Whilst we all would like immediate success, it wad always going to take a while to become the top club again. Whilst 1 league title, 1 Scottish Cup and a EL final doesn't sound like much, it's something to build upon. My only quibble is that the board didn't back SG after 55 (and noticeable progress in Europe). The summer signings are on paper at least, very exciting prospects. MB's role now is to get them into a system of playing that plays to their strengths and brings out the best n them. I'm really excited about the season ahead and not often I've said that in the last decade.

I think a lot of Rangers fans don't realise just how good a player Roofe is as (the 55 season apart) we've not seen enough of him due to various injuries. Well one last friendly on Saturday before the season kicks off a week later. MB confirmed tonight it'll be a "trimmed squad" that will travel to Germany so this might give us an idea of which players he believes will be the catalyst for the forthcoming season. He also said that our European Squad that will be submitted next week and the ommisions from this squad will give a clear indication on who we are looking to move on. Rumours (hopefully that's all they are) that Beale and Butland had a major bust up, hence he didn't play any part tonight. As I said, hopefully just rumours and no foundation as we can't go into the season with McCrorie and McLaughlin as our keepers.

Think Beale said something along those lines post Hamburg that they were asking a lot with intense training and tough friendly games. Can only hope we benefit when the serious stuff starts.

It's as if Yilmaz gets a free pass simply as he "isn't" Barasic. I've seen nothing since he signed to indicate that he is a regular starter for Rangers.
