Fletcher was actually trying to be more influencial on the game, however his delivery was very poor and that aspect he did not impress me. Robson took over and didn't do great apart from the corner with the winning goal.

Well that was a shocker, they out passed us last night. Scottish style of play pass it backwards so that either centre back oe keeper punts it up the park and we lose possession again. The final ball last night was atrocious, it was either over the bar or nearly a throw in. Their number 15 Hasler(?) he was a lucky lucky boy. He proceeds to assault Hutton, then when he gets brushed by one of our defenders a couple of minutes later he goes down like a fairy. If there is any sense UEFA should look at that but the ref won't put it in the match report imo. I wasn't surprised Hutton started acting like the angry man after that cause it was a shocker. A win is a win but that was truely pathetic performance.

I'm hoping for a sell out but maybe 40,000 would be a good number. I want to see Boyd and Miller up top with McFadden out wide. Probably means McCulloch and Robson out. Boyd should thrive in this sort of match seeing as it is a small nation...

It was like their reserve commentators, John Robertson imo was absolutely clueless in what he was saying and Liam McLeod well he is crap, Paul Mitchell isn't better either. Andy Webster was the best pundit ;p

Well its Nike that own Umbro I believe, but the strips are really plain, no real feature to the strips and quality of the product not great.

Should have played 4-4-2 at some point rather than be negative. Miller was isolated big style in the second half. Overall performance not good enough, ref was pretty poor as well that ex-Hearts cheat should have been booked he gave away about 10 fouls and did dive in the box as well. Robson was pish, Brown headless chicken and a moaning git lucky to get away with his fouls really. Fletcher his usual for Scotland, not turning up. I'm not having a go at non Rangers players but those 3 did not impress me, infact most of the team didn't, but those were standouts. My dad was like where is Fletcher after half an hour and then he was raking a throw in.

Is it another free ESPN weekend? I liked it when they did this earlier in the year, apart from St Mirren vs Motherwell, could not watch that. I enjoy the Bundesliga so get to watch that again . Although I am considering subscribing to ESPN now that SSN is gone .

He might score a few, Austrian League challengers, when he was playing for EPL minnows, a big difference in goals I think.

I agree with calscot, no matter happens its really a lose lose situation. We aren't going to praise for being well behaved and if there is a tiny instance of unrest then we will get slammed.

The ego's in their squad makes me less than worried, buying 11 players and trying to keep 25 supposed first team players happy, it will never work. Just like Man City but they have a whole lot of quality players rather than position fillers. I feel our squad might be a player or 2 short but we have the edge as stated in the opening post, McGregor, Bougherra, Davis and Miller are the best players in their position in the league and if they stay fit then we will be onto a winner. If Jelavic also proves his worth then it would be good to get another great strike partnership together. I do fear that Beattie will be a hard player to deal with if he isn't playing.

AC Milan are looking quite good this season, Robinho and Ibrahimovic up top could compliment each other well. Plus there is Pato and Ronaldinho there. At least they aren't looking to sign over 30 year olds, but their keeper situation is still rubbish iirc. Gyan is a good signing, I heard the fee is between �£12m-�£14m .

Agreed about your second point. Although Novo and Beattie are different I would have liked Novo, why we offer Beattie a 2 year contract with an option of another year, plus we used some of our money for Beattie. We only offered Novo one year when he is a year younger, I'll never know. Smith probably too injury prone but we still persist with Webster who is a lot more injury prone, with us.
