  1. There are those on here who would agree substantially with your assessment and I am one of them.
  2. Not sure why I have to answer for Rangers auditors but I would take the same view as BD, namely that it's an internal book figure and of no significant relevance to the overall financial situation of the Club.
  3. That's not how I read "a move would actually be a positive outcome." And I reiterate that if the majority of fans start to go game to game then the dynamic of all types of seat sales will be quite different and the queues on match days will be horrendous.
  4. That's something I've pointed out before, since the RST appear to have invested all or most of the money they had up to the second tranche they bought in Feb, unless they have a vast number paying monthly, they will not have anyhting like the £100,000 or so they will need to take up their rights.
  5. £27.99 for that coral/pink ladies one; to be fair they've got it in blue as well and it's not quite as bad. http://www.rangersmegastore.com/ladies-and-girls And don't leave home this summer without your Rangers essentials including the sophisticated trolley case in three different sizes and the handy Rangers FC Bottle Opener Sunglasses. http://www.rangersmegastore.com/Rangers-Summer-Collection
  6. A beautiful choice, Andy. Gram Parsons killed himself through drugs at age 26, in 1973. Fortunately the angel voiced and now silver haired Emmylou is still going strong. [/img] Try this with two of the original Hot Band, the aforementioned Albert Lee and Grammy Award-winning singer song-writer Rodney Crowell, listen out for Emmylou's comment at the end. 7. If that was the plan then it has worked like a charm because the price is now just below 28p, adding £3m to the market cap of the company in the last couple of days.
  8. That's all just supposition on your part. Firstly if the vast majority of people start to buy their tickets game by game then you won't be able to get through on the phone and you certainly won't won't be able to stroll up and get a ticket because there will be long queues at the ticket office on match days. There have been occasions in the past when the queue stretched all the way down to Edmiston Drive and folks didn't get in until half-time because there were insufficient staff. Trying to buy a ticket outside is a pure lottery and I speak as someone who has both bought and sold tickets outside the ground on numerous occasions. You can never predict which games there will be tickets for and which there won't. Often there have been tickets for "big" matches and no tickets for what appeared to be less attractive fixtures. When buying a ticket outside you may well find yourself sitting beside folks who you would rather not sit beside; that was one of the the main reasons why I started to buy a season ticket about 15 years ago. You have no idea what seats might be available at the ticket office either game by game or to buy a season ticket later on. For one thing just about anyone with any sense who isn't 100% happy with their seat right now and who buys an ST will put in for a transfer, so all the best seats will be taken. Maybe you should apply for a job in the ticket office so that you can help out, because they sure will need all the help they can get in there.
  9. Quite so; good luck in the exams but remember your brain needs a sleep too.
  10. Great minds and all that STB, you must have posted that as I was writing mine; nice to it's keeping someone else awake at night!
  11. I think you have made a fair assessment of some but not all of the risks, a new insolvency event being the most important that springs to mind. Unless that is what you were meaning by your crumbling castle analogy. I do not see the castle crumbling though I accept that is is under considerable threat. Ordinarilly those who lay siege to the castle would succeed but do they have the firepower and will reninforcements arrive in time? I am sure you will excuse those of us who prefer not to twist and remain inside the castle, if you'll pardon the mixed metaphors.
  12. Maybe we should start a Gersnet C&W Club!
  13. I did say a "proper" membership scheme; but that's enough for one night!
  14. I should have added that I was quite prepared to take that chance. Everyone who bought a "bond" seat knew it was a free, non-repayable, unsecured loan to the club and they also knew or ought to have known that as such they could lose their money.
  15. Where in the Q&A's or the T&C's of Ibrox 1972 Ltd does it say that if you pledge your money to that company Mr King will invest anything, never mind £50m in Rangers?
  16. They're not the ones running to the papers every five minutes and telling fans not to buy ST's or club merchandise (though looking at the new line on another thread here that's perhaps understandable).
  17. I think what you mean is that YOU (and others) can't trust or perhaps don't want to trust the people in charge. It's easy with the benefit of hindsight but just because the current Board have made mistakes and YOU and others don't trust them doesn't mean "we" i.e. others can't trust them to do their best. I do believe that the mistakes of the past will have a bearing on how this Board performs; I will be putting my money where my loyalty stands and I will be prepared to put more money if I can upgrade my seat from those who don't choose to by a ST before the deadline. Who knows I might even get to sit in the comfy seats beside BD. Not only that but if the Club started a "proper" membership scheme where I had to make a significant financial commitment to secure my seat for future years (as with the Club Deck) then I would give them that too; because it is my Club, my Rangers family, the Club that has given me great pleasure to follow for 57 years and in 21 countries and which I hope to follow for many years to come.
  18. Thanks for that; saw Willie time before last and proud to say got to shake his hand.
  19. A fair analysis, and absolutely the right decision; your Club needs you now more than ever.
  20. andy steel;486580] Nice stuff, much better than the football. Check out Tompall & Co on the old Hank Williams, Mansion on the Hill, can't find a "live" version but this from an album in my collection But if it's bluegrass then apart from spraying the hallowed turf, I'd go for Jim and Jesse the Virginia Boys or perhaps better one of my youtube favourites Emmylou Harris and one half of the Louvin Bros, Charlie Louvin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLQu5Vidl6o&feature=player_detailpage
