I said the Biscuit tin lid was sellotaped shut for this managerial change yesterday and i'm sure i will be proven right for the whole escapade. They are aiming way too low. Us Rangers fans can see that because it has happened a few times to us. I notably remember when Dick Advocaat left that i was shocked when we were being linked with the calibre of manager of Alex McLeish after having a 'grade 1'(compared with the quality of eggs lol) manager like Advocaat. We ended up with a 'Grade 4' manager like McLeish and we learned it was a money saving exercise in the years to follow. Well, the exact same thing is happening to them here.

Theres a few changes going around europe this season. The same old seem to have been displaced by younger, fresher teams playing exciting football. Wolfsburg, AZ Alkmaar, Bordeaux(prob), Besiktas or Sivasspor, Standard Liege are all teams that are seen as underdogs but who have come through with impressive displays to take their countries league title. When the draw comes round i'd love us to face Liverpool or Man U, Real Madrid and Wolfsburg. Obviously not all at once as we could do with a wee easier team to get 6 points off of and get into the Europa league if we don't manage to qualify for the latter stages of the Champions league.

I'd like to meet the guys that planned that. That is pure fucking genius btw. Can we give them an spl winners medal too, just for that alone it's woorth it hahahahahaha:devil:

I may change my mind come september, but after yesterday theres no doubt it's winning the league. That's our bread and butter and without that for 3 years a few of us were being starved to death!

I watched Whitbread play against my team Scunthorpe on Sunday. I've watched him play a few times against Scunthorpe this season. Although i can't really say i was watching him, i did notice the big tall, blonde guy at the back of Millwalls defence. We beat Millwall a few times this season so he didnt play well, but i would go with him as a potentially good signing. He plays on the left side of defence as i can remember. If it's true i'll be happy as most of the Americans we've signed have done well(apart from Beasley) I heard he used to be a Liverpool youth player too

Yep agree mate. I honestly think he'll still be here if Walter stays. He won't get the captaincy back but he'll be around to try help us and maybe help the youngters.(not with nightlife coaching though or life skills lol) Ferguson can take the abuse that'll be dished out around Scotland when he visits away grounds, but your right he needs to quit the moaning and get used to being a squad member. That alone may help him quit the moaning and feeling of being the only guy that can save Rangers. He is a �£4m player you have to remember and must come in handy sometimes in a campaign. It's either that or sell him for buttons and reduce the wage bill. But i'm not so sure Smith wants that and there does seem to be a change of heart from a lot of our supporters.

Yes, he definetly does play when he isn't the main man Gribz, it's just it's rare to see him as that as he has been the captain for so long. But i agree with that point. I suspected he might mute his celebrating, but when Boyds goal went in you could see him behind Walter and Ally in the dugout going mental and at that point i kind of thought this is a shame for this guy he's Rangers through and through and it's gone on too far with the punishment. I even got to thinking i think Smith wants to forgive him and move on. Good point SA. When we got to Hibs and had won 7 out of 7 before that, i honestly thought if we could win that day at Hibs we could have had the title winning party at Ibrox v The Sheep. Maybe most people will agree now that to win ugly(or so they say is ugly) but to win nonetheless is better than to have someone in who wins the fans over for the nice football. Give me Smith anyday over a freeflowing football purist who wins bugger all. Smith is the champ at this and if he can bring a day like he did to us yesterday, the Scottish cup final next week aswell as the UEFA cup final, Scottish cup final last season and to lose the league in infortunate circumstances...Not bad atall for 2 and 1/2 seasons work atall.
