I have always thought so but if he was dead set against us then why didn't he allow their "goal".
-
Butcher trying to talk himself into it being a penalty for them. the man is an utter disgrace Edit: thankfully the replay shut him up
-
Yep. We really don;t like we could last extra time. Their midweek chasing doesn't seem to be having an effect
-
Indeed. He's made some good blocks today though. ooooooooooooooooooh hard luck Gers
-
Extravagant dive from Griffiths there. No card, obviously
-
The whole comms lot are wanting Halliday booked and e hardly touched Leggo Eater. Mutton now raving re a penalty not being given for septic. Wtf did that happen?
-
Mutton asking whether Thompson should be allowed to have refereed this game is surely dodgy stuff? (Actually I agree but for different reasons) And as for Butcher "Rangers get off with one again. Aaaaaaaaaargh

If you mean the league cup final v St Boo (one of my favourite ever wins), then I have to say I think he was correct with those cards. I was lying in an isolation room* when the penalty was given in the dying moments at Ibrox v them. Shagger saved and we went on to win the league. I've still never seen that incident, the actual award of it. I think it was him? (All I've ever seen is the save - and the Novo & Shagger re-run of it :-) so I am not sure but I think it was and all reports say that it was never a penalty). Anyway, the crime sheet against him is, as you say, lengthy. *Thankfully one of the few places in the hospitals where phones were allowed. Though I was thrilled at the save, I was deflated as I thought we had to win that day....but I thought wrongly.

He is indeed. Put it this way - Mutton has been far more favourable to us than Butcher has.

fu*cking Butcher saying it was a booking even after Webb said it wasn't a yellow!

Bears in fabulous voice, as per normal

http://www.footballinsider247.com/report-senior-rangers-ace-could-miss-season-after-shock-training-injury/? REPORT: SENIOR RANGERS ACE COULD MISS SEASON AFTER SHOCK TRAINING INJURY FacebookTwitterWhatsAppEmailShare 21st October, 2016, 1:18 AM By Dominic Toner Niko Kranjcar could be sidelined through injury for the rest of the season, according to a report. The Scottish Sun claim that the Rangers midfielder picked up a knee injury during training on Tuesday and there are concerns that he has serious ligament damage. The report details that the 32-year-old collapsed in agony and was stretchered off the pitch in the bizarre training ground accident. It is reported that the Croatian will wait to undergo scans but a cruciate injury would see him miss at least six months, meaning he would be ruled out for the majority of the season. Kranjcar’s injury will come as a huge blow for Rangers, who face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish League Cup semi-final on Sunday. The central midfielder was expected to play in the highly anticipated clash, as Rangers look to avenge the 5-1 defeat from the league meeting in September. Controversial character Joey Barton remains suspended by the club following his training ground bust-up and leaves manager Mark Warburton short of midfield options against Celtic. Kranjcar has recently settled in the Rangers side and made 15 appearances this season, scoring three goals and supplying three assists. The Croatian moved to the Scottish giants this summer and joined with vast top-level experience after 15 years at the top for club and country. He has previously played at English duo Tottenham and Portsmouth in the Premier League, as well Dinamo Zagreb, Hajduk Split, Rapid Vienna, Dynamo Kiev and most recently American side New York Cosmos.

Two years ago Barton tweeted Piers Morgan saying he couldn't do as Piers asked as he (Barton) wasn't allowed to bet on any games - I think it was about a charity match - in yet another of his stupid twitter "battles". Piers retweeted that a fortnight or so ago.
-
Nope, a cheat and a liability. Nb Though if you mean a special one month deal for any May when we are neck and neck in the title race - then I might reconsider.
-
A very good three points. I wasn't looking for the last 5 mins plus injury time though!
-
He did indeed. i just wondered how the news was given out.
-
Did they ask and he walked away or did they say he'd refused...or?
-
Celtic and Rangers could finally quit Scottish football...
SteveC replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't see why this league would be considered an attraction/moneymaking. All the focus would still be on the revamped Chumps league. This'd be like, in terms of interest, the Europa league minus all the temporarily fallen big teams that are mixed in with that to make it vaguely of interest to sponsors and TV companies. I do want us out of Scotland so it is heartening in that sense but I don't see a long term viability or excitement (after the novelty wore off). Hell of a challenge for supporters' clubs too........... -
I don't think we come out of that looking good at all, the journalist sounded like he was asking a question nothing to do with Barton and Traynor was just being a bully. Had he pulled MW out of the room before the next question had started, then fine, but he didn't - instead he waited too long to clamp down imo.....

Given that Bellamy joined the scheme upon joining them, then they undoubtedly are - how else would he have been instantly enrolled. However, they also, undoubtedly, will not be blamed. indeed they will be pitied. TLB, who hypocritically was critical of us received pity when he lost money in the scheme.

Yep: http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/club-statement-69/ Reads very like "goodbye"...can't see the point in a week's extension other than that they are haggling over settlement details. God alone knows what he'll tweet about us after he leaves

Depends what he saw and was reacting to. A Rangers' player lying prone with danger all around him would move most into some action or another, I'd have thought. I realise it may have been someone just fancying a punch up on the pitch but we don't really know yet, do we? Also, and again without wishing to condone something that may (only may thus far) be out of order, I grew up going to games in the 70s and the idea of any fans, far less Rangers' lads, not reacting to a mob of pitch invaders giving it wanker signs etc. is hard for me to imagine. The Irish chap, Barry Glendenning, reporting on it on the Guardian podcast, said that we only reacted after the most severe provocation.

Did he eat those on Garner and Senderos, too? Both will rack up many a suspension methinks.......
