  1. Not at all. I just wanted your statement to be available to the folks on this forum. I think its important that we all know how our board feels.
  2. For those who believe D'Art, he posted this a few hours ago on another forum ... D'Artagnan said: I can confirm that the information contained on FF is consistent with that which we have received at Club 1872 - that there will be no early entry afforded to Celtic supporters for the purpose of erecting displays. And any banners or displays which are promulgated will have been surreptiously brought in between turnstile opening and kick off.
  3. I don't think we need to get over-excited about this. He never made any huge sprints up or down the park after he originally went down. He was used mainly as a zone-marking influence to protect the lead. There are enough instances to bash the management without being over-reaching.
  4. One good thing, there would be no more Lennons on the park !!
  5. Lifted this from 'Rangersfansmediawatch' on Rangers Media forum. It has important proposed parking news for Rangers fans at Ibrox. ... There is no doubt this will be passed by the council and local residents,It is in regards to parking in not just the surrounding streets but quite a large area including Dumbreck road,Clifford street,Brand street,Govan road and numerous other streets. You can find a map of the areas affected here. https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=36288&p=0 Apparently the proposal is to give local residents permits and visitors would have to pay a one off cost of £10. These new proposals should they pass are due to come in in August 2017 subject to consultation process. So unless you are a resident,Have a visitors permit or disabled badge, Anyone parking their car in the above areas stand a good chance of their cars being lifted or ticketed.. Just to reiterate this is still at the proposal stage, but many of the local residents want it to come into affect and the council won't have any problems passing it for nothing more than the usual financial reasons of filling their pockets at the motorists cost. This will cause absolute bedlam for parking in the areas on the map above and will be a huge inconvenience to supporters with no choice but to park miles away from the stadium with perhaps young children in tow. Proposals here https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=20479 And here in PDF https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=36287&p=0
  6. A lifetime in the game and his leadership has brought us to this point !!
  7. I would be very careful with both Garner and McKay in the next two games. At the first sign of trouble with Garner, I'd sub him because of his high caution count. Same with McKay if the hammer-throwers start to go after him. We can't afford not to have both of these guys start against them in the Hogmanay game.
  8. That's Garner got 5 yellow cards now. If he picks up another in the next two games he'll miss the hogmanay game.
  9. That's kind of an anaemic statement really. You would have thought that they would have been prepared for more aggressive action, knowing the DR's past performances.
  10. Didn't you know, Liewell and Petrie have favoured status when exigent circumstances prevail?
  11. Scottish Premier at Celtic Park Date: 13/12/2016 KO: 19:45 Ref: Att: 55,076 I watched the game and in some of the shots, especially in the upper decks, I'd say they would be lucky to have half that total attendance given. Maybe the twitter reports are true.
  12. My God, FIFA are more forlorn than the SFA.
  13. I think I'd disagree with two of your choices. I think you are under-estimating both Leicester and Monaco, and possibly over-estimating Sevilla and for sure Man. City. Opinions are great, eh?
  14. I tend to disagree that Halliday needs cover more than Holt. Of the players you mentioned I think the only one the four that could handle it would be Windass but he's not nearly fit enough. For this 4-3-3 sytem of MW's to work we need box-to-box players putting in the commitment and effort to cover the ground necessary. We can cover Halliday with Tavernier but I don't see anybody in the squad who can give us the ubiquitous cover that Holt does at the moment. I have thought in the last few games he has given tremendous shifts that although they are not flashy are absolutely necessary for others to have the freedom to shine. I just don't think that we have another player at the moment who can provide the engine that Holt has.
  15. Talk about putting the hex on something. Try Tavernier. He used to be a fullback and can tackle. He can also press forward.
  16. Joey Barton ... He talked the talk, but He couldn't walk the walk. Good riddance.
  17. Mental strength, desire, guts, will and the ability to accept responsibility - traits required by a winning Rangers team. This team had most of them at the beginning of the season right up until Celtic gubbed them 5-0, then the Barton incident. They need a leader among them to re-instate their focus and commitment and second is still achievable even with their lack of skills.
  18. Is it really MW or is it the players? Did you see half a dozen of them arguing among themselves in the first half, when Miller had to come in and act as peacemaker? Was that in the manager's strategy and tactics or was that players losing the plot, refusing to accept responsibilty?
  19. Is that because Hearts were fluent, high-energy, anticipatory and passionate with their game tonight?
  20. Static, low-energy, poor anticipation and non passionate football. We were poor at covering, poor at passing, even poor at times in the tackle and lacked the discipline to run into space for the man on the ball. We were not playing for each other. Basically we beat ourselves. Poor attitude by the players or poorly coached?
  21. That's a good draw for us, should be a good gate. However, Albion Rovers away must be as hard as the Gibraltar Imps !!
  22. Do you have a sense of why he would vote that way? Surely he would have a chance to maintain his %age. He's a bear, why would he screw with the board? Strange.
  23. Unfortunately, at the moment, we don't have traditional 'Rangers-standard' players.
  24. Would that work with mail from across the pond? I'll get the guys in the club to send theirs' tomorrow.
