Yeah we havent nicked a game late on in recent years. Only Billy Dodds strike in a 3-2 win against Estonia at Tynecastle and Richard Gough's famous header in Cyprus in 1989 in the 14th minute of injury time to give us a 3-2 win were our only late winners.

I never saw the game so cant comment on Shota, but I agree with Cammy's point and Im a follower if the national team and had many a debate about it. I listened to that twat Traynors phone in again this morning and there were a few callers just phoning up to have a go at Gers players (and McLeish) and backing Celtic and aberdeen players. Aberdeen fans are the worst, they think Anderson, Severin and Mackie etc should all be in the team and its a Rangers conspiracy that the are not. FFS those 3 are pish bar Anderson on the odd game. There is a huge anti rangers element within the Scottish support.

Yeah you just know they will nick it somehow and qualify. But hopefully not. I still think they gotta to go Russia. I dont mind some of the england players but im not a fan of the FA or McLaren. He couldnt pick his nose never mind an team. Why cant he pick a few players on merit and gel a team rather than picking over rated primandonas. Lampard needs dropped, Leighton baynes should have played etc.... But he lays Carragher (who is an awesome centre half) at full back JUST coz he should be in the team. I hope they miss out

Another lacklasture performance from England and they are 5 points off Croatia.
-
Nice one Ian, you must have had a pretty good jump when we nicked the win. Good result and we needed that 3 pts ahead of Italy on wed. Not sure on the performance as never saw the game but to have 4 wins out of 5 is still a great start.

Anyone know of a site or link where I can watch the game for free??

Im surprised that McManus has been given the nod. I dont like the odds at all 4/11 is too generous towards us. I dsay evs would have been about right. I think we will nick it 1-0 with a second half goal. Georgia are a decent side. Anyone know of a live link where i can watch it online?

Every time i look at the hall of fame at Coop's page I always get a suprise at the amount of Scotland caps he got, he should have had whay much more IMO. In this day and age we have players getting 50 caps for scotland who couldnt lace cooper's boots.

One thing il be interested in here is the Spurs fans in Spain - how they act and how they are treated.

The man of reason!!! Most probably find themselves nodding off to his posts with the length of them - Joking Cal, pleasure to have you back.

Give it to me if it is bud, il probably be over in May

And welcome back Calscot

Not strange at all Pete. An earlier post critisised my continued posts about Boyd not being good enough and I said I wasnt the only one. Gav and Cammy are the other outspoken ones of this and Gav was just getting this point across. Confusion sorted

Its a very laughable system and its got out of hand how much a joke it is. The fixtures have fallen kind for us but we could be done with Dundee Utd and Motherwell pulling of shocks in the next 2 weeks to make it interesting. Imagine having to go to Pittodrie on the last day to win the league!!!

What train?? Havent heard that term before, it must be Belgian. Agree with juffery that he has bags of talent and i personally like him but he has suffered from playing out of position. We could be done with him in the last month when WS was playing the 4-5-1.

Scotland are 4/11 with the bookies - that is a very poor price. I wouldnt have thought they would have been lower than 8/11 or 5/6.
-
Of course im kidding, i just threw it in for a laugh to see who would notice It would still be tricky to pick a winner but il go moldova

Quashie definatly out of both games. Tough choice whether to move Hartley in the centre then Burke or Brown wide right or put Brown into the centre. I hope its one of these moves as Brown or Burke are capable but i hope its not Severin or Teale brought into start. When you think of it we have 75% of our first choice midfield out (Quashie, Fletcher, McFadden).

I picked out 9 selections from the coupon today and the return is 328 quid from a tener. Its a long shot but its easy games like France to beat Lithuania etc, il post them up. Im going for it after my 7 fold accummulator came up last week with 7 homes.

Some decent fixtures lined up for the international card for once. Normally it can be pretty boring. Obviously the Scottish takes the most interest. 3 pts would be massive for us as the french have Lithuania away and Ukraine travel to Faroes, while the italians dont play. England travel to Israel and McLaren could be out of a job if they lose, he will survive if they draw but a defeat would be disasterous for him but hilarious for us. But i see them going there and winning easy. The Israel side is made up of Hapoel and Hafia players and we beat both of them this season. Other good games: Rep Ireland v Wales Czech Rep v Germany Spain v Denmark Moldova v Malta

Its certainly different. It will probably look good if your slim and good looking but if your a wee fat old bald guy with a massive beer belly and you cant get it past you waste then it will look terrible

I wonder how many on here are scratching their heads thinking "where's phukkem"

He is still about 4 or 5 years from being ready for the first team. I cant see him being thrown in before he is 18. But 1 for the future Well done on knocking back Chelsea - there shite anyway

Maloney is pretty pacey - not a world beater but he can get around. Ive no idea about Beattie. I wouldnt be downbeat if Boyd started (and i think he will) as I prefer to see Gers players in the team but the midfield HAVE to set service to him if he does. I really hope, no matter what team Eck goes with, its a 4-4-2 and not 1 upfront.
-
Just as I submitted my reply McCulloch came to my head as the 5th striker if need be, and its vice versa with Maloney as he can be left wing. Going into a tournament like the WC there would be an argument for 3 or 4 keepers but not when its 2 games and you can still call up players after the first game if the team did a chelsea and lost 2 keepers in 1 game. Im not getting at McLeish at all here, i actually think the squad is finely balanced and we are covered in every area. And as i said on an earlier post there are still otheres to come into the squad later like Fletcher and McFadden. IMO I just think strating with 2 pacey strikers against the Georgians is the way to go.
