Damn phone. I keep deleting my own message. Two new resignations now, due to, they claim, James Blair taking all control unto himself, including the accounts. Blairites blasting back with counterclaims. Another day, another clusterf... I can't link to the joint statement but here's a follow up:

McInnes: Slams Pedro Caixinha 'Your job is to finish above Celtic'
SteveC replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He did speak about Aberdeen quite a lot and the Ryan Jack mention probably didn't help McInness's mood but this is mostly 'paper nonsense. "Slams" "stuck the knife" "cranked up" - doesn't really come across that way when you listen to PC or read McInness. Do we reckon the latter is miffed at not getting the Ibrox job? -
Depressing to think Garner will be here, albeit I admire his passion and workrate. He's a ned and a serial diver, I'm afraid. And in the unlikely event that we get close to you know who he's an easy out for the refs to show red to - and make no mistake they'll be highly pressurised into wanting that easy way out.

many thanks, just listening now. Hunter re Walter at Eintrach Frankfurt in "the early 60s" - "must have been 67"(in incredulous tone)

Superb original article. Thanks.

Craig Houston, Alex Wilson & William Cowie resign from C1872 Board
SteveC replied to craig's topic in Rangers Chat
I know that she kindly gave me a lift once. Granted it was to a Gersnet Dinner, but she meant well -
Having said which that FF thread is now putting up things that continue to amaze. Torbett being around after the abuse, for example as vice-chairman of Burns's testimonial. https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3845/15100105591_a539d6a784_b.jpg If only such things were being put together by a journalist (do any still exist?)

Craig Houston, Alex Wilson & William Cowie resign from C1872 Board
SteveC replied to craig's topic in Rangers Chat
We are ever so adept at ripping ourselves to bits. I thought this a fine article: http://www.gersnet.co.uk/index.php/news-category/current-affairs/770-the-club1872-crossroads but then, two comments in, back to square one. It's really sad that our massive fan base can never get together for the good of the club. -
No, that's not what I mean. It is so very kind of you to assume that this is my motivation, and to accuse me of wanting to cover up child abuse - you have a nice day, too - but a wrong assumption. My point was that endless posts and threads in Rangers' forums is not 'uncovering' it, though, not in the slightest. For it to be uncovered, the message will have to get out from other sources - we all know there's a cover up.

Match Preview: General Caixinha Takes Command
SteveC replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
He probably shouldn't be playing at all, but we are where we are, he's our POTS. People still seem to struggle about where we are and what happened to us. We had the initial near death and then the Green-led-gutting of the carcass (supported way beyond comprehension by some on here). Recovery from this in a supportive environment would take many years and so, in our hostile environment it'll take...........well, I really don't know. Part of what could still kill us is it'll take too long for fans to hold on and - a huge worry - a future generation to care about following. We're still nailed to the floor. That's what they wanted, and that's what they've got. This is **** paradise - we're kept around to be laughed at and soundly thrashed but none of this is a surprise - it's an inevitable outcome of what was done to us, Walter coming back and winning completely spooked them and so, unable to beat us off the field, they accelerated project "Espanyolification". -
Continually reposting things on Rangers' forums has no effect whatsoever. The same articles and photos keep reappearing. FF has a 100+ busting pages thread full of Bears fulminating about this and posting and reposting the same old articles and photos - multiple times in the one thread - and all the while claiming they are concerned for the victims and want justice for them and not, lets be honest, what seems clearly an understandably deep seated need for a revenge attack on CFC for their illegal demotion and castration of us. What happened is appalling, the cover up is appalling and we are all appalled. That's been the case for as long as I can remember - among Rangers' fans. Preaching to the converted doesn't even come close to covering where these threads go. And Rangers' fans are the most ostracised and ignored members of their (?) society. Not only do people at large not care what we think, they automatically assume it's from a bigoted, right wing stance. And so.........it just goes on and on......to what end? I seem to be living in an echo chamber.

Great to hear it went well! Yours, in envy (though never green with it)

Match Preview: General Caixinha Takes Command
SteveC replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
And in the lead we are -
But will he?
-
Whether it did or not, it still isn't a leak. Agreed re Benfica. I presume - hope - that he meant symptomatic of a well run club, as in "one example of the right approach" rather than the whole reason.

Pedro must wonder wtf he's let himself in for. The sun, salary, and bikini clad girls must all seem like a distant stress free dream

I just got an email from a long term season ticket holding pal who is not renewing next season. Partly because he can't get to as many games as he is used to doing but mainly because of this. He's sick of being taken for granted and never stood up for by the board he's championed up until now. I worry re season ticket sales at this rate. Hell, I worry about everything RFC connected. It's a 5 year ulcer that never seems to ease. (Sorry first few months of MW was a delightful break ...but even then off the field....)

Oooops - forgive me, I'm dead on my feet here. Time for bed said Zebedeee.....

I hadn't realised that Uilleam. I thought his destination was unknown, apologies.
-
Yes, but it's a bit like finding a stinky rubbish bag has been dumped in your garden so you just fling it in to someone else's. (And that's without the bit about them not bothering to see if he falsified any documentation.)

Torbett has left the US. The authorities told him if he had entered without disclosing anything (they hadn't then checked and presumably won't now) he should have and they found this out then they'd come down on him - so he volunteered to leave and they let him do so. Seems a very odd way for authorities to behave to me.
