14. Did you manage to get a ticket mate? Someone here is sure to be able to sort you out?
  15. It's only an announcement triggered by the 3% notification rule. They previously had 2,375,000 shares and purchased another 200,000 which took them above the 3% threshold with 2,575,000 shares / 3.2%, so a notification was required.
  16. Apologies folks, I've had a hectic few days and haven't got round to sorting out the results and standings tables for Tuesday night yet. At this point I'm thinking I'll maybe just do them on Sunday before collating the results for the Dumbarton Scottish Cup game. Someone else has started the predictions thread for the Scottish Cup game, so get your predictions in between now and kick-off. 17. LAST CALL !!! Don't forget to post your predictions before kick-off. Double points tonight folks!!! Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v St Johnstone - League Cup QF (GPL game 17)
  18. Your figures are completely wrong SC. The accounts a year ago showed that under Green's regime we were making £13.2m from gate receipts and hospitality. Even if that level of revenue this season is down by about 30% due to off & on field issues, then it's a drop of under £4m. That figure of around £4m would only have delayed the inevitable and delayed the need for loans or serious investment by two to three months.
  19. Spot the common theme......
  20. Wee bump for this thread. Have you voted for Gersnet yet folks?
  21. I'm not saying it's all Mike Ashley's fault, but his man Llambias was acting on Ashley's behalf and keeping the purse strings tight, so they didn't have the quality and fire power to compete and perform at the level they really should have been. That club should have been doing better under Ashley & Llambias, that's all I'm saying, especially with the extent of Ashley's wealth and the fact that he's provided massive interest free loans. One decent season out of 7 isn't exactly very good.
  22. I've got no idea mate. For all we know it's been paid and spent already, but I don't know. That's the type of question that Scottish football hacks should be asking and keeping asking until they get an answer. If that's still unknown come an AGM, then it should be one of the first questions asked and not let up on until there's a credible answer.

Looking on the bright side, at least we're using nice shiny ice buckets or whatever they are to catch the drips and not dirty old buckets.
