  1. I'll always remember him for being crap and me wanting him to never play in the first team after his first few games.
  2. If you think that the only players that could walk into our team are of the quality of Xavi and the likes, then i'm off to think of some more "rediculous opinions". But first, i've got to digest the most rediculous opinion of all. The one you just made!
  3. I have to laugh. Noone accused anyone of anything until you used the word "accusing"
  4. I'm very suprised at how touchy some people can get from what i said about McArthur. I don't want to create hell on here, so i'll leave it with the post i made and to sum up BMcK has put a very good summary of my thinking more or less on the subject. I'm just suprised that people can take offence to someone saying a player is good enough to walk into our team the now. If thats the case, and we are looking to sign him, surely thats a good thing for all involved, team, fans, board... everyone?
  5. This is one for the future, but i'm very suprised at the amount of people who think this lad is "mediocre" and "uncreative". Obviously you have not been watching him closely enough. I've watched him a lot since last season with James McCarthy and can promise you he could quite easily walk into the Rangers side the now and keep his spot there. He does so much off the ball, his movement and positional sense are second to none and is very creative. I'm not sure if people are judging him on a couple of games against Rangers. He wasn't the best in those games but he can stand out nearly everytime in the big games for Accies. The only problem i have is the price Accies are associating him with. I certainly don't think he's worth nearly 2 million quid. He does want to come and i think he is a Rangers supporter, which helps. The way Kevin Thomson sometimes plays, this lad could do no worse. But he's not up to the billing of Davis yet.
  6. I take it you didn't read my last post on the subject then Statements that are made without reading All the posts indicate being out of touch with reality :fish:
  7. To be honest, i'm not one for looking ahead and i actually normally DO take one game at a time. But for some reason i decided to lok ahead for this months fixtures and liked what i saw. The fact Celtic are losing at home to Hibs may have influenced me slightly. I have said on here before not to EVER say it's over too early(i wish i'd not started the thread now) as i was devastated when they clawed us back and won it two seasons ago and vowed never to do it again. But hey, here i am, old habits and all that. I think we should take it one game at a time but when you reach the halfway stage and your 10 points clear, ANY teams supporters would have that wee temptation to sneak a look at the next few fixtures and try to say it could be over soon. Lets be honest, we deserve the title thus far, more than them and complacency is dangerous. So, let's knock this thread on the head as i really DO regret starting it now! :spl::spl:
  8. Has anyone looked at the fixtures for the next month yet for Celtic? Going by the way they have been losing games, there's a distinct possibility it could be all over by February 28th. It's something that is said every season. But this time it could be true when you examine the fixture list. Here's the next few games for Celtic and Rangers Sat 30th January: Hamilton v Celtic Rangers v Falkirk Outcome: Is it possible for Celtic to slip up at New Douglas Park? Possibly! But I'm going for a 2-1 for Celtic and a 2-0 For Rangers. League: p pts 1. Rangers 23 54 2. Celtic 22 44 Tues 2nd Feb Killie V Celtic Outcome: Killie are slowly improving under the 2 Jimmys and a re due a bigish result. I'm going for 1-1. League p pts 1. Rangers 23 54 2. Celtic 23 45 Wed 10th February: Celtic v Hearts Motherwell v Rangers Outcome: We have played fairly crap at Fir Park recently and are due to thrash this lot. I think we will do them this time and get a grinded out result, maybe 1-0. I just fancy Hearts to grind out victories anywhere the now. They are so good at playing defensively and hitting on the break right now. Another draw at Parkhead, probably 1-1. League p pts 1. Rangers 24 57 2. Celtic 24 46 13th/14th February: Aberdeen v Celtic Rangers v Hibs Outcome; Tricky one, if Aberdeen are up for this it could extend our lead. But i don't trust them and think they could lie down to help Celtic in the league 2-0 Celtic We have a tricky one at Ibrox but we'll win 2-1. League p pts 1. Rangers 25 60 2. Celtic 25 49 Sat 20th February Celtic v D.utd St. johnstone v Gers Outcome: Dundee Utd will draw that. We'll scrape another 2-1. League p pts 1.Rangers 26 63 2. Celtic 26 50 Sunday 28th Feb Rangers v Celtic Outcome 2-0 to us league over!!! League p pts 1. Rangers 27 66 2. Celtic 27 50 16 points will be too much!:spl::spl::spl::spl:

    Hero

That was great. He's my hero lol:spl:
  10. Every goalie we've had bar Klos has been adequate at kick outs. DiCanio shit it in my opinion. Ferguson was clever enough not to react to his baiting on the pitch, but from what you hear afterwards was all for a square go in the dressing rooms where motormouth had disapeared by this time. Fanny!
  11. Despite agreeing with Laffertys comments about Nicholas, and laughing my head off, fact is it's got Lafferty riled and he's reacted again. To come away with the statement about a Bentley and test driving a Porsche is rediculous. Any season ticket holder reading that should be livid with such a childish, inane, pathetic rant. Nicholas is probably as rich as he is, but it looks like Lafferty is using money to say to Nicholas "i'm better than you are". How bloody childish is that? Fact is Nicholas made the comments probably to get a reaction. And it's worked again. Lafferty keeps biting and he's going further and further off the scale with most Gers fans. Ok, he was right about Nicholas, he could've took England by storm, yet is famed for one goal in Englands third rate competition. Charlie is a big heeded bastard and the comments from Kyle will have brought him right back down to earth. And good for Lafferty for doing that. But at the same time i'm raging with him for running to the papers again and coming away with a load of childish pish! The guys who say he is quickly becoming a liability are correct. How many times is he going to make a name for himself the wrong way before he actually does something constructive for the club and supporters who pay for him to wear nice clothes, eat in nice restaurants and drive fast cars? So, childish and immature it beggars belief.
  12. Why do Celtic ALWAYS get an easy draw at the first few rounds. Last few years has seen them get really easy teams when we are paired with harder sides. I don't think it's fixed but sometimes you wonder.
  13. Personally, i'd go with ... 1. McGregor v Celtic 2. Ruddy Motherwell 3. Olejnik v Celtic Highlights here...http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8440472.stm
  14. They never explained why they got abus, but it sounded like they had already flown in from Togo, and were either going to their hotel or to training. Emanuel Adebayor said at first he thought it was a robbery until they kept shooting. They were on the bus hiding for up to 30mins whilst the shooting went on. Not sure if that means their was armed guards on the bus who returned fire because i think if there wasn't the terrorist group could've murdered the whole bus if they had wanted. In that respect, it sounded like they wanted to make a point, which they did. I too voted No, but that's not really a fair point of view since i don't understand the reasons behind what happened. I think the organisers want to continue with the African Nations Cup to send a message back, that terrorism will not interupt everyday business. Sounds like Maggie Thatcher could be the president of Angola as thats the kind of thing she used to come away with.
  15. I don't think at the moment theres any risk to Algerian players. Not sure about African politics, but Togo appear to have been targeted deliberatly by a seperatist group from Angola. The way it was described when i heard it, Togo were the sole victims and noone else appears to be the target. Ofcourse, that doesnt make it any safer.
  16. 49-celtic 50-bolton hahahaha sounds about right!
  17. Whoever was responsible for even associating this guys name with our club, should be shot! He is dreadful. Purely and simply. If that was a scout, then he should never work in football again. If it was one of the coaching staff, they should issue a public apology to the fans and endeavour to make it up to us with a good, talented footballer. Theres lots of them out there, surely to god a scout can get that right. If someone gave me a scouts job, i'd make sure i'd get it right. A five year old could've seen that Rothen was not up to the job in the SPL.
  18. I suspected as much Zappa. However, it is in Hamiltons best interest to get that game on with it being a TV game the revenue they make will boost their income. Usually rearranged games are much more poorly attended than what the original intended one was going to be. To be honest, the only thing stopping that game from going ahead is the pitch. So, lets see what kind of efforts are made to clear it.
  19. I'm not far from Hamilton. It should be on as far as i can see. Cars are freely travelling around here, Motherwell, Wishaw, North Lanarkshire and Glasow for most parts. Okay the traffic can be slow but roads are well cleared, just a bit slushy and dirty thats all. The only thing i'd be seriously concerned about is a hard pitch. It's getting upwards of -7 and -8 now for at least a week and although it hasn't snowed atall for 3 days now, the ice is a problem for grass. As is the case with most places, paths off the major roads have not been treated and can be treacherous, but it's not so bad and most people are getting used to dealing with it. Life goes on despite the cold and most people are at work. As far as i can see, and regarding roads leading into Hamilton, that game should be on.B ut the pitch i cannot give any insight on.
