  1. According to some jurno from the guardian signed until Jan
  2. Incredible if it happens. A dream signing. Fingers crossed
  3. He makes the next signing sound like a big one!
  4. Sometimes when reading the media coverage of us I wonder if I am being paranoid it's refreshing to see an intelligent articulate man with no pre conception get equally exasperated
  5. is that not sent to vuckic
  6. Will be young from down south and of an attacking position maybe a striker.
  7. he doesn't need hibs to agree to sell to us he just needed patience.
  8. If the agent tells the interested team the player is not interested i doubt very much they would then put in a formal bid . A similar talk would have happened with celtic and obviously the agent has not given them the same response. The player decides his future nobody else, he has various options and has picked what he sees as the best route. You know my feelings on the player so no skin of my nose, plenty more fish in the sea as they say.
  9. think the jurno has taken some liberties with what was actually said. who wrote that?
  10. they are not the only option, his agent knocked back interest from down south and he could also wait until jan.
  11. liked how warburton pulled no punches when asked how the loans would effect our own youth players. he said something along the lines of "you need to be better than these boys if we can get players that are better we will, so that is the level you must attain." far better than the standard of the team dropping to allow our youth a game
  12. wonder who the loan player will be? Would love rashford from man utds u18's.
  13. he says in his press conference he is unofficially signed and will officially sign. hes already been great in the dressing room and suffered a small set back after a level 5 training session which has delayed his signing.
  14. Why loans? Because we couldn't find players available within our budget at a comparable standard. Short term planning is as important as long term planning. We have 7 players signed for the long term now we have one to help with the short term.
  15. Great football for the equalizer.
  16. out the current squad- Walsh for temps and would have changed McKay for Gallagher. If money was no issue Vladimir Weiss or dele alli would be great in a make believe world Without knowing budgets and who's on the available list and what option agents are offering its impossible to say in realistic terms. Like the style of player Warburton is going for just would like to see the forward three with more composure in front of goal. Not a guarantee of course just look at Boyd.
  17. opinions can be changed and proven wrong that's what makes stating them risky. Lots of things need to be taken into account when judging a player far more than can be written down in a simple quote. Its being able to determine and evaluate those attributes that determines a persons ability to judge players. Nobody gets it correct 100% of the time its all guess work. Personally don't get the point in waiting to make a judgement call and not putting your evaluating skills to the test until well down the line when it is obvious to everyone. Where's the skill and fun in that?
  18. of course it doesn't matter we are only fans discussing our opinions online. Nobody is going to act on them or expect anyone too. Obviously eventually since I am always correct its just a matter of time until Warburton calls me up for advice!
  19. if he could add goals to his game his style would fit well.Would prefer someone who has a goal scoring record behind him
  20. Heard we have just made a third bid for Allan. Can we rate him before he plays or is that impossible too? Lol
  21. agree he is under more pressure than most keepers would expect or want. It will take a keeper who is naturally very confident in his ability to succeed in the role. Personally don't think he has that kind of determination or belief in his ability. Something that will only get worse as crowds get bigger and the pressure increases. I obviously had a preconceived idea about his ability before he came here and nothing I have seen so far i am afraid has dissuaded me from that belief. Sorry thought you were quoting the Swindon fan piece about him, the guy waxed lyrical about how good a keeper he was.
  22. mourning what exactly?
  23. its not just his ability with his feet I don't rate its also his composure, handling a and bravery. There is not many keepers who can play as much as we are expecting with their feet, one thing any keeper who can does have in abundance though is confidence. Think the Swindon fan you are quoting said himself his opinion was not a common one. Edit just seen your other post. I had seen him play before a couple of times he was poor in both games. Don't agree he is good at crosses when under pressure. Think he has dropped at least one already and was caught under the ball for the hibs goal that was chopped off. Hardie personally I don't really rate that highly, think Gallagher was stronger with his back to goal with a better first touch and movement. Would have liked to seen Gallagher play in the McKay role out on the right think he would have scored a few like millers recent runs at the back post.
  24. didn't think you would be able to explain how players can't be judged . pathetic. Completely unable to hold or defend an opinion without resorting to idiotic name calling. The kind of coward who would never dare speak like that face to face.
  25. can you explain this further? What do scouts and managers do? Foderingham didn't fall out the sky 3 weeks ago. It obviously takes you far longer to make correct decisions ,that does not make it a stupid statement saying you can't make decisions on players abilities is stupid. The keeper is extremely poor, no doubt 2 months from now you will clock on and still think nobody could have known any earlier! Just the same as selling Gallagher is another mistake. Amazing how I was able to say travernier would be a fantastic signing before he kicked a ball for us when its according to yourself impossible to know! Signing wise I still stick with my original predictions. Travernier and Thomson will be great signings Waghorn didn't know much about but don't think the forward line has enough goals in it. Wilson and keirnan will prove to be weak and need replaced next year. The spine will need a better standard of player. Halliday has surprised me he has performed far better than I originally thought. The keeper is poor and proving so.
