Yeah agreed and if we play 1 upfront Boyd has proved with us many a time he cant play that role himself. If it was a flat 4-4-2 then yes he could play but I think we need 4 or 5 in midfield, if its 4 then we need a player to play behind a pacey frontman IMO

You have a point, Sky tv does manipulate the viewers but it still is a cracking league and the best in the world IMO as it creates the most interest. I only think Terry, Rio, Gerrard and Rooney are there world class players, after that they are good players. There is no way they want to play us right now coz they know they would get a real game. If they wanted to play us then they would have invited us to open Wembley but they know they risk losing and we would bring enough fans to fill wembley twice. They want to believe they are the best nation in the UK, but right now Northern Ireland and Scotland would give them a real run - after all both teams have beat them last time they played England.

We need to take confidence that Celtic matched AC Milan for 180 mins and we pretty much matched Inter Milan last year. Its an illusion that Italy are all mighty. They didnt over impress at the world cup, i just think they have a mentality to win a tourament every so often and it was there turn last year. They dont really play at pace - something that will suit us. McLeish baffles us against lower opposition (for Rangers) but he seemed to get it right it away big european games so im pretty confident he can get the team right. Beating Georgia was a massive result. We needed at least 3 pts from these games as 2 draws or 1 point would have knocked the stuffing out of us. So we can afford to relax a bit. We dont need to play 5 at the back now but I wouldnt mind us setting our stall out for a draw. After all qualification is the main target and we would all take a point in Bari. Pressley being back is a boost IMO as he always does well for Scotland. We need energy in the midfield to put tackles in and frustrated the Italians. Scott Brown has to play after what ive read from when he came on. I dont know if id go 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 yet as packing the midfield is a must to frustrate them. Yeah we havent nicked a game late on in recent years. Only Billy Dodds strike in a 3-2 win against Estonia at Tynecastle and Richard Gough's famous header in Cyprus in 1989 in the 14th minute of injury time to give us a 3-2 win were our only late winners.

I never saw the game so cant comment on Shota, but I agree with Cammy's point and Im a follower if the national team and had many a debate about it. I listened to that twat Traynors phone in again this morning and there were a few callers just phoning up to have a go at Gers players (and McLeish) and backing Celtic and aberdeen players. Aberdeen fans are the worst, they think Anderson, Severin and Mackie etc should all be in the team and its a Rangers conspiracy that the are not. FFS those 3 are pish bar Anderson on the odd game. There is a huge anti rangers element within the Scottish support.

Nice one Ian, you must have had a pretty good jump when we nicked the win. Good result and we needed that 3 pts ahead of Italy on wed. Not sure on the performance as never saw the game but to have 4 wins out of 5 is still a great start.

Every time i look at the hall of fame at Coop's page I always get a suprise at the amount of Scotland caps he got, he should have had whay much more IMO. In this day and age we have players getting 50 caps for scotland who couldnt lace cooper's boots.

Its a very laughable system and its got out of hand how much a joke it is. The fixtures have fallen kind for us but we could be done with Dundee Utd and Motherwell pulling of shocks in the next 2 weeks to make it interesting. Imagine having to go to Pittodrie on the last day to win the league!!!
