I think you just summed up what most of us thought when we first heard about him at the weekend. Just what we need for the short term to get the team gelled. Because of the car crash that has been the last three years unfortunately MW is starting from scratch oh yes in the championship.

Difference for me is that mw appears to know what he islooking for and will target players that will fit his system unlike previous incumbents who just collected players then tried to figure out how to fit them all in. If we are going with a relatively young centreback pairing and some young blood in midfield an experienced holding mid is exactly what we need. I presume they have done their homework and are buying in a ready made leader , something we have lacked for years, on the pitch.. typical of our supports mentality if its naw a big name we dinnae want him..

pretty sure they make a 3 or 4 year commitment on the SFA schooling part (they certainly were offering that at the Aberdeen based school a couple of years ago) but your place at the pro youth team you are associated with is not gauranteed.
