What on Earth was Beerman doing there? Stupid yellow
-
And they've just brought on a head one
-
What plan?
-
Indeed - that's why I may be confused though , it's so hard to tell them apart
-
That was awful Is the scorer an ex youth of ours or am I confusing the c@nt with another c@nt?
-
That'd be a novelty for him! If not unique...........

I worry re Garner. He can't keep the heid in quiet games. Still, if ever there was a day to stay on the pitch, put away your chances and not act the arse then today is that day, Joe.

He's not as consistently good as he was and that may be due to court cases, things going on at Barca, or simply burn out as he's played an unbelievable amount of football and never gets a break due to World Cups, Copa America, and all the extra tournaments now run for clubs. He can still be way ahead of anyone else though. I watched a game from Spain a couple of months back where he was as good as ever. This came amidst, by his outrageous standards, 'poor' games. My abiding memories from the Juve game will be a pass he made that was so sexy that I thought I'd switched to a porn channel. You say that he's not the best at Barca anymore - I disagree, he's the first one they'd want on the team-sheet and the last player they'd want to lose. He's not been the best in the team for every single game this season. That's the difference.

He often kept us in it by making saves from situations that would never have arisen had he come and claimed crosses instead of letting them fly in to dangerous areas. Credit it to him, though, for then making the (should have been unnecessary) stops. However, I don't get your other point, the comparison. Have you forgotten what happened in 2012? Where we were sent and where we now are? Why should Goram, Klos and Woods "be the standards" he should be judged by? Are others to be judged by Baxter, Gascoigne and Laudrup? We used to be a big fish in a tiny pond. That pond became a backwater. We got mugged, assaulted and almost killed. The backwater has become a dank, stank and stagnant health hazard in which we are imprisoned, tormented and curtailed. Comparisons with the past are not just odious, they are silly. If we ever get a class keeper again (highly unlikely), he'll be instantly snapped up by a club with money from a real league.

And a less insightful one, too. I do wish him all the best except, as Pete, notes against us. A strange feeling not to have anything but bile towards another SPL club, I'd almost forgotten what that felt like.

Note the heading to his page: Entrepeneur. Business Turnaround Strategist. Would that be EBTS for short? Scandalous. I see he's had a semi-literate write in and is taking the piss out of them. (Not too successfully, as he only picked up one of the errors - but you can see this going very badly, I'm afraid.)

Were they slow to get their round in Frankie? Good on you if so - and watch out those at the next dinner, be on your toes when it's your turn to go to the bar Yes, yes I know it won't be "rounds", just trying to make light of a horrendous post. It's the first time I've seen this. It is utterly disgraceful We really have some worrying folk among our fans, I'm afraid -

I remember him well. He looked so different from other players, awkward looking, and he was a graduate - this was considered astonishing at the time. I seem to remember him getting a lot of goals in one game and ridiculous headlines the next day (similar to once when we had to play Jardine up front and he scored a few (4?) ). Perhaps this was in a sectional game? In my memory he always he tried his best and gave his all. Something that should be the norm, but as we all know is far from being so. Those stats you post are very consistent, BH - pretty much 1 in 3 each season. -

My memory isn't up to it, I'm afraid, think I was just about to turn 16, so the following is not reliable. We hit the bar but I don't remember it being twice and I wouldn't have remembered Jardine until you said it. I remember a summer's day, for me an unbelievably small crowd for an OF game - far fewer than previously, an action packed game non-stop end to end due to the amended offside rule experiment. I remember that I was sure we deserved to win (I always was) and glaring late misses that should have won the game and then the penalty debacle. They missed, then Parlane missed with a shocker, Tam McLean consoled him as he was beside himself and then McLean - almost as though in sympathy - missed with an even weaker effort. I remember everyone I was with and the scarves we wore. -

Those penalties, those damn penalties. I still have nightmares over McLean and Parlane's horrific attempts. -
The yahoos have fired in an appeal for Brown;s red card and the SFA say that due to the Easter holiday they won't have the required 5 days to hear it until April 27th. Four working says this week, as it were. Except that: "In August 2013, Scotland's deadline was set two days before the majority of other European nations despite a recommendation from UEFA, with the Scottish FA stating: "Saturday is a normal working day for us." Which means the 5 days would be up. Either they are lying today or they were lying then. https://stv.tv/sport/football/clubs/celtic/302970-scottish-transfer-window-extended-into-february-by-sfa-and-spfl/

That caused the sound effects to which I was alluding. We were all very forgiving and said we'd "all been there" or words to that effect. I'm sorry for him having oft been D&D myself. Folk in glass houses etc..... I understand the view from 'officialdom' too, of course. -
There's something Spiersian about him, right enough.

I am of the opinion that rhetorical questions lose their force if question marks are not used. I am aware this is not a universally held belief, but I think it is still the most common, and certainly the most effective, punctuation. However, I suppose I have to reluctantly concur because you wrote "didn't need" . Singapore is another location with a challenging linguistic backdrop, this time via the amazing "Singlish": http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-33809914 https://theculturetrip.com/asia/singapore/articles/speak-like-a-local-in-singapore-10-essential-singlish-phrases/ I think that "talk cock" is a magnificent phrase........I hope no-one is using words like that towards me at this very moment -
Getting away with it is what they do. The Sunday papers, who normally love to run multi-page expose of scandals, have completely blanked this one, I am presuming. P.S. Though I see Gordon Waddell, in a piece attacking King, has mentioned that outside Rangers this week the world of Scottish Football is "awash with good news" - starting with Celtic, no less.

Is Hastie the same chap who lent, erm, offstage sound effects to Dave Smiths speech? We all immediately forgave him for that - so what has happened since (or is this someone else)? -
Very interesting stuff. I like to listen to him, he seems free from the usual cliches or pretensions. Just a man talking about his job openly and in good detail. I also loved MW's interviews at first, I readily admit - there seems a lot more detailed substance in PC's words, however.
