  1. To rid ourselves of this agent provocateur I am happy for them to get a better manager. Anyway, their choice is limited. They are so politically motivated now that only "one of theirs" would fit the bill.
  2. Sums up how I've felt for sometime. What we need to do is disrupt so that the share price falls first. Make it unpalatable for Laxey and co to be involved. A first step would be to organise a first half boycott. Preferably a televised game. We would need sympathetic press coverage - or at least a PR facility. In short, this would need to be organised and some form of Action Group formed.
  3. An excellent piece Hildy. Kudos dude. However, to my eyes it reads like a first class summary with a non-evidenced opinion about fan ownership patched on at the end.
  4. Lennon was doing this before he moved things into his office. Following in the steps of Martin the mentor. If you look back, it's certainly worked for them. They even avoided being blamed for the referee strike. You see, most people would prefer to shy away from conflict and will back down to avoid it. That includes authorities. You therefore have mob rule by those who shout loudest. Wouldn't help if we start shouting. Celtic, their fans and the media would shout louder for us not to be given any leeway. Despite the fact we're not even in the same league. I do hope Norwich want this rabble rouser. I'd willingly pay his air fare - one way.
  5. Each to his own, but I didn't like it. Some of the website functionality goes.
  6. Agreed SC. Also a rich one. Who's become even richer via his mendacious association with us.
  7. That'll be everyone at the BBC on anti-depressants again. Did they really have a reporter there? I bet they've got a reporter on the Upper Tax Tribunal too. Is there nothing else happens in Scotland outside of Rangers? Our bloody license fee money they're using too!
  8. I'd like to see a way out of this mess, but I can't. What I see just now is Laxey gathering more and more power and a future of them squeezing us dry for eternity.
  9. Like everyone else, I'm shocked about how gullible I've been. I also had big hoped for Wallace, but I'm not making any excuses for him. If his intention is to lie and go along with shafting us, the gloves are off as far as I'm concerned. We have no friends, no custodians. Just ourselves.
  10. What is most likely happening us is to that with Edmiston and the car park effectively mortgaged, they will think they have us by the short and curlies regarding season ticket boycotts etc. Sooner or later we're going to have to bite the bullet. As Lorenzo Dow said, "Fucked if we do, and fucked if we don't. "
  11. From the BBC website, I note another piece of the jigsaw falling into place. Rangers: Imran Ahmad seeks £750,000 damages from Ibrox club By Alasdair Lamont Senior football reporter, BBC Scotland Lawyers for Rangers' former commercial director Imran Ahmad will on Tuesday ask a judge to arrest funds of £750,000 as their legal battle continues. Ahmad's lawyers will argue that the Rangers Football Club Ltd is trading insolvently and would be unable to pay if he won his claim against them. The man who arrived at Ibrox as part of Charles Green's team initially intended to pursue £3.4m. He claims he is owed at least £500,000 in unpaid bonuses. The case will be heard by Lord Tyre at the Court of Session in Edinburgh on Tuesday morning. It emerged earlier this month that Ahmad's lawyers wished to call Green as a witness, something Rangers are reluctant to see happen. Rangers do not have their financial woes to seek currently and announced on Monday that they had secured loans totalling £1.5m to help them meet cashflow requirements for the remainder of the season. Players also refused to accept a 15% pay cut proposal as the Rangers chief executive Graham Wallace seeks to make savings.
  12. That's a good statement. I would have considered copying in AIM while I was at it. Time to fight back using the same tactics.
  13. Hi Zappa My preview is flying off a scorching keyboard as we speak. What's the preferred method of submitting it - just posting it myself, or would you like to see it first (ie sending by email?) Unlike Frankie's recent effort, there's no sexual innuendo at all. Should be ready in an hour at the very latest.
  14. Why doesn't RFFF offer a much more favourable loan? We could have security on the car park. Can't wait to see Toxic's spin on that one.
  15. I'm with you there dB. A membership scheme administered by the fans would be an excellent way forward. I for one don't see it as constructive for any of the usual suspects from present fan groups etc to be involved. What is needed here is a fresh approach to bring the broad church of fans together under the one umbrella. Waiting for the Club to do this for us is a mistake of epic proportions. But the Club should be asked to be highly supportive.
  16. Hope there's no objections to bringing the thread back a wee bit. In my eyes, a membership scheme where you don't own the membership scheme (and income, talent base and database is pointless. If we don't trust the Board, what the hell is the point in letting the Board run the membership scheme? The point about fan ownership is a moot one. Not all fans are in favour of fan ownership. There tends to be a very high degree of generalisation amongst a lot of fans about what a Rangers fan is. Until that is addressed, we will be divided into camps. We need to learn how to operate democratically and by coalition if we can.
  17. I'm doing Stranraer mate. I'll get it done tomorrow afternoon if that's not too late.
  18. He's an employee and will be expected to support the Board. It might be standard practice for press releases to be written by others, and I'd be surprised if it wasn't. It's certainly normal practice in the public sector. However, one would still expect it to be passed by whoever is being "quoted."
  19. I wonder how much this is Ally speaking and how much the Toxic Jack PR steamroller.
  20. It'll be interesting to see how Toxic reacts to this. That will be the real litmus test. If the rumours of an EGM are true, it'll be December all over again, then we really know the writing's on the wall.
  21. Agreed, but do you think we will hear the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
  22. I gave my number and a new unregistered email address (my Sunday best one). Let's see what the response is. These thing are never perfect science, but if done professionally they can certainly be helpful.
  23. Forlan. The survey asks for your Rangers number. Given the stage we always play on, it's impossible to prevent Timothy trying to upset the apple cart. However, it seemed pretty comprehensive, and if it is being done by Capita or some similar company, it's easy enough to weed out skewed results and ignore them. Filled mine in and it's off.
  24. First class Amms. That was a great read. Attenborough meets Ally. I'm doing the next one, which has certainly become daunting.
