PS - Ferguson has been very poor / average of late and a rest would have done no harm. I agree with Ascender and Mike that if he is guaranteed a start then it leads to players getting lazy. But there is a correct time to rest Ferguson and that would have beenlast Sunday. I know he is capable of turning a game for us and he is due a good game so id have rested him on Sunday with a big game against Hearts coming up.

Nobody continually wants unproved players to be played, but some of us want them to get a CHANCE especially when others are struggling. You've said it yourself above we are in 4 competitions so our squad should be used a lot better and first team picks should get a rest so there form doesnt dip. Why was it a disater for us last time - because players were played out of position. I dont like to use Celtic as an example but MON get the best out of 3-5-2. Anyway Im all for 4-4-2 if we have the correct players aswell. Precisely - And why is that? Maybe becuase its those who I mention as playing poor continually still being in the team. Maybe of others were given a chance we may have had silverware in the past 2 seasons and not went thorugh out worst patch in some of our lifetimes. Is anyone happy with it week in week out? WS would rightly trounce my football management skills due to experience at the real thing. But Im not alone in saying I dont know what he see's in Adam and i wouldnt be playing him right now - thats one decision id be better than WS right now.

Nonsense IMO So just because someone is first choice means they should play whatever? Thats why there is such a split on Ferguson as it is, because a lot of fans know how inconsistant he is. If a player knows he is guarenteed to be picked then whats the point in him even training during the week? And if 3rd pick isnt doing the business he should continue ahead of those untried who may do better (Gow).

Agree with Craig, Papac isnt a RB. He doesnt deserve to be dropped even though it is the promising Steven Smith coming back. Papac has been one of our better performers in recent weeks. If your going to move him then play him in the middle with Cuellar. If he gets dropped but the likes of Adam and Ferguson dont then thats double standards. Those 2 have been rotten and poor respectively recently.

Its all about getting through to the person in a way which they will wake up and help themselves. Gazza is a boy trapped in a mans body and he needs to realise that and the fact about his upbringing. Once he does then he will come round with the right help. Eventually once he gets better he can prove to people he will be an asset at a football club - which no doubt he would be when in the right framw of mind. He still wants to get out and have a laugh which there is nothing wrong with but you need to know where to draw a line.

I dont even accept McGeady as being worth 6 million. He is a flash in the pan for me and would get eaten alive down south. He is a bit like Charlie Adam except his tricks are coming off just now. Its going to be close. All of a sudden Middlesboro and Wigan have given themselves a great chance while Newcastle and Reading are in free fall. Derby were gone months ago. We have actually got a huge advantage with the fact the next OF game is at Ibrox again - that will be 2 in a row and a home game obviously gives us an advantage so we could open up a decent lead after that game if we continue winning up to that match.

The squad is going to be tested now. In situations like this having not having a transfer window is silly. We are forced to play a game every few days and we cold easy end up with injuries etc but then we couldnt replace players. April could be pretty much the same if we continue in the cups plus we've another OF game to stick in.

Fair enought mate, but we all know Buffel has talent. WS wouldnt stand for any lazyness and he is desperate to play. He would give us everything IMO and in the correct position. He is by far the most talented player in our squad so should be earning his wheat in the first team. I definatly believe he would blast us to the title.
