That’s the place to be.

Hmmmm. West Midlands or Glesca? Black Country can be nice in winter, I hear and you can commute easily from the Cotswolds. On the other hand, Glesca gives you a free ticket to Europe. Postecoglou is on the way up, sadly. Sadly, Wolves are on the way down. The twain shall not meet.
-
He would be the continuation candidate but Wolves are more in need of Sean Dyche to Burnleyise them i.e. keep them up for a few years. They had an outstanding post-promotion season playing nice football and getting a Europa League place. Perhaps that wasn’t such a good thing because playing in the extra competition, they fell back in the domestic league and last season all the warning signals were there as they floundered about just above the basement.

Wolves have sacked Bruno Lage. Looks like they'll be joining their Black Country mates, West Brom, in the Championship although Baggies themselves are flirting with another relegation to League 1. Wolves have been on the slide since they sold the real Jota to Liverpool.
-
City still win the league but only by about twenty points.

Ok. A dangerous and deeply dishonest bunch of greetin’ wee girlies. No argument. See previous post.
-
Very true. Doesn’t stop them being greetin’ wee girlies as well. I cite McLeod and Stewart as two of them.
-
PQ really are a bunch of greetin’ wee girlies, aren’t they? 26th, your indefatigability in monitoring their gibberish is saluteable.
-
6-1 and still time to go. Significant derby results, not just the scores but the manner of execution. Gunners and City pulling away and Liverpool haven’t started yet.

To distinguish him from Bill?

Matadoro did well to set up the second. -

They started it, buster. -
You disappoint me, sir. Out on Doric’s western frontier, we uncouth folk speak about a baldy heid. I thought that in the leafy boulevards of the Broch glabrous pate was common parlance.
-
It is but the loss of his energy hasn’t been addressed.
-
“glabrous pate”! On a football discussion board! By God, this place is intellectual. Conjures up a vision of Friar Tuck.
-
But not untypical. Robson, Venables and Eriksson all came close but without double home advantage, couldn’t emulate Sir Alf.
-
@Gribz, old bean, from your legal studies you will be familiar with the term force majeure. @Rousseauis a force majeure so dinna greet and give us your views on rhe game last night. I thought that by modern standards it was a good match. Periods of tedium were laced with spells of very good football and a couple of really good goals. Who would have thought Germany would lead by two and not win, in fact come close to losing? They were less effective when Raum went off. England became effective when Saka came on. He might develop into a fabulous player with Real when they buy him. Overall, despite fielding a fullback by name of Schlotterbeck, this wasn’t a classic German side. England better find a centre half pronto. Billy Wright will be turning in his grave. So would John Terry if he were deid.
-
By God, sir, you’re right, sir.
-
England always have a lot of talented players to pick from, though maybe not quite as talented as some observers believe but only Ramsay with double home advantage has ever done anything with that talent. Eriksson and Capello couldn’t do it. If they couldn’t, who can?
-
1-2. Shields sent off first half, Buckie ahead in the second, Linfield score twice in two minutes.
-
Come on, man. He’s go a waistcoat and he’s a left winger. That’s all you need to succeed these days.
-
The manager may be a duffer but the players should realise that people pay to watch them play to the best of their ability. If they won’t, find some who will. Anyway, don’t they just want to win any game they are playing in?

In an SPFL Trust Trophy tie on 24 September. Not those hoops but Buckie Thistle. Green and white right enough but so far as I am aware no connection with the abominables.
