  1. Let's adopt it anyway, get it over the line and make the necessary changes when we have a new board and a full membership, driven club1872.
  2. I voted for James Blair for reason of expediency and it was supposed to be a temporary secondment. However if i had know he would hold the keys to the safe, the passwords to the computers and the title deeds to the various companies, i might have had a second thought.
  3. I got the email from club1872 about the vote for reinstatement of Joanne and Laura, I voted yes. My thinking is better those two in sorting out this clusterf@ck, than outside watching it continuing.
  4. I want a active, robust, unafraid supporters representation, we are the fifth biggest shareholder in our club and we act like Serfs.
  5. Who cares what the truth is, got nowt to do with us having a drama night and spoiling a good thread lol
  6. Independent Club 1872? That rather looks like someone has been economical with the truth.
  7. Oh the banter, fair cracks me up. Aberdeen had 4 season without Rangers in the league, whit the feck did they achieve, perenial second best, feck off ya tit.
  8. William Cowie and Alex Wilson now. Whit the feck is going on?
  9. I have just seen the rumour he has a job with the club, but i don't retract what i wrote. I don't know what position he's taking up with the club but whatever it is he'll puts bit of steel into our club, he's a fighter and they seem to be in short supply there.
  10. It's a sad characteristic of our support that we pick on, castigate and denounce those willing to put themselves forward on behalf of the support. I suppose everyone should know by now that goes with the territory, but it still come as a shock at the levels of vitriol it reaches, especially in Craig's case. It's happened before with the likes of David Edgar and recently with Chris Graham and it will happen again. In Craig's case he became the story, Club1872 with him in it became a target too. Yes he made a mistake or mistakes, but by him resigning he has taken away the stick to beat c1872 with, namely himself. For all his mistakes this act has to be commended. I'm not making a martyr out of him, he did what had to be done for the benefit of not just for himself but for the benefit and the future of the group.
  11. Had an email from Club1872 saying Craig Houston has resigned from the group. Sorry to hear this as i was a supporter of Craig', I thank him for his work and wish him well.
  12. Thank you Gersnet for posting this thread, I'm a member of clu1872 and a monthly contributor. I never cancelled my Direct Debit because i passionately believe in this organisations aims and ambitions. We need to get our act together on this because c1872 is too important to fail, i don't pretend to know what has gone on but clearly there was some clash of personalities? One key issue from the very off, was the point of the clubs independence, Rightly or wrongly some felt that issue was compromised with one director riding two horses at the same time. I voted for James Blair in the director elections, because even though he was the Rangers secretary, i thought he could do a job for us setting up the rules and articles of association. However i never thought i would be a long term position with c1872, indeed he made it clear his position was temporary, for those two reason he got my vote. I'm not raking over old coals, but it should be made very clear in the rules or articles, that anyone joining c1872 is for the advancement of supporters representation and not a platform for their personal advancement within Glasgow Rangers. If there is a position within Rangers that any director or committee member would like to apply for, then they must resign their position forthwith from c1872. If they are subsequently unsuccessful they can then at a later date or during elections, put themselves forward again for a position within the group. I have been banging on for a few years now about how c1872 should approach the special projects aspect, financing various building work, giving loans to the club or whatever. Buying shares you clearly own the shares in the club, but what do the support own if say for instance we paid for a safe standing area in Ibrox. If the club was sold on to new owners what does c1872 retain, or own if anything, on these projects or works. Is projects a gift from us to the club? Get our act together and we the support can make a difference in helping the club, but equally important, we can increase our ownership and cement our presence within our club.
  13. Oh nearly forgot, the ref was gash the day, some of his decision's were bizarre. Hearts player jumps for the ball, make a James Hunt of it, falls and the ref gives a free kick to the player, Rangers player standing about a foot away shakes head in disbelief. Goodnight troops.
  14. We played better when they had eleven men, we just couldn't take advantage of our extra player. Second half we switched of for about twenty minutes, which to Hearts praise they looked the better team and almost took the lead. I've criticised Garner at times, but thought he deserved the MOM, tireless today, if he wasn't scoring or fighting for every ball up front he was defending. Not sure if i liked Kenny Miller playing in a deeper role behind the strikers? Tired of the negativity, 3 points is 3 points, i was happy
  15. There's a detailed thread on FF about all this, if the FF Detective agency can dig out the truth then any half decent journalist will follow the trail to it's epicentre, Celtic FC.
  16. Someone uncovered his twitter history, where there was a long timeline of historic sectarian and bigoted abuse directed at our club and support. Also his support for Republican terrorists and the usual celtic minded propaganda.
  17. I'm not renewing, i'm sick of the lack of support from this board. They only ever seem to stand up if anyone attacks the board. However the fans are fair game to every lying sectarian Journalists, bigoted bloggers and biased agenda driven supposedly impartial British Broadcaster. Not only are the fans are fair game, the club itself is allowed to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous bigots, without any sort of reply. In my opinion the clock is ticking down fast on this current board, if change is not forthcoming soon on this particular issue, i foresee protest, yes protest. Not a word or action i thought i would use again when King and others were successful in their takeover.
  18. I would agree with this, we have no PR because the club don't want it. It's as simple as that, Our PR for what it is, can only do as they are told, if the club shackle them because the club is afraid to take the propaganda fight to our enemies, who's to blame?
  19. Never seen that before, pmsl though, that's exactly what i imagined lol
  20. Totally agree Frankie, our so called PR is a Neanderthal with a ipad. They don't know how to even switch it on, i can imagine them standing round it in a group poking it, sniffing it and licking it. Some big Alpha cave man miraculously presses the on button and they all jump back going oooooooohhhhh. God help us please.
  21. Knowing it is one thing, proving it in a court of law is another thing. Hopefully the prosecution have the evidence.
  22. There's not many young chaps who would turn down the chance to go to a big London club, glamour, wealth, prestige. Plus a nice increase in the pay. Just hope the club get a nice return for him.
  23. Might be nothing, might be something of interest then?
  24. Any legal brains on and explain this case please.
