  1. Internationals are a bugger, there are only ever abut 4 or 5 games with decent odds. Holland would have cost me at the weekend and they were something stupid like 1/4 I had a quick look and like Super Ally I fancy a bit of Northern Ireland and Portugal. NI are up for every home game right now and have beat Spain and England. But cant remember if they went and lost a stupid home game after that (Iceland maybe?). Sweden are a decent side NI will get something from the game.
  2. Stand free wherever you may be Roman's bought the referee's Lampards fat, fatter than me You've only been fans since 2003
  3. Superb, its worth a trip across for that. Ibrox or Stamford Bridge??
  4. Really?? I forgot he exsisted. Ian, I was hoping you didnt add the same last sentance as said in the Gio post
  5. I didnt think he was 32, i thought maybe 29 or 30 at most. Id love him to return aswell but couldnt see it but C'mon Walter, make an offer. Imagine Gio and Rino in the midfield next season with Ferguson and Hemdani!!!!
  6. Yeah, from a Rangers point of view Hemdani has been the most consistant. Ferguson and Hutton have stood out when they have been MOTM recently but they both had poor starts.
  7. Lighthouse Family - Lifted Reminds me of 9IAR, is on one of my videos
  8. Reading earlier about Lampard and Gerrard not being able to play in the same team again. This is utter nonsense, all thats needed is common sense. Play them in there positions with the right formation and they would get it right. I bet Sir Alex, Wenger and Mourinho would be able to do it no problem. But Lampard isnt performing at all for England anyway. And now Rooney is supposed to have had a row woth McClaren. IMO Rooney shouldnt play as an out and out striker. He plays off the front man at Man U and should be doing the same for England and given a licence to do what he wants.
  9. I dont agree with going 4-4-2 and just having a go. If it was a one off game then yes. We need to look at the bigger picture in the group as its a marathon and not a sprint. A point in Italy gives us a cusion over them and we just got to worry about Ukraine and France after that. I would go 4-5-1 but be attack minded. Id get 3 in the centre midfield running and going for every ball and hope to nick something on the break. This is why id maybe opt for Burke on the wing to try and break away.
  10. Look at him referring to Scotland as "they" and not "us"- what an absolute joker.
  11. Naysmith is a player ive said id have at Ibrox for years. Stevie Smith could be the long term solution but Naysmith may help him on his way. I dont think Murray is good enough, he hasnt shown enough in the last few games. I dont think he is the same player since his illness and he looks a but weak.
  12. They certainly play players out of position, they have done that for too long and its why they dont play good football or win so much games. I dont think the point about players playing at top european clubs holds much weight as the EPL teams are top euro clubs as it is. Man U Liverpool and Chelsea are all up there with Barca, Real, AC, Inter, Juve, Bayern etc
  13. Kinda get it now if Georgia beat Uruguay
  14. Smart ass What i actually meant was we stated singing "Rangers are the champions" before anyone else in the UK used the song for any other songs like "Stand up if you hate Chelsea" etc
  15. I did Juff, but it said atfter beating Georgia we are UWC again. I also heard this comment on a phone in on saturday.
  16. Yeah agreed and if we play 1 upfront Boyd has proved with us many a time he cant play that role himself. If it was a flat 4-4-2 then yes he could play but I think we need 4 or 5 in midfield, if its 4 then we need a player to play behind a pacey frontman IMO
  17. Can someone explain we beating Georgia made us the unofficial champs again??? I get the 1967 win over England, but why beating Georgia - they have won fook all
  18. Not sure if id bring Dailly in Juff but its a possiblilty as the other option is Severin. but Id play Beattie if it is a 1 man upfront as he has pace and his confidence will be high. Id play: _________________Gordon________________ McNamara____Pressely____Weir_____Naysmith Burke___Brown___Ferguson__Hartley___McCulloch ________________Beattie_________________ Or _______________Gordon_______________ McNamara___Pressley___Weir____Naysmith Brown____Hartley___Ferguson___McCulloch ___________________Maloney__________ _____________Beattie_________________
  19. The trust is the only organisation ive ever heard backing or doing good for the Rangers support. Its certainly not Rangers FC anyway.
  20. Im glad i never had a bet this weekend. Holland drawing at home to Romania and England drawing would have let me down from 9 wins. I should have known better with England but id of bee fooked off with the Dutch.
  21. Pretty impressive goalscoring record. No doubts Walter will be searching high and low for players to go for in the summer. And these are the type id welcome. I wouldnt be a happy bear if Gow, Broadfoot and Mcdonald are our only signings.
  22. The BBC website gossip page said we are looking at Bosco Balaban the Ex Villa striker. Cant remember much about him but he is more appealing than Scott McDonald.
  23. Definatly Pet Shop Boys - Go West I think we were the first to start singing "Rangers are the champions" and it reminds me as far back as 1994 at my first OF game at Hampden when we stuffed Celtic 3-1 - we sang it loud that day.
  24. You have a point, Sky tv does manipulate the viewers but it still is a cracking league and the best in the world IMO as it creates the most interest. I only think Terry, Rio, Gerrard and Rooney are there world class players, after that they are good players. There is no way they want to play us right now coz they know they would get a real game. If they wanted to play us then they would have invited us to open Wembley but they know they risk losing and we would bring enough fans to fill wembley twice. They want to believe they are the best nation in the UK, but right now Northern Ireland and Scotland would give them a real run - after all both teams have beat them last time they played England.
  25. We need to take confidence that Celtic matched AC Milan for 180 mins and we pretty much matched Inter Milan last year. Its an illusion that Italy are all mighty. They didnt over impress at the world cup, i just think they have a mentality to win a tourament every so often and it was there turn last year. They dont really play at pace - something that will suit us. McLeish baffles us against lower opposition (for Rangers) but he seemed to get it right it away big european games so im pretty confident he can get the team right. Beating Georgia was a massive result. We needed at least 3 pts from these games as 2 draws or 1 point would have knocked the stuffing out of us. So we can afford to relax a bit. We dont need to play 5 at the back now but I wouldnt mind us setting our stall out for a draw. After all qualification is the main target and we would all take a point in Bari. Pressley being back is a boost IMO as he always does well for Scotland. We need energy in the midfield to put tackles in and frustrated the Italians. Scott Brown has to play after what ive read from when he came on. I dont know if id go 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 yet as packing the midfield is a must to frustrate them. C'mon the Scots, a boring, dull, shitty 0-0 will suit me
