I'll bow to your knowledge of the ownership but I find it very difficult to believe that Rangers own the public footpath outside the stadium, any more than I own the bit of pavement outside my house. The Police may effectively grant them sole use of the section outside the main door for example on match days but that's quite another matter.

BBC Scotland unlikely to challenge Trust RFC verdict
BrahimHemdani replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes, Franky, it would suprise me, if they did. Quite apart from anything else (such as the credibility of a minor outpost of the BBC seeking to review a decision made way above their level by people with seemingly no axe to grind) almost certainly they could not sanction such expenditure on their own even if they had the funds to do it, which is doubtful. A judicial review (as the answers to the questions reveal) is such a major step that I am sure it would require approval of the main BBC Board and for the main Board to seek a judical review of a Trust decision would have all sorts of ramifications; so it is inconceivable to my mind that it would be allowed to proceed over what the Board would see as a little local skirmish. Even if it did proceed, I am sure that their Lordships would say the judical equivalent of go away and behave yourselves- 10 replies

No. I would suggest that we concentrate complaints on serious abuses; otherwise we will just be seen as serial complainers and none will be taken seriously.- 10 replies

Whilst I don't know who said what about whom, and if this is simply a case of the Club spending money or rather causing public money to spent to silence a legitimate critic then I agree that that is out of order; isn't this a bit like the pot calling the kettle black? Doesn't FF have a long record of banning individuals and deleting comments that it considers critical of its point of view and those of its supporters?

Leggat - THE BLUE PITCH AND MARGARITA MYSTERY CONTINUES
BrahimHemdani replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
This is yet another article of no substance whatsoever from Leggat. He might as well have written one line saying - "I don't know who's behind BPH and Margarita Trust". There is no evidence, at least none that he has adduced in this article, to substantiate his claim that "a substantial profit is not the motive for the Blue Pitch Holding and Margarita investment". It may well be that Green convinced them (and others such as Artemis) that there was indeed good reason to think that a substantial profit could be made in a relatively short period of time (3-5 years). They are under no obligation, moral or otherwise to reveal the names of their investors, so why should they; just because we want to know. I am not taking sides here, I'd like to know the identity of all major shareholders in Rangers, all I am saying is that the fact that they don't want to reveal themselves doesn't make them bad guys any more than Frank Blin not wanting to say why he stepped down, makes him a bad guy. And of course, the requsitionists may have satisfied the Board's demands but they haven't publicly revealed the benefical owners of their shares either; so are they bad guys too? BTW rather than looking a long way back to the thread about the Murray letter to the SFA, since the SFA have been mentioned here, I did put that to Stewart Regan and he did reply after he came back from holiday to say that "We have chosen not to engage with the anonymous person involved in this Twitter account. We are unsure as to whether information accessed and published has been done so legally. I am not prepared to comment on the content or authenticity of the material." (If the admins can find the relevant thread and resart it or add that comment, if appropriate, that's fine by me.) However, based on what he said in response that matter I think you can take it that the SFA will not reveal any information that they are not obliged to reveal and frankly it's a ludicrous suggestion by Leggat in any event. The SFA know only to well that they screwed up the Whyte situation and my feeling is that the less they have to do with the machinations of the Rangers Boardroom the better from their point of view. I am quite sure they are shitting themselves at the prospect of Sandy Easdale being appointed a plc Board director.- 8 replies

Spivs, respect and necessary change in the online Rangers community.
BrahimHemdani replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
A well balanced and thoughtful piece Zappa; but unfortunately it's instructive that after 3 hours it has not drawn any substantive comment one way or the other. Hopefully it will be picked up and acted on by other message boards.- 39 replies

Special Procurator Fiscals were established to deal with cases arising under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012, so it might worth writing to ask for an explanation, although they may well decline to comment. Threatening Communications This offence includes threats of serious harm and criminalises threats inciting religious hatred. It covers: threats of serious harm intended to cause fear and alarm, or reckless as to whether it does; implied threats (e.g. bullets or images depicting serious harm) threats intended to incite religious hatred. Maximum penalty of an unlimited fine and 5 years in prison.

This is extremely disappointing. You are right to question the fact that they should be able to trace who posted the comments from the IP addresses of the computers and it is stretching things too far to suggest that the moron's acount was hacked into on numerous occasions. They should prosecute if they eveidence of any postings from his computer and leave him to prove that it wasn't him. However, from my knowledge of the Focus group, I do not believe they are biased; but they are hampered by the lack of clarity in the OBA and unwillingness on the part of the Procurator Fiscals to risk high publicity defeats in the courts.

Rangers should play in all the competitions for which we are eligible and take our chnaces to match ourselves against the best the other clubs can offer. QoS pushed us all the way in the Final, no reason why we can't go one better with the team we have this season.

Sunderland Waste No Time - Di Canio SACKED!
BrahimHemdani replied to 54andcounting's topic in General Football Chat
Di Canio is a self-confessed fascist ("I am a fascist, not a racist") who assaulted a referee when he was with Sheffield Wednesday and should never have been employed as a manager in British football. -

Paul Murray - ''Tell me who really owns Rangers?
BrahimHemdani replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Perhaps the requisitionsists should start the ball rolling by publishing the beneficial owners of all their shares, I am sure that the Daily Record would be happy to print the list; then they might be able to shame the Board into a position where they do the same themselves and prevail upon their backers to do likewise.- 49 replies
