  1. FFS Usually the kits pros wear are of higher quality too. EG they are better material than the general £45 replicas you get in the shop. One size fits all for us though eh! That is utterly embarrassing. Obviously we are on some sort of budget deal to try and save some money. I remember in the Murray era we were making our own kits at one point and getting the biggest diddy brands imaginable (eg Diadora). Funnily enough the only tops I have ever had problems with have been ours and such problems never, ever happened with Nike and Adidas.
  2. Out of all the young players produced by us in the past 10-15 years, I wonder how many more would actually have made something of themselves if they had talented management playing them from 17/18 in the first team, and the necessary coaches to help bring them along at that age. We seem to have some decent players up to about that age group, then they usually spent the next few years getting no first team football and get released to an SPL or lower levels team. I think the 17/18-21 sort of age is a crucial time when a player needs regular games at a decent level plus the correct coaching. Take someone like Jordan McMillan for example, it's fair to say this career is going nowhere but he was seen as having huge potential at one point. Had he be playing regularly from 18 perhaps his development would have gone all together differently. Instead from 18-23 he made 3 appearances for us.
  3. Always been the shop I have dealt with previously. PS - Another thing that's annoying is this is a common manufacturer fault and I'm sure they know all about it http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=258704

  5. I doubt we'd ever get more than £100k for him, probably get no fee at all. Over the piece he was very poor though he looked quite good v Dundee United. A defensive minded player that either plays defensive midfield or in defence, he might have stood a chance were he not played wide in midfield
  6. I wonder if any other side has ever played 30 different players to win the third division in Scotland.
  7. Arteta isn't half the player now he was a few years ago. He was tremendous for Everton.
  8. I bought the third kit on the 1st of September. Very quickly the sponsor started peeling off, as it did for many others. I reported this to them in October, they said to return the item. However, I wasn't in any rush to do so, I didn't want another top, so I forgot about it for a while. In May I emailed them again asking them to confirm I can still send the top back. I was quite stunned to be told: I have argued back and force regarding this because I am protected by the Sale of Goods Act and a 12 month manufacturer warranty but they are not budging. The warranty does not expire on some arbitrary date of their choosing. They are ignoring me now. I've sent 4 separate emails citing the law, they sent 3 emails back repeating themselves and didn't reply to my last email. I don't care about the money but I do care about the principle, who should I report this to? I don't see much point in contacting the club. I know I should have dealt with this at the time and just put it back, but as long as the item is within the warranty period, they have no right to just flat out refuse to even inspect it. Here is the shirt in question, worn only a few times and costing £48.98 including delivery:
  9. It's a no brainer for him. Either a year in the u20's with us or the chance to get first team football at Utd.
  10. Is it safe to say now that the 'new board' have also failed?
  11. Settle down. He was 28/29 when we signed him and never a regular in the Holland squad. His goal record wasn't that great either in Holland. Certainly was a great player for us pre-injury though. To be anything like world class you really need to be consistently performing in top tournaments, at international level etc. World class forwards at that time were the likes of Henry, Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Bergkamp etc.
  12. A professional is someone who does it full time. The correct term would actually be semi-professional. Either way, it is part-timers we have been regularly looking very poorly against.
  13. For the nth time, I said most of the teams we have been playing have not been professionals, they have been part-timers. How you can object to a stated fact is anyone's guess. This isn't the first time you have done this. As for your second point, what happened decades ago is irrelevant given how football has changed.
  14. What ? That's exactly what I'm saying. Are you on the wind up?
  15. You highlighted me saying we aren't playing professionals and said that was nonsense. What I said was perfectly valid bar the odd exception eg Dunfermline.
  16. So we haven't been playing against part-timers for the past 2 seasons? What a strange comment.
  17. They will have the host advantage which can be fairly significant, look how well South Korea did (though very dodgy refs helped). I can't see past Spain though. If Costa is fit they will have a top striker now as well, which they haven't had since Villa was at his peak. They pretty much won the Euro's with no recognised striker (I think Torres only started against Ireland), with Fabregas often as a false 9. Costa will add a different dimension. With Costa joining Chelsea he will probably become a complete turkey now though !
  18. Correct, the football was particularly bad in Eck's later seasons and also under Walter. With Walter we were very poor in possession (bar the tail end of 10/11) but still generally achieved success. The football now though is taking it to a whole new level. It's completely unwatchable and I feel you would really struggle to find many other teams that are as boring to watch. When we play I find it increasingly hard to concentrate and find looking at my phone more interesting. It also has to be factored in that we are not even playing professionals any more. We should be looking like world beaters against such poor opposition. This past season is the first time since I was about 5 years old that I have not gone to a match. That had nothing to do with the board and was simply down to the disgraceful football.
  19. Ramires - Blows hot and cold. Oscar - Terrific player but has been posted missing for 6 months. Willian - Also has blown hot and cold at Chelsea. Fernandinho - has been very solid for City but I wouldn't call him a world beater. Paulinho - had a poor season. Hernanes - not a regular at Inter. Gustavo - Again, solid but not a world beater. Compare that to Spain for example who have the three standout world class central midfielders in world football. Also, Germany have a plethora of world class players in midfield eg Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Reus (midfielder/forward) etc. I'm not saying Brazil don't have decent players, I just don't see that squad winning the tournament. With regard to me saying their midfield and attack is light, look at their squad when they last won the world cup. Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo etc. Of course it's not just about individual talent but I just don't see past Spain and the only teams I see troubling them are Germany and Argentina.
  20. They are very light in midfield and attack, this must be the poorest squad they have ever had.
  21. I am aware of that, I was questioning why it takes such a ridiculous time to get it. 'Made to order' I want a refund because I don't want to give any money to something associated with RST/FF. I don't want their schemes getting any of my money.
