Havent even looked at the coupon yet. Will get onto it right away. Good luck with that Juff

And how many at Fir Park!! Its getting laughable, Sunday league games have probebly been called off less this season.
-
Id go the opposite, West Ham HAVE to win today and I think they will.
-
Arsenal v Middlesboro: Boro are the only team to beat Arsenal in the league this season but I dont see a repeat here. Boro are on a decent run of form in the league but 2 defeats in a row see's them right back in the thick of it. Arsenal dropped 2 points on Wigans field last weekend so will be eager to win today and hope Derby do mission impossible against Man Utd. Home win Derby v Man Utd: Will Derby ever get another win this season and will it come against the champions? The odds are the longest ever for a Premier League home team - 14/1. Paul Jewell continues to slam his team in public which does no good at all. Man Utd will be happy with this game and should pick up an easy 3 points with the chance of resting a few players if they wish. Away win. Liverpool v Reading: Liverpool have finally kick started there season but its too late in the league. Its no coincidence that there last few wins have came when Rafa has not rotated and has played his best players. Reading have had back to back wins for the first time this year giving them some real hope of staying up. This trip is too difficult for them though and should be an easy home win. Portsmouth v Aston Villa: Cracking game in store with 2 attacking teams going for europe. Villa may think the final Champions League place is just beyond them now but they will still give it everything. Pompey are favourites for the FA cup now they are the only BPL side left in the competition and are still chasing a top 6 place. I cant split these 2. Draw Sunderland v Chelsea: Sunderland are relying on home form to keep them up but they lost last time out against Everton and now they face a stiffer test. Roy Keane's men are going to be in the relegation fight up until the end. Chelsea are still plucking away and winning games. They are right back in the title hunt following recent results. They gave Derby a backlashing in midweek following there cup exit at Barnsley and Sunderland may get a bit of the same. Away Win. West Ham v Blackburn: The bookies are offering 100/1 on Blackburn being the 4th consecutive team to beat West Ham 4-0. The Hammers have got to end this terrible run of conceding 12 goals in that time with no reply. They looks well short of confidence in games and dont look like a team who can play together at the moment. The defence is a worry. Curbishley has to get a result here or he may be looking for another job. Mark Hughes men have a terrible record in East London and have not won since 1994. They are still chasing a european spot but a draw with Fulham last week was a hit on the tail. Tough one to predict but: Home Win. Sunday: Fulham v Everton: Fulham got a last gasp equalizer at Blackburn last week and they will hope it can kick start there survival bid. A win this weekend with results going there way would give them a chance. Everton had 120 mins on Wednesday night then went out the UEFA cup on penalties to Fiorentina. It will be interesting to see how they respond. They know they are still chasing 4th spot and its still well in there hands. However they may be playing catch up after this weekend. Draw Man City v Spurs: The home side are really struggling at the moment after a terrific start to the season. They are missing key players such as Richards and Petrov. Spurs bar last week against West Ham have had a poor run since winning the carling cup. They were thumped at Birmingham and went out the UEFA cup to PSV. Tough one to call. Draw Wigan v Bolton: I never thought id say this would be an interesting game to watch but I will be taking this game in on Sunday. It should be a roasting lancashire derby with both clubs fighting for survival. Wigan are 5 places above there rivals but they would be level on points if Bolton won. Bolton are struggling to score at the moment since Anelka left for Chelsea. This couls be one of the games that keeps Wigan in the league. Home Win. Monday: Birmingham v Newcastle: Arguably we have to wait until Monday night for the match of the weekend. If other results go against these teams we could go into this one with these teams 3rd and 4th bottom. Newcastle cant buy a goal never mind a point at the moment. Every outfield player looks lost and Keegan is struggling big time. Birmingham have had some good draws against Arsenal and Spurs recently but still find themselves in deep trouble. Again hard to predict but Im going to stick my neck out and say Keegan will get his first 3 points in this spell in the North East. Away Win.

Motherwell v Celtic - Draw Aberdeen v Gretna - Home Win Hibs v Kilmarnock - Home Win Inverness v Falkirk - Home Win St Mirren v Hearts - Away Win League cup final: Rangers v Dundee Utd - Rangers 2-0 Just typed that before looking at Pete's, so i agree with Pete
-
Aye....Buffel comes to mind
-
Is the final at Old Trafford or Eastlands? Hopefullt OT so we could get another 20,000 in
-
I want this game to go ahead. Motherwell need to pick something up to keep going for 3rd place and with the pitch in poor condition and Celtic struggling at the moment for form there is a good chance Motherwell could get a point. The undersoil heating should be on since friday to dry it out and make sure it goes ahead.

Shall we put in him the the thread of "managers who shouldnt be"???
-
But why reduce a point tally. Surely there has to be a better way than that. These points have been earned when Gretna were afloat and part of the league. Part of winning the league is to be better against other teams than your nearest rivals. Due to taking our points off that were earned against Gretna this gives Celtic an advantage of being all square with us and could end up having an off day against Hibs (our game in hand). Celtic will already have had a psychological blow by drawing against Utd, this picks them up again and puts pressure on us again to get our lead back.
-
Great stuff Mike - thanks for that. Its back to the scratching of heads who WS will pick and i bet he doesnt have a clue himself right now. Upfront is a tough one due unless Darcheville makes it. Novo was silly last week, i bet he is gutted. If Burke and JCD make it then I'd go with: __________________McGregor___________________ Broadfoot______Weir________Cuellar________Papac _________Davis_____Ferguson_____Hemdani_______ _____Burke___________JCD____________McCulloch__

Its a good draw for the quarters but im not sure about it being such a good draw in the semis should we overcome Sporting. Fiorentina just put Everton out who are a very solid team and flying high in the BPL. PSV just put Spurs out and are top of the Dutch league. Obviously our man in the Netherlands will let us know about PSV if we need to eh Pete!
-
I dont think the word dropped is correct actually. I think BF should be rested.
-
What a cracking tie Arsenal v Liverpool will be. Roma will want a bit of revenge on Man U. What odds on a Chelsea v Liverpool semi again though!! EDIT: Interesting, just read that Arsenal meet Liverpool in the league in between the 2 CL legs.
-
Its an example that best players can get a rest now and then to keep them fresh for upcoming multiple matches. IMO burn out is one of the main reasons for Fergusons poor form
-
Yeah agreed, but its safe to say he is the most improved player at the club this season (after Hutton if you include him). He has went from an average run of the mill keeper to showing some great quality saves. He is certainly on the right track. And id add he should be Scotlands No.1 on merit at the moment for the match v Croatia..
-
Just saw the save on the news - that was unbelievable - its one of them where its a cert of a goal but not. Heard his interview aswell saying WB were one of the favourites and we put them out so he doesnt care who we get
-
Yip this is a good point, Rooney and Ronaldo get left out for the odd game and they are saved for the big ones - and it pays off they never seem to have a dip in form. This is what i want with Ferguson, if he sits out a game or 2 then he will see benefits from him. In the past we havent had great options to replace him but at the moment we have Hemdani, Thomson (who will be chappin at the bit to play), Davis, Dailly and even Faye and Buffel - who are still getting paid wages.
-
I wish he would shut his trap, he isnt helping the players cause by telling them there are shite. He keeps saying his team are embarrassing which is poor management. Just accept it!! He knew what he was getting into when he took the job so if he cant just accept it and try to improve the team then he should buggar off. He does my head in.
-
I hate that! Cant they just draw one round at a time.
-
I'll have a wee tenner on that. I wonder if there are any Rangers specials at the bookies. Beattie any prices on doubles, trebles etc???

What time is the draw??
-
Nobody is on a bandwagon to get someone out of the team but we are all still allowed an option on this different matter and some agree BF should be benched for a game or - for his own good if anything. For me and Pete this has been an issue for years that Ferguson gets picked no matter what.

....do something historic this season?? Firstly, credit has to go to Walter Smith, Ally McCoist and the baldy one (KM) for what they have done to Rangers in the last 14 months. They have turned arguably the worst Rangers team in 20 years round into the frontmen in Scotland again and pushed us into the last 8 of europe. Yes it has not been pretty in certain games but recently the moaning has stopped about performances due to the progression the team in making in the competitons we are in. Thats what it is all about from March onwards - winning football matches. We are coming into the business end of the season with finishing lines in sight and still in a wonderful position. Our Green friends from the other side of Glasgow along with a few of the so called "balanced 4th estate" must really be beginning to panic with what we could achieve this season. However there is still a lot of football to be played and as good as getting to the last 8 of the UEFA cup feels we have to come back down to earth as we have not won anything yet. We still have 3 old firm derbies to play which will no doubt decide if the league flag comes back to home to Ibrox. We are in pole position for these games with the next meeting to be played at Ibrox. We also currently have advantage of 3 point lead with 1 game in hand, thus depending on the farcical situation of Gretna. All attentions can be turned to the league cup final on Sunday where we need the lads to produce yet another solid defensive display and do enough in Dundee Utd's half to take the first trophy home. The Scottish cup will come around again and with all due respect to Partick Thistle we should be looking forward to facing either St Johnstone or St Mirren for another date at Hampden. That leaves the UEFA cup. We fear no team in the here. Bayern are the favourties but we'll see what the draw brings us. One game at a time is what is required at the moment and who knows what we will be celebrating in 2 months time.

Sign Davis It feels good to be flying the British flag in the compeition even though its not the CL. But this can only be good for us and prepare us better for the CL next season. I bet Cousin is feeling glad his move to Fulham fell through aswell now. WS has done a superb job.
