  1. Sorry if it seems im disagreeing with everything you say just now mate but im not having this. I would say we have had 2 bad results this season, Hearts and Motherwell, other than that we are unbeaten. Ferguson didnt play the first half against Hearts and came on to change the game in our favour so thats 50% of our bad results away. He was poor on Saturday but was hardly helped by the players around him. I think you are mad if you think we should drop him in certain games. Did you see the first 45 mins against Hearts?
  2. I did actually say a "more" forward thinking player, and Thomson is more forward thinking than Hemdani. I dont think you can argue with that. I know your a big fan of 3 at the back mate but i dont think we should be messing with our defence just now, we want them as settled as possible, Whittaker should be dropped for a few games with Novo taking his place. On another point, am i the only one who thought Beasley was a lot more of a threat than McCulloch on the left when he came on? im not Beasley's biggest fan but i think he gives us a better attcking option on the left, might mean moving big Lee over to the right.
  3. I think what SA is meaning is, if we draw with a team 0-0 and they dont have a single effort on goal then it wouldnt make a difference if we had Cech, McGreggor or Stevie Wonder in goals because obviously that isnt the problem, its the fact we arent creating/scoring. On Saturday, i think our main problem was not creating enough chances, IMO Hemdani would not have changed that, if anything he would have made matters worse (again this is just my opinion) because he would have taken away a more "forward thinking" midfielder. Our defence isnt struggling badly enough to warrant having Hemdni sitting in front of them for protection.
  4. Superb Craig, I got just under 200 bucks, sent me to bed a happy man.
  5. Levitski just won mate, really was an odds on fav anyway, hope the other 2 do well tonight, ive shown a bit of faith in your judgement with a wee treble. Ive learned by now, do the opposite to what Gazza says. :fish:

    Strongest XI

------------McGreggor Hutton-----Weir ---Cuellar----Smith Novo----Thomson--Ferguson--McCulloch --------Darcheville---Cousin I havent been overly impressed with Whittaker either, Nacho offers so much more, i agree that Cousin will come good but now that Boyd has started to get a few goals, it will be interesting to see who partners JCD.
  7. Your right, hes much better
  8. As a Liverpool "fan" i was thrilled to see Torres get the hatrick last night, i just hope we dont see Rafa's stuborn side as he drops him for the game at Wigan on Saturday. Torres just oozes class and imo should be a constant in the team along with Reina, Carra and Stevie G making a very strong spine to the team But then who am i to question the judgement of the man who has guided us to Champions league glory and two finals in 3 years?
  9. I like it, Lets Get Ibrox Bouncing tonight.
  10. Ive just created a team and created a Gersnet league as well, if anyone fancies joining, the league code is 162427-25509. If not im defo going to win
  11. I dont think Thomson has looked lost in the middle when played alongside Ferguson, he was really poor on Saturday but he was being overrun with Amdy Faye doing nothing to help him. I think Thomson work rate is a lot better than Hemdani's in the middle, Hemdani, seems to want to sit in front of the back 4 and break up play (which he does really well) but i dont think we can afford to have someone just sitting in front of the back 4 when we only have 2 centre mids on the field. So i agree with Walters decision that Thomson is a better option in a 442 formation.
  12. McCulloch is suspended for Wednesday mate so that leaves Beasley or Naismith.
  13. I think its a certainty that WS will play a 451 on Wednesday. I just worry about Hemdani's match sharpness, hes only played a handfull of games so far this season yet WS will probably bring him in for our biggest game of the season so far. I, like most Rangers fans, would prefer to see us really having a go at these European big guns at Ibrox, lets face it, our objective was to get to this stage so anything now is a bonus, i would love to see WS play 442 and i would go for: -------------McGreggor------------- Hutton-----Cuelar----Weir------Papac Novo---Fergie---Thommo---Beasley --------JCD------Boyd/Cousin------ I thought Thommo had his worst game of the season so far on Saturday but he wasnt exactly given much help from Faye who looked a bit shocked at the pace of the game, im convinced you would see a different performance on Wed if played alongside Fergie again. I havent been overly convinced by Whittakaer's performances recently and would prefer to see Novo on the right. For me JCD has to start and im unsure about who to partner him with, both Cousin and Boyd looked poor on Sat so take your pick.

    Match Previews

Haha, yeah, lets keep the previews at a high standard no silly mistakes in them. Just as well you have a while to sort those mistakes eh Gribz.

    Alan Gow

I see from the official site that Gowser scored the other night again against Ayr United. Link. He seems to be doing really well in the reserves and also impressed me pre-season. I would really like to see him given a chance, i know we are winning just now but i think that Gow could be the creative player that we seem to be lacking. Where he plays would be a bit of a problem but i would like to see him given a shot at left mid providing more competition for Beasley and McCulloch. What do you guys think, should he be given a chance?
  16. No, i think there are very few fans on Gersnet and even in Ibrox who sing banned songs, i just dont think the fans who sing BJK think it is a "banned" song and thats why there were a lot of fans singing it at Ibrox on Saturday.
  17. Im not, im shocked that only 5 people have voted in support of this, as Fraser said there are a lot of fans at Ibrox who sing this and i would bet money that there are more people than just Fraser on Gersnet who support and sing this, at least Fraser has the baws to admit he sings it and try to explain why, where are the rest of you?

    Champions League

As far as i can tell mate, even if AEK get through they will be in pot 2 and it also means that no other spanish team will be allowed to be drawn with AEK and vice versa.

    Champions League

Come on guys, who's your preferred teams then? I would like: Barcelona PSV Eindhoven Schalke Rangers Really cant wait for the draw.
  20. I dont think we should bother signing Naismith anymore, i was keen before but after seeing the way our forwards have started the season, i dont see where we would fit him in and he did say he would only move if gauranteed regular football, dont think we can gaurantee him that anymore.
  21. Oh well, thats 3 more teams for me to cheer on in the group stages Thought Septic were pretty poor last night, looked really short of ideas in the final third, especially considering thier fans claims that they are THE flair team of the SPL. Thier full backs are really pish poor and Caldwell isnt much better, McGeady looks ok until he trys to deliver a final ball, which is always pish, Donati and Brown are good in the middle but i wouldnt say they are much better than Thommo and Fergie, Nakamura seems to drift in and out of games but is capable of something special, JVOH dosent impress me and they still dont have a decent striker to partner him, McDonald is a busy wee player but isnt going to cut it in the CL or against us for that matter. Overall, if we play the way we can this season we wont have to worry about what they do.
  22. I know what you mean mate, i lost the rag with Papac a few times last night, i think we really need to bring a left back in before the deadline for the group stage.

    Champions League

I was trying to find the old thread with what teams we need to drop out of this round for us to get into pot 3 for the draw on Thursday, couldnt find it. Anyone know who we should be cheering on tonight? As well as Spartak of course.
  24. I think he was brought off for Savidan after 75 mins, still 75 mins more than he would have got for us so its only a good thing hes on loan with them, they are now sitting 3rd in the French league. And PSG are 14th
