DU let him keep his job when the complaint was raised...even though he admitted the offence.

Scottish Cup final 2003, Rangers v Dundee.
BlueMazza replied to 26th of foot's topic in Rangers Chat
This is the thing though, if it was a final, I could *almost* understand - and DU have taken along more fans to a final. But it's not, it's a semi final. Where it being held at Porkhead, we'd get the majority allocation (after thoroughly cleansing the seats) by default. -
DU fans now trying to say they won't take kids due to 'hostile atmosphere' at Ibrox. Britney nodding his head.

I'm lost Thompson. Is it what you believe or is it fact? The two are not mutually exclusive. His words are a mess.

Ach I can't be bothered with it! I'm more forgiving of the team than most I suppose. I won't judge too much til we're in the SPL again where we belong. Besides, I think sometimes it's easy to be too hard and say but this is the minimum we should expect. Fair enough, but these are extraordinary circumstances and should be treated as such. Now to the end of the season should be enjoyed (providing we win at least one cup, we'll have had a more successful season than our hated neighbours). I know a lot don't agree with my position and I don't always enjoy the games (who could with some of them) but seeing our team making it's steady way to the top is great. Remember, we weren't supposed to enjoy this. We were supposed to be quiet, and abandon our team in disgrace. We're supposed to quietly accept our punishment for being the most successful club. Screw that, we are Rangers!

Did the letter say what was so offensive about the word? Just curious, and fair enough if you can't/won't discuss

I'm sure behind closed door the SPFL/SFA are KICKING themselves. No doubt expected our cup runs to be similar to last year. Lets be honest, it was expected for Celtic to do better than they have - imo they are the ones having the poor season. Nothing but league is pathetic for them. Considering it was Rangers fans who were originally unhappy with the cup finals being at Parkhead, it's nice to see that the Ibrox semi-final allocation has now worked in our favour. Feeling quite good to be a Ger again

Dundee United chief Stephen Thompson blasts SFA.....

Couldn't give a shiney about Thompson and his complaints. He can stick it up his arse. -
Should Rangers get the plaudits for their League One success?
BlueMazza replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
I think it's a shame this is even a question. We won the league, of course it should be celebrated. Every step on this journey back up should be celebrated as an achievement in the face of those who wish to see us eradicated. Yes it is not the same as winning the SPL or whatever it is now, but it's another step and another fuck you to those whose hatred knows no bounds. -

Well done to all involved. I know it's been a tense few days what with THAT cup game, but it's nice to see us win the league at a canter and know we are one stage away from being back where we truly belong. -
Wow, some good news :D

Kieran Prior has thrown his weight behind Dave King

This is good. With all the initiatives & King's statements recently I'm feeling positive again. I'm sure the trauma isn't over yet, but we have a chance. -
Alex Thomson: Rangers into administration on Wednesday-Question....
BlueMazza replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I thought they could force a sale to recover their charge against it. If you borrow £10K against a house worth £100K I can't see how they are entitled to the £100K -
If I put my season ticket money in that scheme and the club say 'no season ticket' then that's their loss. If it was just me then fair enough. If enough people with hold then we have a plan. McMurdo may think it's barmy, personally I think it's refusing to prop up a board who are destroying our club. I'm not willing to go through this all over again. Those at the top get richer, it's the average fan & the small business who get shafted. NO MORE.

Good statement and nice to see everyone (fan groups) working together, something the rest of us had been hoping for.

Isn't it a concern though that these loans are secured? Surely we can't afford to go in to admin again as those would be the first things called up.

I'm actually really disappointed with this. I genuinely had high hopes for GW. The ready to listen initiative etc made me wonder if we might finally have a good one. Ultimately, I don't believe this is down to him. I think the truth is probably so bad it would worsen our stock exchange standing if the true depth of financial mismanagement came out. So maybe he really can't say. Truly disappointing though as I said, as I now feel as if the ready to listen thing is just a peace keeping exercise or to keep our gaze that way whilst we get done over YET AGAIN

Dr Waiton on Rangers, Free Speech and Sectarianism
BlueMazza replied to ThatsWhyWeirChamps's topic in Rangers Chat
Andy I do understand and agree with you mostly. For my part, Religion should be separate from state. It has no business in deciding our laws, especially when so many religious institutions are/have been corrupt in one form or another. I don't want catholic heads replaced by protestant heads. I want people with the good, fair ideas in charge. Religion has no place, it's a private personal matter imo. Completely agree on the whole 'we' thing too. We are not all protestant. -

Here you go. http://sgo.sagepub.com/content/3/3/2158244013504207#T2 With regard to Old firm domestic violence. It does happen trying to suggest it doesn't, derails efforts to reduce domestic violence. I understand what Waiton is saying, but I don't agree with a fair bit of what he says. -
