I know I've said all that, and it's all true and the evidence has been posted. I don't think any Rangers fan can honestly say we haven't been hampered by incorrect refereeing and VAR decisions this season. I don't think any Rangers fan can honestly say we aren't on the receiving end or incorrect refereeing and VAR decisions in the majority of OF games this season. If they can, then they haven't been watching the games. I don't know if it's bias or not, nobody does other than those responsible for the decisions. It's certainly now out of the "honest mistake" category as its happening far to often. In OF games, we need to score 2 goals to win 1-0 If the goal yesterday wasn't disallowed or we'd been awarded a penalty, we'd have won the cup. The refereeing decisions are costing us points and trophies. However, the improvement of the squad and the injury situation is as important as calling out the refereeing decisions. They are not mutually exclusive
-
All honest mistakes mate. Nothing to see, move along. I'm sure they'll even themselves out next season. We'll get all the dubious decisions and they'll get none of them.
-
Or find out what Utrecht have done to transform him into an effective, free scoring number 9.
-
Where have I been ambiguous? I think we are on the wrong end of refereeing / VAR decisions and there is evidence to show this to be true. That's all I'm saying. Only the Referee's and / or SFA can tell us if they are being biased against Rangers. It really doesn't matter what you or I think. I don't think anyone is using the incorrect decision to mask how poor we are as a team or club. Maybe our Chairman will come out of hiding and actually tell us what the club think on referees and how we are going to ensure the squad / injury situation is rectified.
-
I think we all know that, but the initial foul in the incident is against Raskin, so the foul on Hart is an irrelevance.
-
I've clearly stated in numerous posts what I think. I think we are on the receiving end of bizarre refereeing and VAR decisions especially in OF games whilst Celtic aren't. I don't think I'm being ambiguous in stating what I believe is happening. I'm also clear in believing that a referee who openly supports one of the teams participating in the Cup final shouldn't be allowed to referee it.
-
The evidence is clear - Raskin is fouled before he pushes Hart (ot puts his hands on him). Ian has posted several videos that clearly show that and we have to assume VAR would also have these available. It's either a penalty to Rangers or a goal to Rangers. Yet, it was awarded as a free kick to Celtic.

Gersnet Article Summer 2024: Rip it up and start again?
CammyF replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Cifuentes is on-loan until January so we are not selling him. Butland, Hagi and Ridvan are the only 3 players we are likely to receive offers for so they should be sold. Unless Goldson and Tav can be tempted to Saudi (Tav very unlikely to move there). We should be looking at getting Sima and Cortes back on-loan but unlikely to get Sima given his contract situation. -
Anyone else notice the assistant referee run onto the pitch and show Diomande a red card? Same clown who flagged Sima offside when he ran on to a goal-kick!!!

What I think is that for some reason (unknown to me) we have been on the wrong end of crucial VAR decisions in more than half of this seasons OF games. Decisions that happened at crucial times in these games. Whilst Celtic have not been on the wrong end of any. We have also been on the wrong end of "incorrect VAR calls" including one where our player was red carded, we lost the appeal (extra game ban) and then later VAR review on decisions concluded it was an incorrect call. It's not for me to say if it's bias, but there are a he'll of a lot of honest mistakes going against us. I wonder why a self confessed Celtic fan was given the Cup Final involving the team he supports?
-
It wouldn't be a massive problem if they highlighted the inconsistency of refs and VAR and it shouldn't distract them from rebuilding the squad. Both are serious issues that the Rangers board need to face up to.
-
Here is the incident in full - first foul is on Raskin. Honest mistakes happen tho.
-
OK even if I am insinuating that there is bias, its not the same as saying there is a conspiracy. A Celtic supporting referee disallowing a goal scored against Celtic in a Cup Final could indicate bias, but not necessarily a conspiracy. It's just simple coincidence (or bad luck, or poor judgement) that only one team has benefited from VAR calls and inly one team has suffered during OF games this season.
-
Imagine the outcry if a self confessed Rangers supporting referee disallowed a Celtic goal in a Scottish Cup Final and Celtic went on to lose the game.
-
No, you are putting words in my mouth. There is no way that goal would have been chopped of at the other end. We all know that. I'm not saying it's bias, it's just reality of the situation.
-
Nah, it's not a conspiracy, it's not as if Walsh is a well known, self confessed Celtic fan. Oh, wait.......
-
Just an honest mistake - there is no other explanation for it 🤷♂️
-
Stop it, it was a stone wall penalty apparently. As you correctly say, the ball is deflected onto Davies hand - can't believe anyone (especially a Rangers fan) believed it was a penalty.
-
Who's saying there is a conspiracy? You're the only one mentioning it.
-
Think its more on the board. Clement has had his say today, time for the board to back it up and ask for answers.
-
More honest mistakes

We're still awaiting to hear the audio from the New Year game.
-
Are they all Masons 🤔😀
-
But the first foul is on Raskin - so if the goal is chopped off, then it's a penalty to Rangers. I haven't mentioned bias, I'm saying Walsh and VAR got it wrong, How's that wailing about bias? We have had three goals chopped off against them this season and I said that's some coincidence. It's up to others to decide of its simply incompetence or something more sinister. Any club should be free to use video evidence to show how wrong referees get decisions.
-
But that doesn't make this the correct call. It would be interesting to hear / see exactly what Walsh was shown on the screen. It was the quickest VAR check this season. There is no clear and obvious error in the incident. The referee has seen the "mini-fouls" and given the goal. No reason for VAR to get involved. However if they do get involved they have to review the entire incident which would have led to either the goal.stamdimg or us getting a penalty. The least obvious outcome was the one the ref and VAR got to within 10 seconds. Ignoring the dubious VAR decisions won't make them disappear.
