If Morelos does go I’d prefer to see us go for a traditional 6ft plus centre forward which would give us the longball option should we need it

The signings of McLauchlin & Balogun already look better signings than some of the signings made last summer many of whom only looked like squad players filling jerseys Both McLauchlin & Balogun will push strongly for a starting place. Those currently in the first choice starting XI need to be on their toes

An absolutely dreadful result. Too much money being spent on a youth academy which produces next to no one for the first team. I’ve always thought Gerrard had reservations about the young players at Rangers. Not difficult to see why

FFP must be the biggest joke of all time. Man City with no debt fell foul of it but neighbours Man Utd with £500m debt were okay. Then there’s Barcelona & Real Madrid with their soft loans, property deal, non-payment of taxes etc, etc

Agree. And what are the costs having youth teams and all the various coaches when virtually none of the players become first team regulars? Could that money be better spent elsewhere?

The step up to the first team squad will always be too big a step for the vast majority of youth players at any big club. Rangers are no different.

Much of the so-called signings is down to agents trying to move players on. There is no recorded interest in these players from us. No quotes from anyone inside Rangers

These fixtures are another fix, carve-up, stitch-up call it what you want. The first OF game normally takes place end Aug/ start Sept. But it’s been pushed back to the end of October because it’s at CP & liewell is hoping supporters will be allowed back into stadiums by then. Why wasn’t our MD ( someone called Stewart Robertson I’m told) calling this out?
