I stand corrected. Wright made half of that in 60 secs ... 👍 -

The Lundstram chance where he was in a better position, or the Tillman one where he again was in a better position to shoot and Tillman forced wide? Kent had three chances to shoot and didn't. That is the difference between him and Sakala, Roofe, Wright, you name them. His end product is not there right now. -

Ah, but Kent is shining right now, isn't he? Every game an influence and all that. Yep. I see that plainly on the park. -

Brutal. Simply brutal. I'm about 45 mins short of giving up on both Kent and Tavernier. -

Our line-up makes it easy for Hearts to snuff most attack play out, and Kent running into dead ends or passing the ball instead of shooting himself (3 times by now) don't help. -

Give us Wright and/or Morelos soonish, at least they will have a pop if there is an opening. -

We're effectively a man down with Kent on the park. All those runs and attempted clips and whatnot ... and no end product.* That passing around our defense is abysmal. If in need, kick to touch at the halfway line. *There is some small hope that the above will trigger a hat-trick from him now. -
The loan we own to Mr Bennet has a set repay date, I assume. Unless I am mistaken, he's one of the Bluenoses amongst those loan-givers who may, if push comes to shove, be more lenient to deal with?

Rangers announce friendly with Bayer Leverkusen during winter break

Is that during the WC break? So their top players might well be away? -
Match Thread [FT] St Johnstone 2 - 1 Rangers (Tavernier 74)
der Berliner replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The problem is that not much can be held against King or even Davies with these goals. King did the easy bit and blasted ball out of the danger area, and preferably into touch. Yet, Tavernier tried to be clever and his attempted long ball ended up right in front of our area with the opposition. Suicide defending par excellence. I have not even watched the second goal back and how it came about, yet the cross once more came in from the right - neat flick by Clark at the end. As I pointed out before, we have an atrocious habit of conceding far too many goals from very few chances that the opposition is allowed. They had 11 shots, 2 on target, and scored twice. We had 29 (as in TWENTY-NINE), 7 on target and scored none, albeit Sakala hit the cross-bar. We had 20 corners compared to their 0. On another day we might have scored 5 or more, but we simply can't let this rotten defending stats continue. -
We have about a dozen players out injured, effectively our full first-pick central defense and quite a few of our best midfielders and strikers ... and some only returned recently and lack sharpness. Yesterday was almost comical in the extreme, as we pounded their goal for the best part of 70 mins with no luck whatsoever, yet they score with the 2 chances they had. IMHO, yesterday was a typical shit-happens game, not so much any indication about our capabilities. In fact, just before the 2nd went in, we made a rather good attacking change, only for our defenders to have the second brain-f@rt of the day.

More rubbish - and no disrespect. Sakala did more in 10 mins than Kent did all game. Hit the crossbar and was a constant threat. Kent should have been hooked pre-game. -

Like he tells his captain to defend properly and the captain doesn't ... and we have no-one who pushes the captain for his place? -

Like he could do any more. Utter bull, IMHO. If people on the park don't do their job properly, why would Gio's head fall? Tav was an utter failure today, his goal can't paper over that. And up front, ill-luck aside, we continue with an attacker that doesn't produce, time and again. -

That's fair enough, but this is no sanatorium. Our maxim is about winning and if people do not produce, others need to introduced. I for one would throw in Morelos straight away. -

Whistles for HT time at 44.59 ... There was a little argument about dominating teams and creating chances will win you games. Today's just another example that you can dominate and create tons of chances, but at the end of the day, goals count. Fun fact: Shots 3-17 On target 1-3 Goals 1-0 Corner 0-12 TBH, our captain's atrocious defending cost us that goal. Rookie King just blasted the ball out of the park, our veteran gave it straight back to the opposition with a tame pass back into play. On another side-note, our left-attacking slot isn't showing up ... again. -

Probably our most brutal first 30 mins of attacking football all season. If only we'd reward ourselves with goals. -
Maybe they simply remove the roof and thus they get a shower every other week for free?
