I said a while back that this squad wasn't going to do much this season. It hasn't the balance or depth. Too many players who need managed because of age or chronic injury problems. Recruitment hasn't resolved these problems, at least in the short term. The whole shooting match is starting to look like a slow motion car crash.

Left out due to fitness concerns and attitude. Senior players on board with decision. That is damming.

Same goes for Goldson/central defence. Morelos should be sold but there would need to be a buyer and I can't see anyone offering more than loose change.

We seem to have went head long into Victimhood after Saturday, when our main problems are very much in house. Collum made ONE glaring mistake (Lundstram red card) I think we could have went on and won with 10, but we'll never know. When it went to 9, we were holed beneath the water line and it WASN'T Collum's fault.

You said you have never seen him referee a game not involving Rangers so I would imagine it difficult for you to make such comparisons. Scottish referees regularly get things wrong. It is not just Scottish footballers who have went downhill over the past decades. If you want to say he is a cheat, get off the fence and just come out with it. The only referee who gives me bad vibes is Clancy.

I don't disagree with much in your post (except on Morelos sending off). My point had been simply that Collum wasn't cheating per se.

Very difficult to source the best version of Morelos, even when he is here. He won't command a really big fee whenever he goes.

Depends on who you replace him with. This idea that we are going to get a huge fee for Morelos is fanciful.

Call me a drama queen but if there is a big contract offer on the table for Morelos, I'd remove it and try and shift him before the end of the month.

He gave us the benefit of the doubt on penalty decisions at both ends in the first half. Strange that, if he has it in for us. Naw, Collum is a particular type of ref, but he isn't a cheat. Our problems lie closer to home and domestically, I can see something similar to last season, only worse.

Gio has more important stuff to sort out. We need to be winning against provincial teams in a way that makes officials incidental.

Morelos peaked at Ibrox after coming back from an international break in January this year...for about a month before he had to start playing through an injury. He was playing with a level of touch that was real class and a maturity/responsibility. He looked like the player we all hoped he'd develop into. Had he continued in that vein, I think we win the Europa League. It would have been a fitting way for him to go all the way in a competition he has done so well in for several years. The injury was one of those unfortunate things that football can throw in your face. Now, he seems to have forgotten about the maturity/responsibility and has reset back to the beginning.

Good place to stop criticism in its tracks would be to go through on Wednesday. Can't say I'm confident but we've being doing the Jeykll and Hyde with Europe/Domestic for years now, so you never know.

You can't slap opposition players on the head. It is a fairly basic rule.

Lundstram wasn't a red, but the Morelos slap to the heid is. A stupid, absolutely unnecessary gesture that was compounded (re.annoyance levels) by his reaction.

And there begins again, the ability to snatch a draw from a winning position. Morelos back to old habits cost us more than anything IMO
