Mike Ashley takes on SFA over £7,500 fine for dual ownership
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
As I said earlier if Murray and Gilligan believe Ashley can be beneficial to Rangers they'll work with him. But to go back to the OP I'm deeply suspicious as to why the SFA ruled against dual ownership of club whilst it seems to be commonplace elsewhere in Europe. To me the SFA is controlled by one club nowadays and their dual club ownership ruling reflects that.As well as Rangers it could mean the likes of the St Mirrens & Motherwells could become feeder clubs for EPL & championship clubs and become better sides with better calibre players in the form of loanees from parent clubs -
Mike Ashley takes on SFA over £7,500 fine for dual ownership

Following last week's 'amicable' talks that might not be happening any time soon. Make no mistake if Paul Murray & John Gilligan think Ashley's involvement can be beneficial to Rangers they'll work with him. And Rangers need serious money from somewhere. Doesnt look like Mr King is too keen to provide loans so where else do they go? I'd doubt T3B can provide much more loans -

Have they stopped him? Will they be able to stop him? -

A bad week for the SFA just about to get worse.... First there was the Josh Meekings fiasco. Now this. Whether people are pro-Ashley or Anti-Ashley is besides the point here. There are examples of dual ownership of clubs throughout Europe.Giampaolo Pozza being the prime example who owns Udinese, Watford & Grenada. Why are the SFA opposed to it if UEFA arent? Shouldnt all UEFA countries have similar legislation? If not what's the point of UEFA? The cynic in me tells me this SFA legislation is to protect ra hoops to prevent meaningful competition from other clubs in this country. The SFA will not beat Ashley and they know it -
By the end of next season we'll have satisfied all the newco criteria to allow the club to play in Europe. We'll have had three years audited accounts by then which is what's required. However if God forbid) we're still in the Championship next season our only route to Europe will be the SC

No point paying Hibz any money if his contract expires one year from now. Get him on a pre-contract next January

another yahoo from the glesga legal profession maybe?
-
Wow has Keech just realised that the SFA are rotten to the core and run by the yahoos?
-
And the fact that FIFA didn't agree with what they were proposing to do. Doesn't anyone find that a bit concerning?
-
Heads must roll at the SFA over this.

Isnt Lord Carloway John Reid's buddy?

McCall: Shane Ferguson has 'lifted' Rangers despite not making debut yet
RANGERRAB replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Ferguson would be a massive gamble as he hasnt played for so long. I think McCall simply has to get his tactics spot-on if we're to get promoted via these play-offs. Accommodating both Vuckic and Ferguson in the same team may be difficult IMO. -
A striking problem: How Rangers' forwards have fared this season
RANGERRAB replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
I'd be surprised if Boyd,Miller or Daly featured again this season. -
It is corrupt and run for the benefit of one club. The circumstances behind the appointments of Rhegan, Lunny & the latest yahoo Compliance Officer need investigated. The vindictive punishment handed out to Josh Meekings is testimony to the way it is being run. Are they stupid enough to go against what FIFA are saying?
-
Surely this FIFA intervention makes the position of the SFA Compliance Officer untenable? He must go of his own accord or be sacked
-
Nine of them along with the yahoos voted us out the then SPL in 2012. I wondeif some of them are beginning to regret that as surely they can see what it has led to i.e. the yahoos calling all the shots. I say again: would Meekings still have been served this notice of complaint(missing the final) if the yahoos had won ?
-
that was due to an administrative error by Legia who fielded a suspended player for 2 minutes
-
And they wonder why no one will sponsor the SPFL ?
-
It was a mistake by the officials because they missed it. Nothing more. Now they're going out to question the officials integrity which must be stopped. We even get the likes of Andy Walker commenting on this. Walker played in their team in the 1989 SC final which stopped a Rangers treble. Their goal came from a throw-in the yahoos took which had been awarded to Rangers. Don't hear the wee hypocrite bemoaning that do you?
-
This is all becoming a witch hunt by the yahoos. They're doing this because they know they can get away with it in Scottish football as the SFA are weak and won't do anything. They are now questioning the integrity of the officials which is totally unacceptable. Had this been a EL or CL game & they got put out of Europe (again )would they be behaving towards UEFA in such a manner? Of course they wouldn't
-
There is nothing wrong with the game of football. The problem we have is the SFA compliance officer who selects some offences to punish the individuals concerned and ignores others. He is inconsistent and not fit for purpose. He is behaving like an aggrieved yahoo who is seeking vengeance.
-
This whole thing now smacks of vindictiveness from the SFA does it not? Had the yahoos still gone on and won the game(without the said penalty & redcard)would Meekings have been issued with this? I think not We all know who are running the SFA and it is so apparent where their allegiances are
-
FWIW I wish they would leave these shores. England won't want them though. Their baggage will see to that. They could always try the League of Ireland I suppose
-
I genuinely wonder what response we'll get from Rhegan's SFA over this. They surely can't do nothing can they? The inference that they were somehow cheated needs to be addressed by the SFA. Cheated by whom? We've already been down this road with them & had a referees strike. It's imperative action is taken by the SFA to prevent that happening again.
-
It was a genuine mistake. The referee couldn't see it & took the decision from the official behind the goal who didn't see it either because Griffiths obscured his view. Now all hell has broken loose. Celt@c are complaining to the SFA. What do they want the SFA to do? Sack the referee ? Come out & tell us he'll ever referee again ? But we've been here before haven't we? Just ask Dougie McDonald. But the biggest problem of all is the SFA themselves and the fact Rhegan is there. They think they can get their own way and have done so previously. Is it just me or have they got worse since Liewell's pal Rhegan arrived?
