Since MB took over there does seem to be a greater belief amongst these players although to be honest some are definitely nearing the end of their time at Rangers. I do think the likes of Ryan Jack & John Lundstrum are losing a bit of influence in MF they once had. Maybe this explains MB’s interest in players quoted in the media. No but Bassey & Aribo were 2 players seeking to establish themselves. Tom Davies & Cantwell fall more into the Matondo category for me in that they’re trying to get their careers back on track. That worries me.

It should not be the main market we’re in though. Far from it. As well as developing our own players from the academy, we should be looking at home & abroad for young players to develop & sell on. Like Bassey & Aribo. Will Tom Davies or Cantwell bring us anything like Bassey & Aribo did?

Both Tom Davies & Cantwell are high risk signings in my opinion. Not unlike Matondo. Whatever they had ain’t there anymore. Who’s to say they’ll rediscover it at Rangers

I’d doubt if we’ll see Helander playing again for Rangers. His contract expires at the end of this season. As for Souttar I think least said the better. Handing him a contract with his injury record was madness
