  1. Fair play rules are fine and well, as long as it is actually fair play. The SFA verdict, e.g. punishes the club and its support for the failings of essentialy one person. Hence one malcontent chap has the potential to ruin 140 years of history. If some measures need to be taken to avoid this at club level and association level, fair enough. But levelling out what comes down to be utterly draconian measures which are far too excessive and go without backing in the rules as well as any precedence ... well.
  2. Am I right in assuming that we will appeal against the embargo?
  3. Just out of interest, has there been any comment about our state of affairs from the likes of St. Johnstone, ICT, or Motherwell?
  4. "Hate" is actually a very strong word, you know? Why not try "dislike", "getting annoyed by", or "being fed up with" ... instead of "hating" people?
  5. Put this into the "Rangers Downloads and videos" - board a few days back
  6. Would that surprise anyone? EDIT: It is about the new fixture list being released on June 8th or the like.
  7. ... might be. Wasn't that clear. With regard to the SPL / EBT decision, I seem to remember that the legal company enlisted for that was one who is also used by our neighbours in ra hoops?
  8. Lamont twittered this morning that a decision on the EBT ... ahem double-contract case from the SPL is expected this afternoon. You wonder how a football body comes up with a clear-cut decision about somesuch within four weeks, while legally trained tax people need half a season. May tell you something about the "intent" of the former, now that the club may actually get away from the doom and gloom of administration ... So I sure expect an utterly unbiased and fair decision.
  9. On a sidenote, I was under the impression that Whyte already got Green's 2 pounds for the shares.
  10. I admire them for having the audacity to compare our brains to that of flatworms time and again. Or maybe not.
  11. Just out of interest, who apart from Whyte would have known about the non-payment of VAT & PAYE? Only those directly involved in any financial dealings ... and those who were told by the latter? But who are these people then?
  12. IMHO, the actual price was just a tip of the iceberg. That Russian (?) chap who got them to increase his share ammount to a relevant level may give him some more stuff "in private" later on.
  13. There sure is class in that Chelsea team, you saw it in sparks. On the day though, much like they did against Barca, they essentially used our tactics of 2007/2008 and primarily focused on "not to lose" goals and games, instead than going for glory up front. Well drilled, well executed. And rest assured, they wil bemoan this "anti-football" again.
  14. There are many unknowns in here and because the press has shown such an unprecedented investigative streak in recent years (when it comes to Rangers), there is reason why a) Green does not want to have the people named, and b) the people don't want to be named. We hardly know what these investors motives are. What we do know is that making money from a football club is usually a non-starter. So while it could very well be that some of them are in here for the most sinister reasons (usually expected from the hysteria-ridden folk) like "asset-stripping", it could also just be for very sentimental reasons like those shown by Kennedy or similar diehard Bluenoses. In the end, we'll have to wait and see.
  15. Promoted by December, smashing the 150 goals tally per season by May. Well ... rest assured, they will manage to whip up a three year running 25-point penalty as we speak, just to make sure. As has been said by another poster, we should get the away games beamed back to Ibrox, charge a minimal fee, and get a membership scheme running. Oh, and we should swap the colours away from home to all black for the season's in the dark.
  16. Looks like the RFF is used primarily for the QC here. Wouldn't mind that, if we drag them through the courts and show them up for what they are. On a sidenote, does anyone doubt that we will get hit by the inquisitors of the SPL too? And, to get this on, does anyone doubt that every inquisition will make a full stop once we are done for? Lafferty's Law and all ...
  17. I assume you refer to post 25? (Quoting would help.) ... so they set 20m aside, get the club back and then sell Ibrox et al for a profit of say ... 5m and split that amongst 6 to 20 people. Makes sense to me.* *Irony intended.
  18. That, though, was 20odd years ago. Different time, different players, different money.
  19. Still wondering why they have a claim from Rangers and possibly pursue it, when they also go after Whyte himself. Just in case they win both cases, will they get their money back twice? (Even though any CVA cash will be much smaller than their deal? I mean, that's double-justice?
  20. I assume you are one of those legal brains in the know about rather complex and multi-million pound deals such as these. Make no mistake here, if we are out of admin by August, this will be one of the shorter administrations in the game of football, and one where the club is not being wound up.
  21. Methinks - while we all have a right to be sceptical - we should try to give him a fair ride here. It is quite obvious why he will not name the investors or said people are not yet* putting cash in. Too many variables are on the table right now. The press does not like this, hence he "fails" to name any other investors. I really, really, really feel for these poor sods of the media here. We have been badly burned by Whyte, but perhaps we should switch from the half-empty glass version to the half-full glass version now. Green looks to be the front man of that consortium, not a leader. So he can't do all that is being done and told out of his own gusto. To me, that is an advantage right now. *We all know how it works. If some ultra-rich sheikh belongs to this group, HMRC et al will not agree to a minimal CVA. Who would?
  22. So Ticketus is out of the running of a CVA and will instead pursue Whyte (or the company that backed the deal) for their cash?
  23. Somesuch will cover much of the losses from any away games and create a solid basis for future investment, on and off the field.
  24. Isn't that more the style of the ICF? But rest assured, many people will share your feelings.
  25. ... the team that can foul twice as much before receiving a card from the referees than any other side in this league. STV story Well done to the SPL!
