On the face of it an amalgamation is a good idea but quite frankly I couldn't care less what it gets called. It's what it does and how effective it is are the criteria it should be judged on. It must not be too close to the board & be prepared to ask pertinent questions for starters like how we're going to fund playing squad improvements for our return to the top flight next season. And it should be prepared to challenge the pondlife in the mhedia and their biased reporting. It should also question the SFA & SPFL and the Rangers-hating individuals who inhabit these organisations. There are lots of benefits from this if we can use this amalgamation to speak as one voice effectively

I really don't get all the fuss about not getting Diagouraga. We already have a player who can play his position(Dominic Ball) & have signed another on a pre-contract(Crooks) My main concern is up front. We need to add a proven striker, even if it's on loan til the end of the season.

I don't get the dismay over the failure to get Diagouraga. If we need a defensive MF why noy play Dominic Ball there? Or try & get Crooks released early? FWIW I'd like to see Halliday played further up the park as I think he'd be more effective there but my biggest concern in this transfer window is getting in a decent striker(even on loan)

It's imperative we strengthen in this transfer window to ensure we get promoted. Even if it's a couple of decent loan signings til the end of the season provided they can get in the starting XI. What worries me is the apparent lack of funds. Even if we did get promoted with this squad we'd be cannon fodder in the top division next season.
