  1. Or, "I left my fart in San Francisco". How very uncouth of me. Unreserved apologies to all of a sensitive nature. :-)))))
  2. That was the point I tried to make. The only thing this has done is give unprecedented power to Regan. And, if previous history is anything to go by, I doubt very much that he has the wherewithal to handle it. I still have my suspicions about him and his ex-colleague, Liewell.
  3. Knife crime in the West of Scotland is at the stage where the police simply cannot cope, alcohol-related crimes are also in the increase. Sectarian crimes represent 0.1% of all crimes in Scotland and yet this is the bandwagon that wee Eck et al, wish to jump on. I think it says more about them that they would really like us to know.
  4. So, the deck chairs on the Titanic have been shifted again. Real steps that could have been taken to improve the quality of the game in Scotland, starting with the children, have been ignored in favour of the usual 'let's look after No 1' . And I'll bet there are still people who wonder why we can no lobger produce players like we saw against Man Ure the other week? What, for example, is bing done to improve the skill levels of kids at grassroots level, because without this input, we might as well pack up now?
  5. So, big man, back tae the Poofter's Loyal, then? How will this affect your recently taken vow of abstinence? Or is it a case of abstinence makes the heart grow fonder? :-)))
  6. "Has he be lying to Coisty as well?" Who else has he been lying to?
  7. Surely his financial credentials would have been "proved" during due diligence? I can see why others would be interested in continuing to stoke this particular fire but for the life of me, I cannot understand why someone who (laughably) calls himself Rangers' No 1 Fan, would fail to see that such chinese whispers only serve to destabilise and are not in the best interests of Rangers FC.
  8. "You haven't upset anyone as far as I can see. Gersnet is a place for discussion and I don't think you've crossed any lines. In the forum rules it states that unsubstantiated accusations aren't allowed and Admin have asked that any allegations that can't be substantiated be removed, but you're not making any allegations yourself, you're merely speaking of them based on info you were given. This is something which happens all the time, but we need to be careful not to buy into every rumour that passes through. It's common sense that questions be asked and unlikely stories be regarded with scepticism by anyone who wants to just as anyone who wants to believe them is free to do so." Point taken.
  9. This has grown arms and legs. I was given confidential information which, as someone has correctly pointed out, doesn't make it correct. It also doesn't make it wrong either. As to Bain, it will all come out in the wash. I was expressing an opinion, not making an accusation, as some are trying to imply. I said; "IF he acted in a manner ...etc, etc. Not, HE DID act in a manner..... etc, etc. As I've said, I was expressing an opinion. Nothing else. One other thing; the board of directors was not intact and fully functioning, as has been suggested. However; be that as it may, argue among yourselves. I've said all I'm going to say on this. But I will say this in closing, if I have upset anyone by my postings, I apologise profusely, that was not my intent. Like all Rangers' supporters, I want only what is best for Rangers.
  10. I believe Bain only came to the club in 1996 - but I stand to be corrected as I'm not sure of his exact date of arrival. Who but Murray judged that he was doing a good job? Remember all the directors owed their patronage to Murray and they were unlikely to disagree with him. So as to whether he "earned promotions" is a matter for conjecture. As for "stealing", I'm sorry if I did not make my original point clear but, if he acted in a manner that was likely to give him any fiscal advantage, then he is failing as a director, in his fiduciary duty to shareholders. Or, to put it simply, he was taking money to which he had no legal entitlement. Call that what you will.
  11. (1) I'm sure you'll understand, but that information is confidential. (2) Any change to any contractual obligation would have to be approved by the majority shareholder as the company was at that time, in a state of flux.
  12. That was only part of his job, and he failed miserably in that as well. As Chairman of Rangers plc he still had the responsibility of ensuring that the club was run on a firm financial footing. Something that he spectacularly - along with others on the board - failed to do. He did not carry out his fiduciary responsibilities to the shareholders. Had he done so, i doubt we would have heard quite so much from Lloyds.
  13. (1) What "misinformation" are you referring to? and (2) "Theft" is open to many interpretations, but if Bain did indeed - with the connivance of others - award himself a renewed contract that involved him receiving an enhanced pay off and, he did so without the approval of the majority shareholder (or any shareholder, come to that) then in the eyes of the law, that is tantamount to theft because it would be construed as a fiduciary action not in the best interests of the shareholders. I'd like to know why you think that it's "unthinkable" that Bain would steal from the club? Do you know him that well? Bain is a product of Murray's patronage. I don't think he has shone particularly brightly at his job nor do I think he was particularly well qualified for it in the first place. It seems that Murray sort of plucked him from the ether and placed him in the position of CEO. How many people in the business community had heard of Bain beforehand? Peter Principle comes to mind here.
  14. Let's hope that he gets someone who at the very least, is the equal to Liewell. Preferably better, of course.
  15. His "irregularities" as I understand it were not so much mishandling our finances but enhancing his own. From what I have been able to gather, he has been suspended for awarding himself a new contract involving an enhanced pay off. Also, I believe that at the time of the takeover, he was in the process of suing the club (I don't know the grounds for this action).
  16. Absolutely. Surely Rangers have learned their lesson now about this mercenary. He was good for us but there are some things worth more than mere lucre; principles, for example.
  17. I think we're splitting hairs here as to whether or not he has been sacked. I would suggest that as he was "escorted" from the premises by security staff there would have been a pretty good reason for doing so and that his "suspension" is merely a precurser to him getting his stamp album.
  18. If found to be true, it would justify his removal from the Board of any PLC.
  19. Todays reading comes from the book of Trophies chapter 54 verses 1 to 38. 1. Tis the seasons end in the year of our Lord 2011 2. And it came to pass, that once more, the leader of The Timmites found himself at the gates of the kingdom of our Lord. Lehnone, for it is he, chosen amongst his hordes to lead them out of the wilderness and into the Promised land. 3. For they are delirious and misguided and sons of the fools of Erin. 4. Though many could nay point at the place on a school map. 5. Verily did Lehnone beat upon the gilded door of the Kingdom and waited for his audience with the Lord. 6. In time, after leisure and several sherbets did the Lord open the window of the door to his Kingdom and bade the caller to reveal his identity and his purpose. 7. Lehnone cowered in his cloak of green nylon and spaketh to the Lord his request. 8. I come, Lord, as leader of the Timmites and ask that thee grant us entry to the Kingdom of the Lord and the trophy of the league known as Espeeyell. 9. The Lord, furrowed his brow in anger and didst raise his voice at Lehnone. 10. Not once but thrice now have Timmites come to these gates these past 3 seasons to request the trophy of the league known as Espeeyell. 11. And twice before I have sent thee away empty handed. This temerity to ask once more has angered me beyond belief. 12. For thrice I tell thee that the there is no place in the Kingdom of the Lord and certainly no trophy hast thou merited this season either. 13. Lehnone, not deterred.did demand that the Lord taketh into account that the Timmites are the only right and just tribe to be awarded the league trophy of the Espeeyell. 14. Lehnone didst tell the Lord that all the other tribes in the land hath plot against the Timmites who were gentle and kind and good subjects and that the rest of the tribes, needest to look at themselves and not the Timmites. 15. Lehnone didst also say that the Ibrox were the worst of all tribes and that their sort included evil doers like Diouf of el Hadj and Lafferty of Kyle. 16. The Lords voice was now thunderous and anger and smoke spilled from his lips like the lava from an Icelandic volcano. 17. Thou hast the temper of a cat with its testicles in a vice, Lehnone. Thou hast the brain of a mollusc on eccies. Thy people have chosen thee well. I will concede that thee are a true representative of thine tribe. 18. But did I not send the Angel Walter down 20 seasons ago to smite thee and teacheth thy Timmite hordes a lesson? 19. Didst thou not learn then? 20. Did I not also send the Angel Gabriel of Amato down to teacheth thee a sound lesson as to thine place in the hierarchy of tribes? 21. Though hast to learn that the Timmites are the lowest of all Tribes and should never have ambition to reach exalted ground. 22. For verily I sent the Angel Walter down a second time and still thou est will not learn that ye cannot walk upon Walter. 23. For the Angel Walter has taken the trophy of the Espeeyell thrice in a row and to prove my point I have restricted the Ibroxi Tribes resources to zero. And still they thrash you like a dominatrix does a high court judge. 24. And Lehnone fell to his knees, cupping his hands to his ears. Intent once more to refuse to hear the words of wisdom from the Lord or his chosen people the Ibroxi. 25. The Lord looked down upon Lehnone as a tiger to his fallen prey. 26. I am merciful Lehnone. Have I not allowed the Timmites to reach 42 leagues and to dwell like pikeys in the wilderness? 27. Thou must always lag the Ibroxi, for it is written, they have reached 54 leagues and yea, still they are marching and counting. 28. Lehnone was defeated. But he believed he may have but one chance to enter the Kingdom of the Lord with a trophy. 29. And as Lehnone was about to leave the gates of the Kingdom of the Lord to re-join his hordes of Timmites in the City of Breezeblock the Lord called after him. 30. And dont think that thy will victor as yea taketh thine horde to the Well:- The Mother of all wells, for there is no trophy there that ye will claim. That trophy will be saved for the McCall of Stuart and his people for they have served me well. 31. Thou are but a git of sadness Lehnone, be gone with you. 32. Lehnone was angered by his failure once more and didst kick the water bottles that had lain beside the gates for travellers to quench their thirst. 33. The Lord closed the window of the door of the gates of the Kingdom and returneth to his throne once more to hark the angels recite the Penny Arcade. 34. And lo, Lehnone, totally lacking in gorm didst return to the city of Breezeblock to inform his people that once more he had failed to bringeth them access to the Kingdom of the Lord and the trophy of the Espeeyell. 35. And the hordes of Timmites did listen to his whining and gathered in a huddle to decideth his fate. 36. The hordes didst agree with the Lords view that Lehnone was truly well chosen as a leader and representative of the Timmites 37. Then there came much wailing and gnashing of teeth and Lehnone was verily duffed up and left for the Wolves (after McCarthy gets the sack). 38. Here endeth the lesson By kind permission of Eddy Smyth, a good Bluenose.
  20. Whatever our financial situation is at the moment, and it has to be better than it was at the start of the season, we're on a more sound fiscal footing than our separated brethren who made it clear from day won that they had to win this title to get access to the Championship money. Don'y let them kid you otherwise. They are now up to their financial necks in the brown smelly stuff.
  21. Perhaps now would be a good time to revise your opinion? :-)))
  22. Truly Shocking as Mjalby said at the end. We’ve never seen anything like this before. Terrible. Well, apart I suppose from the Celtic fans who tried to attack Hugh Dallas on the pitch and there was the Celtic fan who attacked the AC Milan goalie, Dida…and I suppose you might need to consider the Celtic fan who tried to attack Rangers’ goalie, Ally Maxwell and the Celtic fan who attacked the Rapid Vienna ‘keeper, and….well, thinking about it there was the Celtic fan who attacked Gordon Strachan when he was a player and of course, the Celtic fans who attacked Barry Ferguson…but, Johan is absolutely right; apart from these incidents, we’ve certainly never seen anything like that before.
  23. Oh, he'll be back alright. He's already achieved Martyr status amongst the simple minded and he will retain his semi-god status. At least until there is another Ross County.
  24. Whilst not condoning what hapened to Lennon and despite all the arguments that he brings most of this oprobrium on himself, I still have the feeling that Lennon sees himself as a martyr 'for the cause' y'understand? and that this attack will be presented as an unwarranted (shome mishtake shurely?) attack on a man who is simply doing his job and doing it well. Then we'll get the usual shite about how he will not be hounded out of ra sellik, the club he loves, etc, etc. In general, he will do what he does best and appeal to the lowest common denominator (and by Christ, there's a lot of them) among the celtic support. They of course, will lap it up and swear eternal alliegance - at least until their next defeat by a lower placed club. I said to a couple of my friends this morning that both celtic and their many friends in the media would be contorting themselves to try and get the name of Rangers involved. Lo and behold, we have the once-abused boy Brazil refusing to say that Lennon's attacker was a Hearts' supporter and Mr Opus Dei himself, Nicky Campbell on Radio 5 Live saying "What's to say it was not a Rangers' supporter wearing a Hearts' scarf?" BTW, what's to say it wasn't a celtic supporter wearing a Hearts' scarf? After all, there's enough of them who don't like him either. Honestly, reason does not enter into it.
