  1. I'm was surprised when Liverpool signed Kyrgiakos, I'm even more surprised with the Charlie deal......Liverpool will never win the title with those type of players.
  2. ....there were a few games that filled me with dejection when McLeish was in charge, one in particular v Falkirk December 2005. The week before that game we had just went EIGHT games without a win, a RECORD for the club, we were in turmoil, all the fans wanted was a win ffs. ...onto that Falkirk game, we were 2 up with about 20 mins to go, and the Bairns hit 2 goals to snatch a draw....9 in a row. We ultimately went 10 without a win, a record that probably wont EVER be matched. The fans simply hated him at that time, and wanted him sacked with immediate effect....but SDM decided to wait. We had to wait until 2008 until we won our next trophy, dark days indeed.
  3. .........and you know the next question......is the answer - Kaunas?
  4. I wouldn't hold my breath for Davis...wasn't it around this time last year that he said he craved the Premiership? A half decent offer, and he'll be off!
  5. 'Bomber' Brown, it's hard to believe, but he was NEVER capped for Scotland.
  6. Is Papac injured? Is that why our most consistent player is missing from your line-up?
  7. Hmmm, wonder who we will sign for the number 9 shirt?
  8. ....they had a battle with stewards at the Jambos game in May, but nothing was mentioned by the beeb then...no change there.
  9. The first of many, does this mean the deal is done?...... http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/editor-s-picks/gordon-smith-ortiz-will-be-the-first-of-many-1.1110359
  10. Hopefully mate...got to admit the Bheasts have in Kris Commons what we dont, by the looks of that strike, maybe we will have that now.
  11. Rangers are playing Stirling Albion Tuesday 12th July with a 7.45pm kick off, in a testimonial match, Director of Football Gordon Smith has urged Gers fans to turn up, there will be as strong a Rangers team as possible on show Prices are £10 for adults, £5 for OAPs and Students, and £2 for Under 17s.
  12. Thanks Zappa - I'll start checking the sticky thread section in future when looking for info, cheers mate.
  13. Dont know if there is another thread on here.......but anyone know anything about this Spanish 'utility player' Rangers are holding talks with?
  14. McGregor, Whittaker, now talk of Davis on lengthy contracts? What a wind of change blowing through 'The Temple of Dreams' Wonder who'll be next?
  15. Hear, Hear, Frankie! That's the most important thing for all Gers supporters.
  16. Yeah, I'd give him pelters too!!!!! What's he doing on 'another forum' ....seriously though, McGregor is the best keeper I've seen at Ibrox, since Klos, Goram, Woods, come to think of it - we ALWAYS have great keepers. I've just watched THAT penalty save against Sambo and maybe because I was busy cracking up about the award in the first place I missed Gregsy's mind games about the ball not being on the spot....I said at the time, that save might just win us 3iar.........watch it again lads. http://youtu.be/cP02WKzKlSk
  17. 6 year deal? Wow! Just hope he keeps the nut screwed on, and doesn't f#@k up.
  18. Whosthedado. This has got absolutely nothing to do with this post, so apologies in advance, but I couldn't resist this Is your Avatar YOU? If so any chance of a meet?
  19. Yeah, strange one - that's what the Bheasts have been doing for the past 3 years - and what have they won?
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Gers not cool their interest in him during the January window, after the alleged rape hit the headlines, basically forcing him to sign the new contract
  21. According to the Scottish Daily Mail, Cardiff have offered £2M for Goodwillie - seems now Gers will have to match that figure if they want him.
  22. No-one will compare to Coisty unless they reach 355 goals for Gers.
  23. Craig Brown is a 'plonker' - he's trying to gain credibility with the sheeps fans by making out Nacho wanted to come but he wont allow it, what a fanny.
  24. Rangers continue to plug away to try and bring players into the club but who should we make our top priority? Lee Wallace, Hearts The five times capped Scotland player would make a good edition to the squad. He's young and more importantly he's Scottish. Is he worth more than £1 million or are Hearts pushing their luck? David Goodwillie, Dundee United I've been keen on Goodwillie coming to Rangers for a long time but with Nikica Jelavic banging in the goals, Kyle Lafferty finding goalscoring form and David Healy signed up. Should we be thinking about spending our transfer kitty elsewhere? Carlos Cuellar, Aston Villa Had a great season with Rangers before moving to Aston Villa in an £8 million deal. Rangers have signed David Weir up for another year but he may need a new defensive partner. Culler may be out of our price range though. So who would you make your priority?
  25. Hearts have rejected a bid of around £1 million from Rangers for left-back Lee Wallace. Ally McCoist may now give up on the player and turn his attentions elsewhere. Rangers are really struggling to secure new players with bids being rejected and players opting to go to other clubs. They are also in danger of losing Steven Whittaker who rejected the latest contract offer, although did get David Healy signed up on a new deal. Rangers have also had bids rejected for Carlos Cuellar and David Goodwillie so far this season. They also lost out on Neil Danns and Craig Conway. Looks like we are going to have to dig deeper.
