    Sorry, don't follow you on that. A loan can be secured i.e. with a legal charge against property or other assets (think Ticketus, apparently secured on season tickets) or unsecured i.e. without any legal charge over property or other assets. I think you are referring to the interest being , which many would agree with, but is not a case of being secured or unsecured. BTW I don't know the details of the loan, I am just assuming it was unsecured because of the extraordinarily high interest rate.

    If Brian Stockbridge (and anyone else) who took a bonus for us winning the 3rd Division had any grace or judgement he would hand back his bonus. It would be a smart thing to do right now in his position. In fact it is something that the SOS should consider campaigning for because it is much more likely to succeed at this point in time than "scrap the board".

    With that belly and rapidly receding hairline? Seriously, you're probably correct; but as for Durrant and McDowall, well McDowall maybe somewhere but Durrant?

    It may well be that one reason for a delay with the accounts is that the auditors want to qualify them in one way or another, perhaps even question the going concern basis (ring any bells) and the Board are arguing with them.

    Quite so; and far better to take a pay cut ahead of publication than after the event i.e. be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

    I'm told the choice he had, was take a pay cut or take a hike.

    No doubt the directors will say that they had an urgent requirement for cash and Zeus was the only souce available to them for an unsecured loan; but they would have to be able to prove that or they could be held liable.

    Note Brahim Hemdani stayed and went on to anchor our team, with said Ferguson, to the UEFA Cup Final. (Other heroes like Alexander/McGregor, Cuellar, Davis, Whittaker and the incomparable Jean-Claude Darcheville, omitted only as not essential to the story!)

    You are absolutely right, it is NOT sustainable; but Doncaster has his head buried in the sand. He believes that the decline in attendances is due to economic conditions and does not accept that actually it is due to boredom on the part of the fans at seeing their favourites (in whatever division) playing each other 4 times a year; poor quality football, treating fans as cannon fodder, lack of competition etc; and refused to countenance a raft of propsoals for change put forward in The Fans Plan, when I was Chair of SDS and subsequently FansFirst Scotland. Hearts have gone to the wall, Dunfermline have gone to the wall, as another poster suggested Kilmarnock will almost certainly be next. Full time foootball in this country, outside the massive support of Rangers and Celtic, is not sustainable on part time crowds and paltry TV money that forces Rangers to play Dunfermline at home at 5.30pm on a Saturday night and worse still go to Arbroath on a Monday night. And by the way, if there's one thing worse than going to watch football in Arbroath on a Monday night, it's refereeing a reserve game there on a Friday night as once was my great misfortune.

    A great point, I'm sure that his article was only tongue in cheek up to a point, like me I'm sure he genuinely believes that women's football is p*** and perhaps his article was just a tad OTT; but getting taken off the air for it, either temporarailly or worse still permanently, would be bang out of order.

    That's not quite the same thing, of course, the primary intention is to make the kids the adult paying customers of the future. But you're right, of course, it tends not to work; Stanraer and other lower division teams have been trying it for years in various guises and literally they can't give the tickets away.

    I agree with Tam; I watched a bit of the game and it was absolute P***.

    However, speaking about ex-players/employees was surprised to see that non-playing squad members get a seat in the Directors Box whereas Gordon Durie wasn't even in the posh seats.
