  1. A slippery slope to securing our stadium, and getting shot of an incompetent CEO, who is currently under police investigation. Scary stuff.
  2. There's a double your money opportunity here, assuming you think we will be back in the CL in a reasonable timescale. It's also assuming there won't be another insolvency event, or a de-listing. All things considered, I think I'd rather spin a roulette wheel, than invest.
  3. Around 6k a week is probably what Miller considers to be "nominal". It's a gimpy signing, regardless of the wage. A 2 year contract is even more unbelievable. The thought of Miller leading the line upon our return to the spl is frightening.
  4. A/ We can ill-afford to alienate, and possibly lose paying customers. B/ It would show a level of understanding about how dire the situation is, and not a "normal" season. C/ It would give the UOF one less thing in their favour. D/ It's just morally the correct thing to do. How about you give us a few reasons why it's a good thing for the board to do. Saying "that's how it's always been", just doesn't cut it anymore. There's zero net benefit to the club, or the company by being so blatantly obstinate.
  5. The board could easily have gone down the conciliatory route, by guaranteeing peoples seats once this debacle has reached its logical conclusion. Sadly, yet again, they have chosen the passive/aggressive tactic, quite oblivious to the fact it will only be used against them, and cause a further rift between boardroom and support. For all the cash that we piss away on media/public relations advisors, time after time they make a right arse of it. Whether this is out of contempt for its customers, or a desperation to get cash in quickly, it's only serving to annoy people even more. Anyone who is committed to the King initiative, will surely not be swayed by the threat of losing their seat, as much as it may mean to them. It's yet again another own goal from these incompetents, in a string of never-ending public relations disasters. Running any business on the back of emotional blackmail is doomed to end in failure. A level of understanding on why people are holding back, would have earned them some much needed brownie points, but once again, they prove how disconnected they are from the ordinary fan.
  6. Was Ally not in the employ of the SFA before he re-joined us as coach? This talk of him never getting another job is retarded. If the likes of Butcher can stay employed in football, I'm sure Ally could, assuming he even wanted another job anywhere else but Rangers.
  7. I'd rather have kept Little than that empty jersey Daly, or a 34 yr old Miller. Wish him well wherever he goes. One of the few of our squad that appreciated the honour of playing for us.
  8. I don't think Gordon has been included in any FM squads for a while. It's where Ser gets all his info, and views from. The forum really needs a generic Ally bashing thread. That way I wouldn't waste any time reading the same dross day after day.
  9. I'm not too bothered if he has shares, or not, and using that as a stick to beat him with makes no sense. Does it make his utterings less valid if he doesn't? I find it odd that a succession of people continue to say he doesn't, without evidence to back it up, or reason that it's even relevant.
  10. I'm still torn between the conspiracy theory of them all working together, and the thought that they may just be a collection of greedy b*stards out for what they can get. It's probably more of the latter, sprinkled with small groups of people working for each others benefit. You can't deny that Green and Ahmad have set the blueprint in how to royally fuck us over.
  11. If the existing shareholders do hoover up most of the available shares, then King, as he has said many times, will be happy with that. It's this imaginary thought that King craves complete control that is severely clouding the main issue. The club needs millions in the immediate future. I'm sure King would be more than satisfied if most of it came from other sources. It's a win/win for the club, which is all King is asking for. If it comes about that there is enough shares left for King to gain a controlling interest, then he is happy with that scenario also. The current shareholders don't like this idea, because they already have full control for relatively little investment.
  12. How can DK create any type of business plan without access to current commercial deals etc? What Wallace churned out was no business plan. It was a business review, which frankly a wean could've written.
  13. I thought the reqs had closer to 40 than 30, but I'll bow to your probably better memory. Going by that, King would have needed at least 25% to gain the majority, which wouldn't even have been all his. There's no guarantee than some of the reqs backers would have stayed on board. Apart from that, was there even 25% of available shares to purchase, at a reasonable rate? Seems they are now asking around £6m for 25%. That's £6m less available for players, just so king can own 25%, which gives him little power, for which he would have to pay way over the odds for. Whatever way you look at the maths, buying up shares just isn't going to happen. He's said several times he won't be doing this. This doesn't invalidate anything else he may be saying, or doing at the moment. People let you freely spout nonsense on a daily basis on here, without telling you to shut up. Why can't you allow a fellow fan the same privilege?
  14. No one has the right to tell any concerned Rangers fan to shut up. Even if King said he'll never invest a penny, he's still entitled to an opinion. He'll happily "put up", if the board find a way to allow it to happen.
  15. You really are obsessed with imagining that all King wants is "control". He wants his money to help the club, to enable us to buy players. It really is that simple. Buying up a few piddling shares here and there will achieve nothing. The reqs had around 40% backing at the agm and lost every single vote.
  16. I wish people would stfu with the "put up or shut up nonsense". It wasn't King that got us into this mess, and yet people think it's on him to get us out of it, just because he dares to tell it like it is. There's no mechanism for him to currently invest to the benefit of the club, so it's not going to happen. He's even said this himself. It's a mexican stand-off, created by the current shareholders, and a succession of incompetent directors. There's a list a mile long of people to blame before King's name should be mentioned. Mr Green has created a situation that has truly fucked us over, mostly for the benefit of him and his cronies. Expecting King to put it right overnight is extremely naive.
  17. You should remember that the next time you moan about Ally for the hundredth time.
  18. Our season ended the day Naismith got crocked, aided and abetted by Jelavic swanning about like a stroppy teenager. Ally still had enough in him to stop them winning it at Ibrox. Quickly forgotten by most of us.
  19. It's the lack of league titles that matters. To be perfectly frank, most football supporters are pretty clueless about football in general, ironically.
  20. The percentage of people not renewing because the football is shite, is traditionally very low. People will keep renewing as long as the manager is delivering titles, and horsing the ********. Obviously the internet is awash with the usual attention seekers, saying they wont, but they probably will in the end. Our style of football, and choice of manager should be way down our list of priorities at the moment. It won't matter two fucks if we start playing like Barca, and the wages stop getting payed. I say all that as someone who wanted Ally out the day he sat in a studio with Green, in London, and endorsed his share issue, and encouraged fans to part with money in a get rich scheme for the few. Wanting him out now because the football is rotten is laughable.
  21. "We (the Requisitioners) said we would serve on the board for nothing. "Our purpose was not personal gain or self-aggrandisement. We were all prepared to work together for the good of the club." This is the polar opposite of what we have had for 2 seasons, and for the foreseeable. It's tragic how we have good men prepared to work their arses off for nothing, and some of us call them every name under the sun. When people like Mr Wilson, and Mr King speak, it's abundantly clear how much they care for the club. Future generations won't forgive us for not giving them 100% backing. It's sad how the term "Rangers man", has somehow become synonymous with wanting to harm us. It really is a shite state of affairs.
